#morningspread in the #afternoon. My attitude today has been terrible. Everything has been making me clench my teeth and want to growl. So I decided to take a study break and do some #scripturewriting. Yesterday I finished my passages in #2Peter and they really resonate with me today. Supplement your....knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness 2 Peter 1:5a&6 Things I need some divine assistance with today. Lord, thank You for another gorgeous day. I ask that You please help me to get over myself enough to see a bigger purpose than my frustrations today. Spilled paint and broken watch bands and constant distractions are not where my focus should be. Help me to rise above and serve You as I should, today and every day. Your will, always. Amen. A small peek at my first month of consistent #scripturewriting. I've been following the January plan on the swtblessings.com website. Can you see how lovely my handwriting is becoming as an extra bonus?? 😃 Each entry is short and able to be done in around 10 minutes. While I did not journal every day I have managed to complete the entire month by doubling up somedays. I'll write out each days verses and then a short (or long) prayer at the end. Some days it is simply gratitude for the Word and how I plan to apply it to my life. Other days it is a plea for a necessary quality. Yet other days it is simply acknowledging the perfection on the daily Word to what is happening in my life. Even though I have only been consistent at this for a month I have already learned so much about myself. My prayers have turned from what I need and want to asking for the strength of faith to simply walk the path He has laid for me. Struggles are easier to bear when I spend consistent and regular time with my Father. A relationship worth God isn't supposed to be complicated but it does take time and intention.
