hello all!

this is going to be my pinned post with a little information about this account

My name is August (or Auggie/Aug), I’m 21, and I’m a writer. My primary fandom is The Mysterious Benedict Society and this is a sideblog to avoid flooding my MBS friends with House in the Cerulean Sea content. My main blog is @mysteriouseggsbenedict which has MBS content as well as personal/life ramblings

My ao3 is @.thegreatkatewritingmachine and that is where any Cerulean Sea fics I write will end up!

I use they/she pronouns and I’m asexual and greyromantic. I have been out for about a year and love being a part of the queer community, so I’m also totally down to connect with people about that!

The fics I write are teen rated at most (there will be kissing and feelings, but nothing more). I don’t write smut or anything explicit, and the only ship I will be writing for this fandom is arthur/linus. I’m not sure if this is an issue in this fandom but I don’t want to see any underage or sibling ships. 

I don’t write for commission or request unless I ask for it, like ask games that have people submit prompts, that kind of thing. 

I use the tag “augswriting” for my writing and “thoughtsofaug” for any random posts unrelated to cerulean sea, although I probably will keep most of those posts to my main account anyway. 

Some fun things about me:

I’m an English student who most enjoys research papers about my interests, poetry, and creative writing.

I live in the pacific northwest and like going for walks, hikes, and (of course) trips to the beach

I really like historical fashion! I like researching and learning about it in my spare time and I’ve done some writing on it. Shopping for and wearing vintage-inspired clothes is also super fun for me. 

My favorite foods are pad thai, cheesecake, banana-flavored things (banana bread, banana pancakes, banana ice cream....) and iced chai tea lattes

My favorite books as a kid were The Mysterious Benedict Society (and still is as an adult whoops), the Magic Treehouse series, and the American Girl series (Molly and Kit were my favorites!)

Also sorry to anyone who has missed my mbs content on here. I still love mbs, but I got a new hyperfixation in July, and most of my leisure time has been spent on that. So that's why I haven't been posting new fic. But mbs is still dear to me and i will read your fics and reblog posts as they come up<3

my brain is like the brain in Inside Out where there are 5 different little people and one of those people is the dominant one, except instead of emotions i have hyperfixations, and right now ted lasso is the dominant one instead of mbs so that is why i have been posting less mbs stuff. my deepest apologies. i do not control the little brain people.

i should be over this by now but every week i get sad after watching the episode because nobody is online to talk about it and everyone already talked about it last night so it's just me like "hey guys! i've watched it now!" and then no reaction

it always surprises me when people are like "i went for a walk and now i'm far away from home and i'm thirsty" or "i'm hungry at [location away from home] but no snacks" because i genuinely forget everyone else can leave their house without packing food and water without having intense anxiety about it
