Six Customer Support Strategies for SMBs That Make a Big Impact
Running a small or medium-sized business (SMB) comes with its own set of challenges, and providing top-notch customer support is undoubtedly one of them. As an SMB owner, you might not have the resources of a corporate giant, but that doesn't mean you can't excel in customer service. In fact, with the right strategies, you can create a customer support experience that rivals even the biggest players in the market. Let's explore six customer support strategies tailored for SMBs that can make a big impact.
Embrace Multichannel Support
In the age of instant communication, customers expect businesses to be reachable through various channels. From social media and email to phone calls and live chat, providing multichannel support is essential for meeting diverse customer preferences. According to a report by Forrester Research, 72% of customers prefer using multiple channels to solve a customer service issue. By offering options, you not only cater to your customers' preferences but also demonstrate your commitment to being accessible and responsive.
Implement Efficient Ticketing Systems
Efficient ticketing systems streamline customer support processes, ensuring that no query slips through the cracks. A study by Gartner found that organizations using a ticketing system for customer support experienced a 15% increase in customer satisfaction. These systems help organize and prioritize customer inquiries, enabling your team to respond promptly and effectively. Choose a user-friendly ticketing platform that aligns with your business needs, making it easier for your team to collaborate and resolve issues efficiently.
Prioritize Customer Education
Empower your customers by providing resources that help them help themselves. A study by HubSpot Research revealed that 69% of customers prefer to use self-service options rather than speaking to a company representative. Create a comprehensive knowledge base, FAQ section, and tutorials that address common customer queries. Not only does this save your team time, but it also empowers your customers to find solutions independently, contributing to a positive overall experience.
Personalize Customer Interactions
Customers appreciate a personal touch, and tailoring your interactions can go a long way in building strong relationships. Research from Accenture found that 91% of consumers are more likely to shop with brands that provide relevant offers and recommendations. Use customer data to personalize your communications and address customers by name. This not only makes customers feel valued but also enhances their overall satisfaction with your brand.
Leverage Customer Feedback
Customer feedback is a goldmine of insights that can help you identify areas for improvement and highlight what you're doing right. According to a survey by Zendesk, 62% of B2B and 42% of B2C customers purchased more after a good customer service experience. Encourage customers to provide feedback through surveys, reviews, and social media. Analyze this feedback to identify patterns, address recurring issues, and refine your customer support processes continuously.
Invest in Employee Training
Your customer support team is on the front lines of your business, and their skills directly impact the customer experience. A report by Aberdeen Group found that companies with a formalized training program for customer service agents achieved a 13.2% year-over-year improvement in customer satisfaction. Invest in ongoing training programs to keep your team updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and effective communication skills. A well-trained team is better equipped to handle customer queries efficiently, leading to higher satisfaction levels.
Providing exceptional customer support is not reserved for large enterprises with massive budgets. Small and medium-sized businesses can implement these six strategies to create a customer support experience that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations. By embracing multichannel support, implementing efficient ticketing systems, prioritizing customer education, personalizing interactions, leveraging customer feedback, and investing in employee training, SMBs can build strong customer relationships and stand out in today's competitive market.

Unveiling a Transformation in Online Ticketing Platforms
In today's ever-evolving digital age, where convenience, security, and transparency are paramount, the integration of blockchain technology into online ticketing platforms has emerged as a revolutionary game-changer. While initially created as the foundational technology for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, blockchain has found applications far beyond the world of digital currencies. One such transformative application is within the domain of online ticketing.
This comprehensive article is designed to shed light on the transformative potential of blockchain in the realm of online ticketing platforms. We will explore how this innovative technology is reshaping the ticketing industry, offering benefits such as fraud prevention, transparent transactions, and enhanced user experiences.
The Current Challenges in Online Ticketing
To better understand the impact of blockchain on online ticketing, we must first comprehend the long-standing challenges faced by this industry:
Ticket Scalping: Scalpers purchase tickets in bulk and resell them at exorbitant prices, leaving genuine fans priced out and frustrated.
Fraudulent Tickets: Counterfeit tickets are a significant problem, leading to dissatisfaction and inconvenience for ticket buyers.
Opaque Transactions: The lack of transparency in ticket sales often results in mistrust between event organizers, ticketing platforms, and consumers.
Blockchain Basics
Before diving into the transformation brought about by blockchain in ticketing platforms, it is essential to grasp the fundamentals of this technology:
What Is Blockchain? Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed ledger that records transactions across multiple computers. These transactions are stored in blocks, linked together in a chain, and secured using cryptographic principles.
Key Blockchain Features:
Decentralization: No central authority controls the blockchain network.
Transparency: All transactions are visible to participants in the network.
Security: Transactions are cryptographically secured, making them tamper-resistant.
Blockchain and Ticketing
Now, let's explore how blockchain is fundamentally changing the landscape of online ticketing platforms:
Eliminating Ticket Scalping: Blockchain's smart contracts enable event organizers to set rules on ticket ownership. Tickets can be resold, but within predefined limits, preventing scalpers from profiting unfairly.
Enhanced Security: Blockchain's immutable ledger ensures that each ticket's origin and ownership can be easily traced, virtually eliminating the risk of counterfeit tickets.
Transparent Transactions: All ticket sales and transfers are recorded on the blockchain, ensuring transparency for both organizers and buyers. This transparency builds trust within the ecosystem.
Reduced Fees: By cutting out intermediaries and automating ticket verification, blockchain can significantly reduce fees associated with ticketing, making events more affordable for fans.

So it turns out I'm not a non-sharing selfshipper in the traditional sense (ie; I'm fine with seeing other people selfship with my f/os, most ships involving my f/os don't bother me and some I even actively ship myself), but I do get upset seeing ships involving my f/os if I feel like the other character is a bad match for them. I don't think that's jealousy I'm feeling so much as it is me feeling protective. Like, logically I know they're fictional and they don't need protection, but I'll see a ship I don't vibe with involving one of my f/os and just feel like "F/O, get behind me, I'll keep this fiend away from you!"
Same with posts that don't feel in-character to me. I just end up going "they don't know you like I know you" and hitting "don't recommend" (but tumblr inevitably shows me more anyway)
#i guess it's good that i only feel like this towards fictional characters because getting jealous towards other selfshippers#sounds like a one way ticket to dramaville and i don't want that#i don't have a dedicated selfship blog because I feel like this one's enough for my occasional posts about it#i'm just not very open about my selfships and generally prefer to just chat with friends about it off-site#i tried being a vocal selfshipper on this platform before and i got like zero attention because i never drew anything lololol

one thing you can always be sure of with the celestial rap line is that those two girls will do all kinds of wild mic hand offs during choreography to make sure the other has the mic in time.
#shitpost.re.okalani#shitpost.re.sol#i swear on my fledgling GRAVE okalani just THROWS that mic sometimes girlie why do their handoffs look AIRBORNE#yes yes i understand that rappers have handheld mics for not only stylistic purposes but it helps hide breath easier and also they're not#DOING crazy dancing when they're rapping (except when oka shakes ass; okay girlie teach us plebians)#but like. why not just. invest in two mics.#IT'S NOT EVEN THAT MANY MICS 😭😭😭😭😭 LITERALLY 2#'too many mcs not enough mics' csl does fit the ticket but also they're the only mcs i'm listening to who are y'ALL giving a platform to#(do love how oka is lowkey a menace when passing the mic but solis puts it gently in her hand. deokhee KNOWS that fool can't see for shit.)#(depth perception who??? lani can barely catch a stationary break what makes you think she can catch flying objects)

be patient.
we say “be patient with people with x disability”. but want to clarify what that means for my sm.
i want you to be patient with selectively mute people. even when you’re tired, even when you’re angry, even when you’re stressed or in a hurry.
i want you to be patient with aac users, even when you’re desperate for an answer, even when you’re carrying a lot of things, even when you’re right behind them and it is just so easy to look over their shoulder at their half-done sentence. (to clarify: do Not do this. too many times people look over the shoulders of aac users, or at their aac, when really we should get to choose what we communicate to you). i want you to instead be patient.
i want you to fucking respect us.
i want you to help me, even if i can’t communicate through speech, even if i can’t look up from the floor.
(example: many times i’ve stood at the front of the line, or at the front desk, which clearly is a sign that i need help with something, but i’ve been unable to communicate that in any other way. and people often wait for me to make eye contact or even look up, and i just can’t. but i still need help. )
i want you to work with me. even if it takes more time. i want not to be lost. i want to find where i’m going. 🌹🌹
#honestly if i need help with something but cant communicate: i *hand people things*. like if am lost at train station#i’ll hand them the ticket. and they just guess that im looking for my platform. thing is#when you hand someone something. they kind of Have to help you. because they have that thing and they cant just leave.#long post#part time aac user#situational mutism#selective mutism#sm tag
