Where: Alecto's former town house Who:@alectocarrowx Antonin showed up, he found it odd to be knocking at Alecto's door so soon or at all, but she had promised a discount and he wanted to at least see the space. He had surveyed the grounds and found them passable the area was nice enough, and it wasn't so conspicuous if you didn't know who the former tenant was, still he found it hard to knock. Eventually willing himself to rap on the door. He was not sure if it would turn into another lesson. She did seem to enjoy trying to humble him.

Severus sighed as he waited for the bartender to make his drink - he had kept one in his hand the majority of the night for lack of knowing what else to do with his hands. He nodded his thanks, dropping a couple knuts into the tip jar and turning around, taking a moment to prepare himself to re enter the festivities when a familiar face ended up next in line at the bar behind him.
"Alecto." He greeted, a small wave of relief washing over him for the company. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to see you here."

"It was a nice chat wasn't it. I'll look into it." Would he buy her house, it was nice enough, but the fact she was selling it likely to move in with Rabastan, would it be enough for what he needed. At least in the short term yes. If nothing else it would be a challenge in detection and enchantment making sure there were no little surprises. "Say hello to young Rabastan for me. Tell him your old place might have better storage for my socks." He tapped his nose before turning away and taking a drink knowing it was something that might stick in her mind especially if she didn't pass on the message.
Alecto noted the way he changed the subject and would give him credit for it. He did wish to keep his life. "I am in the market of selling my townhome, the dungeon included." He had already seen it and knew the layout. Those that would benefit from the extra in the basement she would reach out first, before removing it to put on the market for anyone to purchase.
At least he was congratulating and not whining about not receiving an invitation. "Thank you, I do appreciate it." From the corner of her eye she catches Rabastan. "Excuse me, I see my husband." A pause. "It was nice chatting." No, it was not, but pleasantries were required.

Who: @alectocarrowx Where: Malfoy x Black Wedding
He was feeling giddy, whether it was the various conversations or the steady supply of drink, or watching the bartender cry as he strong armed them to fill his near bottomless glass with some of the top shelf alcohol on display. He flitted in taking a seat. "Miss Carrow, you seem a bit bored, we'll have to fix that, have you been properly, dined, drunk and danced?"

Who: @alectocarrowx Where: Carrow Manor Antonin approached the old house, it didn't seem so different from the other manors he'd been to, but he knew better than to try and let himself in as much fun as it would be to take Alecto by surprise. He knocked on the door wondering if he'd come across her brother or some kind of house elf, the creatures seemed to dog his steps these days, he still suspected the Lestrange's hand in this. He leaned on the door post sure she would be happy to receive him.

First order of business had been to get a drink, obviously. But after that, Kitty had just sort of.... wandered around, taking it all in before she decided what she wanted to do. She had taken a flower offered by one of the black boys with a cheeky grin, tucking it behind her ear before sauntering away, and now she spied the unmistakable red hair of her friend. She grinned, slowing her steps to try and sneak up on Alecto - a near impossible task, she was convinced. But that didn't mean she wouldn't try.
"Oh, come on." She murmured close to her ear as she leaned slightly over her shoulder, unable to stifle a laugh as the other turned, and Kitty nodded her head toward the booth. "You know you want to."
Where: Firefly Festival, Near the body paint station
When: Around 6pm
Who: Alecto and open
There were still way too many children around for her liking. She supposed that was what happened when one came to Hogsmeade. But it really was not her thing at all. That was why she had a bar in Knockturn alley. It kind of stopped the children coming. Of course, Alecto could have just not come, that would have solved this, but she figured she should at least show her face. It was getting kind of late, or well, late in the afternoon, and so surely the children would be going back to school soon. Alecto certainly hoped so.
The red head paused near the body paint station, tilting her head to the side. She wasn't one against body modifications. She did have a fair few tattoos after all, but that body paint, seemed very interesting indeed. She bit her lip, trying to decide if she would go for some or not.

"The curtains aren't that bad when you notice the couches." Direct as expect, Andromeda could assume nothing less from a Carrow twin. A small laugh trickled up as she shook her head. "Alecto, is this your proposition to exchange gossip?" Andromeda was amused. Finally, some decent company from another sane person at school. For the first time this whole evening, Andromeda allowed herself to smile.
"Young Prewett walked into me, fortunately nothing spilt. Regardless, it was a sorry sight to behold," "Apparently, Hogwarts is a very classy establishment and people have been getting acquainted in beds that aren't theirs. Needless to say, the night has been interested, but nothing I don't expect from Gryffindor."
an open starter for anyone interested! where: the gryffindor common room when: september 13th, 1978 what: event 001 @noxstarters
This party wasn't the complete failure Alecto had expected, though she wouldn't go so far as to call it a success either. It was passable enough, with enough food that even someone as picky as her could find something to eat and the not-at-all illicitly-obtained alcohol certainly did not hurt. It didn't do much to stop Alecto's eyes from fixing on the truly horrific amount of scarlet littering the place, though, and she took a long, slow sip of her firewhiskey as she stared at one of the tapestries, attempting to set it on fire with just her eyes.
As someone walked up to her, Alecto did not pull her gaze from her target. "This entire common room is hideous," she observed with a sneer. "I'm tempted to confringo the whole bloody place." Finally turning to look at the person that had approached her, Alecto raised one eyebrow. "From the look on your face, something just happened. What is it? Tell me everything."

“If I was going to poison you, you would know it.” Pointless words but they amused him especially while he was brewing tea for the two of them. How would he do it if he was going to. Likely leave it to someone else, or poison both cups he had been thinking about poisoning himself for so long, surviving it was really the hard part. “The house is treating me well, I have enjoyed its solitude, really you are only the second guest I have had and the first to invite themselves.” She could hear his smile from the other room and was only proved right once he appeared with two cups of tea offering one to her.
Alecto stepped inside with the same confidence she always wore, as if the house were still hers, or never stopped being. Her gaze slid over the room with subtle calculation, noting the details he had preserved and the ones he hadn’t.
"Craftsmanship should never be wasted on the unworthy," she said. "Though I suppose flattery was always one of your better poisons."
She chose the most indulgent chair and lowered herself into it like a queen returning to her throne. Her eyes trailed after him as he moved. “How is the house treating you?"

Rita had not been having a good night. What she'd thought would have been the event to be at had turned into little more than a drunken incestuous sesspool of people trying to get in each other's pants. Not that she couldn't appreciate that from time to time, but she had bought a new dress for this - she had put on her highest heels and most expensive jewelry, and four separate men had almost spilled a beer on them. That, she had no patience for. And there hadn't been a single secret to slip past any of their lips. So much for drunken minds, she thought.
Luckily, she found Delirium to be rather empty and she breathed a sigh of relief. She took her usual spot at the end of the bar with a frustrated puff of air and put her clutch down roughly on the wooden counter top. "You better be doing shots with me tonight because I want to forget what a giant waste of time that stupid ministry gala ended up being." She frowned, meeting Alecto's gaze.
Where: Delirium Bar, Knockturn Alley
When: Around 11pm
Who: Alecto and Open
It was an quiet night for the bar. It wasn't that unusual for a night in January. So it didn't worry Alecto. She supposed if her bar was constantly quiet it would be a worry. But she had no concerns that that would ever happen. She'd taken the little run down bar and make it into a successful business. She might have left school with barely any qualifications, but Alecto was a good business woman. And she'd made the bar successful. And if she was honest, a break from some of the more rowdy nights, was a good thing.
She'd sent one of the bartenders home, and was sat behind the bar herself. She was mostly going through new cocktail ideas, whilst being on hand to serve if needed. She looked up as someone approached the bar, and she smirked a little. "Didn't expect to see you here tonight"

Alecto was a complicated figure for her. A friend of Bella, any of her sisters or her cousins, was a friend of hers. But she never sure what to make of their conversations. So, Andromeda pushed a smile on her lips, making sure to keep everything pleasant at the very least. A good impression on Alecto would mean a lot to Bella. "Well, if it wasn't for Bella, I don't think I really would have attended. Festivals are a bit... Much," which was an understatement. She hated them. But she couldn't see Bella disappointed nor could she argue with her sister's logic. "Doing well, difficult in the history courses, as normal. Boring at the best of times."

"Ah, hello Andromeda!" The greeting moved out from Alecto towards the woman she had addressed it to. A smile firmly in place that edged on the boundary of a smirk greeted Alecto's conversational target. It was sharp and full of teeth. "How is our lovely Athena doing?" Settling more firmly in her seat and fixing Andromeda with a canny look, Alecto tilted her head. "Shame we never got a better discussion on costumes during the celebration. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised you chose Athena, but I was certainly surprised you didn't make something of it like Bella did. She's always been so terribly clever. How are your classes going, Andy? I'm sure I could use your advice in a few of mine."

As the night grew darker, the festival really began to come alive. The beautiful dancing flames behind the jack-o-lanterns gave a variety of fun shapes that light up the fair grounds. It was divine. The cool temperatures as the sun set continued to enhance the mood.
Company was not needed, but it wouldn't be turned away when it was someone Andromeda tolerated. Alecto barely made it onto the list. Anyone who could be a friend of Bella, much like the friends of Sirius, had to be decent and trustworthy enough.
Andromeda looked Alecto up and down, tilting her head to the side. She found it near impossible that Bella wouldn't have stated her outfit to Alecto nor that the other Slytherin was being obtuse. "Athena," she replied, raising her eyebrow. "Have you not seen Bella already? Perhaps the theme was lost on your, then."
a closed starter for @blackestrose What: The Hogsmede Hallow's Eve Festival
Alecto did so adore Hallow's Eve. It was a unique night, where you could practically taste the magic in the air. Not that magic had a taste, of course. Perhaps some might say it does, like that Borgin boy who's mind always seemed far away, but Alecto could taste apple cider in the air, the smell of candles as they burned in their pumpkins, and the hint of firewhiskey and butterbeer. That one was far stronger as she passed by the Three Broomsticks, but the others hung like velvet in the air. Like Alecto said, it was magic.
The costumes tonight were in exceptional form and Alecto had been enjoying looking at them, though as she passed by one of the Black sisters, she paused, struggling to identify what the other witch was dressed as. "Andromeda, dear," she called out, "what on Earth are you wearing?"

“For now I’m sure I’ll have anything that I need brought over once I move myself in it will do.” He looked over the things testing various devices and finding most things in a good state of repair at least enough not to be immediately replaced. “As you value your privacy I don’t enjoy pressing your nerves enough to discuss my proclivities or those who have trusted me with theirs. I’m sure you’re glad to be finished with this tour, you have performed admirably, at least well enough I won’t feel bad transferring the money over to you. It will be nice to have somewhere more permanent to stay.”
The mention of Leta does not go unnoticed, information she would take for later use, see what connection she might find there. "Then I shall leave what I do want and what you do with that is your decision." It meant less moving and between the manor and townhome, she would not find use for most she had, unless it was something Rabastan wished to bring alone.
Alecto left him in the dungeon to explore. Most of what she wished to keep had already been removed and placed in the new one on their property in Scotland. "Do you think this will suffice for you?" She leaned against the stone wall, arms bridged across her chest. This was the last stop of their tour.

Antonin shook his head. He was sure she was trying to rattle him see the reaction in his face so he kept his emotions blank as much as he could. “Yes I’m quite certain. I don’t have any such elves, and I would rather have a catalog of them than leave things for someone else. I understand you have come to rely on elves as much of the other society purebloods. Even Leta seems to trust them, but I remain to be won over.” It was as generous a compliment as he could give the creatures. Somewhere above muggles in their usefulness he assumed not that he had a servant of either origin. He followed her as they toured the rooms imagining what they would be wondering if he would be better served giving things a personal touch or allowing someone else to do so. The way she was so agreeable at least for her took some of the fun out of trying to catch her up with his words. He was pretty sure she would knock him to the floor again if the word matronly ever crossed his lips so he kept it in reserve which caused the corners of his mouth to turn.
There was a part of her that trusted Antonin, though he annoyed her immensely, he was important to the older Lestrange wizard. She kept moving down the hallway, showing him various other rooms that held within the townhome.
The mention of moving into a home to raise children caught her off guard. He held truth in his words, but still shocking. "I suppose you are right. A new journey for Rabastan and I." If she had to be a wife and a mother, doing it with Rabastan made it easier for her to accept.
"Are you sure about that?" She turns to face him, their journey bringing them down to the dungeon through a secret staircase in the study room behind the bookshelf. "We have house elves that can deal with it."

He took the other glass of champagne and downed that one as well with a smile. "Who did you get to design your dungeon? I was thinking of having one put in myself, or perhaps I'll convince someone to have one installed. I'm between manors." He stayed close mostly undaunted or uncaring it was hard to tell. "Don't worry. I'm just a fool who doesn't know anything too far in my cups and decided to take yours on a whim. I'll save any further comments for Rabastan he's far more receptive to my brand of humor." He wondered if she knew about the safehouse, that the place where she was attacked had burned, or if she cared it wasn’t as if the one who had attacked her had burned with it. Well that could come later. Odd things to think about at a wedding. She sure was commanding, or tried to be. It made sense the more he found out about her and how well she fit with Rabastan. “Besides that congratulations, on the wedding. It would be rude not to offer them.”
When it came to Antonin Dolohov, one was not certain what would come spill from his mouth. His words caught her attention, soon followed by his actions, taken back that he dared to take her glass from her hand and then replace it with another. Had he gone mad? None would dare to be brazen like he was, and she was quite content to remind him of his place. The witch took a step forward to close the distance between them. "I do say Antonin, when small details did you notice?" She challenged him, all expression draining from her features, replaced by one of coldness.
"Let me put this in a way your small brain can understand." A bite to her tone. "What you think you know, I suggest you keep to yourself. If you test me, I promise you, what I showed you weeks ago, I have no qualm using on you." She warned him, reaching out to put the glass he gave her on the table. "Is there anything else you wished to speak to me about?"

“That sounds good. There is a kind of magic to a lived in home I think. He examined various items as they walked through the halls. Thinking she would take anything that truly held a magic to it but he could make due.
“No attachments, that attitude probably serves you well, though I guess not no, you are moving into your marital home to raise your children, so being selective with your attachments is probably more accurate. I appreciate you making time to show me your home. I’m sure there are a number of places that you would rather be.”
“You can leave the things you don’t want and I’ll deal with them. Cleaning the house helps to claim it also I have multiple residences so the less I have to bring in the better.”
"I do not need a break." A sternness to her tone. Alecto may be pregnant, but she was more than capable to move around a home that was once hers. "I am most certain the room you care more about is the one in the basement." That seemed to be the logical reason he would want to buy her townhome.
"I do not care what you do with the home once it is yours, Antonin. It is none of my business. I do understand taking precautions." When it came to the safety of their home in Scotland, there were multiple wards and magic of their family, used to protect it.
"I will put together a list of items I do not wish to take with me and you can decide what to do with it."

“Yes all of them, at least the important ones. We are taking the long tour, unless you find yourself in need of a break? I can show myself around. I should be familiar with the place if I am to own it.” He thought about the implications of her words. “I think what one should know isn’t a thing that can be limited so easily. Knowledge like anything else is a weapon. Do I perhaps take it to extremes, yes. Will I still be mesmerizing the blueprints of this house, walking the grounds before I move myself in fully. Also yes.” He moved past here taking in the various hallways and things among them. He wasn’t sure what Alecto could or would impart. He doubted she would disclose anything unless pressed and likely had nothing pertinent to say so why press her and risk having her try to hex him again.
There were different types of attention that Alecto cared for when having to mingle with those around her. She observed their actions rather than their words. "You do know a lot more than you should." She also believed he would share those that were important to the Dark Lord when he asked for them.
"Those who attacked me?" She raised a brow at him. "You mean Frank Longbottom?" The witch would never forget his face and what he brought to light when she apparated near death on Rabastan's floor that night. "No one saw my face. I don't see why you feel they would show up here." She was not reckless.
Her hues glance down to her belly then back up to Antonin. It felt too soon to think about names for the babies, something that she would consult with her husband about. "No names yet. Something that won't be revealed until their birth." There had to be some surprise when it came to the little ones.
"Did you need to see any other rooms?"
