The classism of lacking sympathy when public transit users run late is fucking sick by the way

I already do. My commute is over an hour for what would amount to 20 minutes of driving if I had the privilege to afford and own a car. I leave myself 20 extra minutes- the amount of time it would take to drive to work- in case of delays and it still isn't enough sometimes. A 20 minute drive vs 80+ minutes of public transit. With a car you could drive to work, forget something, drive all the way back to your house, and then return to work and still beat me there. With going there and back I'm giving up 6x more of my life per day without compensation bc I take the train. Cut me some fucking slack.
