Leuchtenberg Castle, Kahla, Thüringen Has almost 1000 years history, once a family seat of Messrs, and then went on to be a prison and then an asylum for a while, a hotel with restaurant before serving as a museum inside the Gate House in 1906 and as a lodging house until 1997. I think it's never late to talk about mental health. I could not post it on world's mental health day. I would like to take this opportunity to say few things about mental health, how hiking improves it when done alone and maybe try to pursue to go on for a hike soon. In spite of constant work load I am under, I am glad to have taken a day off last weekend to visit a place that I have visited with all my dear friends almost two years ago. It felt so good to be out in the wilderness. Besides, the bliss and calmness, I find being outdoors alone gives this unexplainable sense of reassurance, additional dose of self-esteem and confidence in the world as it's falling apart little by little. Also, it feels always good to connect with the people on the way. You may not receive the greetings back everytime as everyone is hustling to keep up with the world running so fast. (But don't let this hold you back. My mom always says "what you show is what you receive" and I totally believe in it). Anyways, if and when you slow down and take some time off (be outdoors), every person you come across will be as nice as they can be. Always remember that a simple hello and smile goes long way.
