also as a nonbinary myself (a nonbinary man but still) i dont get the idea of "enby" being infantilizing? like okay the -by is like the sound in baby. but the primary image it invokes in my brain is the abreviation "nb" from nonbinary. ive always thought of it as just the spelled out version to avoid confusion with other meanings of nb like non-black. and ive never heard an alternative suggested either like are we just "nonbinaries" then
