               𝐓𝐇𝐄   𝐁𝐎𝐘'𝐒   𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍   𝐈𝐒   𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂  ----   a cheap imitation of what he’d hoped to be.     if he’d ever felt like he’d been wearing a  real  one ,  it’d have slipped long ago.     he feels like a child playing follow leader because the grownups told him to ,  being tossed about in a sea of uncertainty with nothing steady to hold on to.      the whole situation is unsafe   &  he’s not sure who’s fault it is.     his    or   theirs.     emotions have been running higher   &   higher  but he never thought it’d come to...     that.    he should’ve known better than to think     brawn     was a cure ,   that    hulk    was never again to rear his angry head.      & he did ,  in a way...     after all ,  he’s still him.           he’s    still    hurt.

that had always been a possibility.     a liability ,  really.     banner was right.

wait but i thought he was deaf since he was a kid??

He was temporarily deafened (Though it’s shown he can still hear some noise) by his father when he was about four or five leading him to be HOH. The arrows though the ears were what really did it.

                                                        THE SILENCE BEFORE A BIG REVEAL  is a tenser  one for those involved than the movies & TV make it out to be   ---  a million hypotheticals cross his mind  &  the skin on the back of his neck prickles.     nerves ,  sensing danger that may or may not be there  --- he doesn’t know yet  &  that’s what’s making him anxious.
