the bats didn’t kill eddie. vecna, the upside down kept him alive, preserved him until he woke again as something new & inhuman, something right out of his fantasy books. his body has been renewed, stronger & faster than it was with fangs, claws, able to transform into a horrible , winged thing ; it mangles his spine & gnarls his bones. it’s involuntary, a switch vecna’s hidden in a body that’s no longer his own, but a puppet. a spy. plagued by vecna’s voice & thirsting for blood. eddie’s old self still lingers, but he doesn’t trust it.
