((Spoilers for anime-only watchers !))
For manga readers: sounds familiar?
In the final arc, Sensei slowly developed settings (ch195) that are unfortunately probably heading towards a similar predicament:

(i love u Gudrid, thank you for supporting Thorfinn so well)

I don't think the Lnu people will be the real threat, though it's true that the rampaging epidemic is certainly a cause for concern and I'm looking forward to finding out how Thorfinn will handle the whole "kill a few to save the many" approach that Canute is meanwhile conducting in Europe.
TBH I'm wayyy more worried about that guy Styrk...

...because his identity is a misery for a probably very relevant reason. I first thought he was Garm (because of the fake face marks and the spear), but at times he sounds too clever to be Garm lmao. He makes me think of Askeladd (purposely written that way by Sensei), though we know for certain that Askeladd is dead.
However, since it's the final arc, it is also to be expected that some events to come will parallel prior events of the series, so that Thorfinn realizes and proves how far he's come since the Prologue. That's why I think Karli might eventually be in danger, leading Thorfinn to live exactly through the situation that caused his own father's death, during the Prologue.
Meanwhile, in the village, since men slowly get ready for war against the Lnu people (thanks for nothing, Styrk), there will probably be a decisive moment in which the left alone women and children will be in danger, exactly like it happened to Arnheid, from the Ketil Farm Arc.
Hopefully, Thorfinn and his allies (Einar, Gudrid, Hild, Bug-Eye, Cordelia, etc) will both times manage to outlive these parallels.

Oh and by the way, I don't know yet if Sensei did it on purpose, but Thorfinn's village of settlers in Vinland is even called Arnheid's Village. If that's not possible foreshadowing, I don't know what is. T_T

moni, my lovely friend! cosmos, marigold, tigerlilly (for the ask game)! 💗
nikki! hii baby, thanks so much for dropping by! 🫶🏾💕
cosmos—what's the best compliment you've ever received? who was it from?
the sweetest compliment i received was from my amazing mother! she said that she felt blessed to have me as her daughter, and that meant the entire world to me! i knowww it’s sappy but i love my momma <3
marigold— do you wear any kind of jewelry on a regular basis? if so, what kind?
i usually wear small silver jewelry, like a pair of tiny stud earrings or a dainty necklace. but the one piece of jewelry that i’ll never go without is the handmade bracelet that my boyfriend gifted to me on my 20th birthday :)
tigerlily— do you have any favorite quotes from any movies, tv shows, books, or poetry? (or from people in real life)
this answer of mine only confirms that im terribly obsessed with vinland saga right now . . . but my current favorite quote is “you have no enemies,” said by that fine man Thors Snoresson! whatever you say, daddy 🤭

Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Vinland Saga’ Season 2 on Netflix, A Brutal Return to the World of Vikings and Violence That Follows A New Protagonist
Vinland Saga‘s first season was an incomparable historical epic that not only set the stage for multiple seasons, but for multiple characters whose points-of-view could be used to illustrate the day-to-day realities of this harsh world. Season 2 shifts the focus from Thors Snoresson to his son, Thorfinn, but will this change hold interest for fans who were invested so heavily in Season 1? Opening…

Observing Ylva'ss reaction to the loss of Thors and Trotfinn I can suggest that she would have such a copy mechanism, thanks to which she would overcome grief and some upheavals through workload and hard labor work.

Thinking about how great the level of guilt and grief had Leif after what happened to Thors and Thorfinn, that he even bought out from slavery a guy who vaguely resembled Thorfinn, gave him his name, and tried to give him that life that Thorfinn could live  but was deprived of this opportunity.
