Robin ‘Slightly’ Mcginnis was born in the Enchanted Forest to traveling musician parents. They traveled all over the country and rather than having a small child to drag in tow they often left him in the care of relatives; passing him from one family to the next. They would come and visit him, but it would only be for a few short days and they were gone for sometimes a month or more at a time. It was here that the seed of rejection started to take root.

As Robin grew, so did his resentment of his parents. As far as he was concerned he had no family, no one that gave truly gave two shits about him. His only escape was in his music or in his dreams where he would visit a magical world called Neverland. His only friend, a boy he had met in his dreams. The boy’s name was Peter Pan. 

It didn’t really click that Peter wasn’t what he seemed to be, nor the world he figured was just all a figment of his imagination. Robin was just a young kid who found someone who seemed to understand him and wanted to be his friend. Robin hungered for Peter Pan’s friendship. It was extremely painful to wake up again and again thrust back into the real world where he knew he didn’t belong. 

Robin continued to visit Neverland long into his teenage years. The longer he dreamed the more he became discontented with his own world and wanted out. It was not a healthy situation to be sure. And by then, Robin was treated by the townfolks as ‘slightly’ an oddball - a boy who lived in dreams and got into more trouble leading other town boys astray with their shenanigans and mischievous misadventures.

When the time came, Slightly was only too eager to leave this world behind for a better one. It didn’t take long for him to adapt to Neverland being a real place and Peter, the boy he trusted and come to feel a deep devotion towards was not just a hope and a prayer of his own making. It was a dream come true - he supposed he had always known deep down that he would end up there. Maybe he was dead and this was heaven - either way, he didn’t care. He was where he wanted to be and that was heaven enough for him.

BIOGRAPHY

Being able to see the future is an ability many naïve souls wish for. The capability to see every possibility, to be able to plan for any outcome, it could be considered an invaluable gift. This is how it was constantly painted for Adriel Alvaraz, ever since she began to have flashes of the future at 7 years old. As her visions were proven correct time and time again, people came to practically worship the young girl, to see her as some sort of divine creature, incapable of fault. However, seeing the future is not nearly as gratifying as her elders had led her to believe. With the good came the bad; with visions of one person gaining the job of their dreams came visions of another slipping into poverty, visions of a desperate couple finally getting pregnant would come hand in hand with visions of family members passing away.

This ‘gift’ caused Adriel to see the world as it truly was - uncaring and apathetic to those that inhabited it. Whilst this may have caused others to spiral into despair, Adriel found it oddly comforting. In some strange way it brought her comfort to know that she and the choices that were made were inconsequential; that the universe would continue on and re-balance itself in time. This acceptance manifested itself as a level of passivity within the young Witch which did not go unnoticed to those around her - However, they believed this sudden resignation had come from the loss of her physical sight.

With her revered abilities, Adriel became the youngest Maiden ever instated into the Coven. At only 9 years old, Adriel was moved to her advanced training under the watchful eye of the previous Maiden, Hallie Carter – Now the Coven’s Mother. Every week she would be expected to show progress way above the usual level predicted for her age. This show would take place in front of The Crone, an elder woman whose teachings lacked the warmth of her successor. Time after time, little Adriel was left in tears by the cold dismissal of her superior. It was not until she was 12 years old, after 3 years of gruelling training, that Adriel made her official debut as the Coven’s Maiden.

PRESENT

Adriel is unsure what it is, but she feels like something is lacking within her life, as if she was destined for something more. Despite being on track to gaining the highest position a Witch could wish for, she didn’t feel completely fulfilled. She felt longing but for something she could not name. Now, at 24 years old, Adriel has spent more time working within the Coven than out of it. Her renowned within her position has allowed Adriel many luxuries her family would not have otherwise been able to afford. After paying off her mother’s mortgage and moving into an apartment of her own, Adriel rarely sees the rest of the Alvarez family. Despite not attending the weekly family dinners in almost a year due to work, Adriel’s mother still invites her each time without fail.

Joshua Alvarez: Twin brother – Adriel holds an abundance of love for her brother but her conflicting feelings towards him make it almost impossible to show. Part of her is envious of Joshua, he is so carefree in a way Adriel could never afford to be, got to have the childhood that was promised to the both of them, but she was ripped away from. Despite knowing that Josh was not at fault for any of this, Adriel cannot stop the ache within her heart whenever they cross paths and she sees him enjoying the normal life that she feels she is owed.

Jenny Hart: Foster sister/Former roommate – Adriel feels a tremendous amount of guilt when it comes to Jenny. Whilst the two had never had the time to bond like Jenny and Josh had, Adriel still cares for the other girl and considers her family. When Adriel was 17 years old and just before Jenny had joined the Alvarez family; Adriel awoke with a start from a dreadful nightmare. Most of it had been fuzzy due to her unconscious nature, however, she remembered blood, the unmoving bodies of two figures and – most clearly – the grief-stricken face of Jennifer Hart. Knowing that it was futile to attempt to fight against what the universe had planned, Adriel kept what she had seen to herself.

Hallie Carter: Coven Mother/Superior – As she was growing within the Coven, Adriel’s successes and failures were always weighed up against the Maiden’s before her – Hallie. Whilst Adriel still respects Hallie as her superior, it was hard being compared at such a young age. This has caused a small, one-sided rivalry to blossom for the current Maidan.

Salome Napoliello: Coven Crone/Superior – Adriel’s relationship with her Crone is a complicated one. On the one hand, Adriel holds contempt for Salome for not allowing her to have a normal life like her bother. Contradictorily, Adriel also looks up to the older woman, and will defend her against any slander. This makes for an interesting atmosphere and many heated debates when the two are together.

Speciality: Precognition - Adriel is able to see visions of the future. However, using this ability has caused her eyesight to steadily deteriorate, resulting in Adriel now being completely blind.

can I convince you to pop duality a tier higher solely because the mega Satan mark is never guaranteed without a few items, duality being one of them

view it less as "you can take both deals now" and more as "the game won't RNG screw you over" which has happened to me many times

Im gonna be honest, so far I haven't really had any issues with getting to Mega Satan yet. Either through the regular angel keys or sacrifice rooms or sharp key or a soul of cane or a cracked orb or a dad's key or a mr me, there's a lot of different ways to get into mega satan. Plus with the added mechanic of a guaranteed angel room if you skip the first devil deal, duality (to me at least) just feels like a safety measure that I don't need to take. That being said, there are some characters I have not done mega satan on yet (tlost, tjacob, jacob and esau, tlaz) that may change this in the future. Thank you for the ask! I'll definitely think on this because that was an angle I never fully considered when first ranking it.

Bridget was seven when she left her father. Peter had been quite convincing, telling her that she could do as she liked, not worry about chores, and could even choose her own bedtime. It didn’t take much to convince Bridget to, as her father was quite a brute; James Hook never lay a hand to harm her, but she saw him bludgeon many a child from the island. After her mother was taken from her, she didn’t feel safe anymore, and took up residence on the island with Peter. She loved life as a lost boy, but when she wasn’t able to find the elixir of youth, Peter banished her, saying that if she didn’t have it by the end of the day, that she wouldn’t be welcomed back. She went off into the woods to find it, and try to prove that she was still one of them. To her joy, she discovered it before the night came, drank it, and returned to tell Peter the good news. However, Birdie flew into a rock slide by accident, and was knocked unconscious. She awoke in the dark, unsure of who or where she was; the only thing she recalled was a name, Birdie. For the last ten years, she survived on her own. What will happen when she discovers there is a whole other side of the island, filled with people from her past?

BIOGRAPHY

Joshua Alvarez could be the poster boy for “boy next door”. The eldest of a large family, Josh can either be found helping his younger siblings with their homework, cooking immense meals for them and their exhausted mother, or working what extra hours are going at the garage. Josh is quick to offer a hand in any situation, always willing to put his own wants and needs second to those around him. His constant smile and giving nature hides any hint of his own lonely upbringing. 

Josh was born from the forbidden love of an Angel and a Witch. Josh’s Angel parent, Zadkiel, was a warrior who had been sent down from Heaven to keep watch over humankind in preparation of a new Demon attack. Waiting to be called back home, Zadkiel took to wandering the planet that their Lord had commanded them to protect. During these travels, Zadkiel came across a small town with fascinating occupants. In Heaven, Supernaturals were only spoken of in hushed tones, in conversations either masked in shame or disgust. Zadkiel, against their better judgement, found themselves intrigued - their fellow Angels spoke of these creatures as hateful but, instead, Zadkiel found creation and innovation. During their time in the town, Zadkiel came across a youthful Witch by the name of Yoselin. If the town had sparked a sense of intrigue in Zadkiel then Yoselin was a naked flame. She radiated such warmth and compassion, Zadkiel fell in love - an emotion they didn’t know they were capable of -  without a second thought. 

Weeks became months, and months became years. With no signal from above to return, Zadkiel allowed themselves to fall into a domestic life with their love. Soon enough, Yoselin became pregnant, and Zadkiel was completely prepared to never return home and, instead, stay on Earth raising their children. Sadly, those plans were dashed when Yoselin was 5 months pregnant, as Zadkiel was recalled from duty and told to return to Heaven. Fearing what would become of their children, the offspring of such taboo, Zadkiel bid farewell to his love and fled back to Heaven. With that, Yoselin was left alone, the babies growing inside her the only reminder of the love she had once had.

PRESENT

Since the birth of her two only biological children, Yoselin realised that being a mother suited her. With this in mind, she began to foster and adopt any children in the town who needed a home. This led to Josh becoming the eldest to a hoard of siblings, all of whom he doted on. Like his mother, becoming a caretaker suited Josh, and he was more than happy to share whatever little he had and aid his younger siblings in any way they needed. 

Now, at 24 years old, Josh still lives at home to help his mother with affording to pay bills and care for the younger children. Outside of work, Josh no longer has much of a social life like he did as a teen. The once popular jock now spends whatever free time he has with his family or requesting extra hours at the garage and he is happy - mostly. He has become used to only being approached to be asked about his sister - the new Maiden of the Coven - and otherwise blending into the background. 

With the departure of his angelic parent, Josh finds it difficult to discuss his heritage with others and has only disclosed his winged birthright to a small selection of people. Josh believes that Zadkiel left himself and their family too easily and feels bitterness towards being abandoned. Due to this, Josh has a rocky relationship with God and religion.

Adriel Alvarez: Twin sister - Josh’s and Addy’s relationship has always been laboured. Despite coming into the world together, the twins were rarely together since their toddler years. As Adriel began to lose her sight, their mother began to coddle her youngest child, accidentally letting Josh slip through the cracks, leaving him to spend most of his childhood alone. After Adriel became the appointed Maiden of their Coven, she has become a sort of untouchable being that seems just out of reach for her brother. The twins now rarely get to spend time together and Josh has become used to mainly being spoken to so that others can inquire about his idyllic sister. Despite their tumultuous relationship, Josh holds no bitterness towards his sister and is proud of the person she has become. However, he finds it difficult not to crave simpler times. 

Jenny Hart: Foster sister/Close friend - Being a part of the football team, becoming friends with Jenny Hart, the popular cheerleader, was almost expected. However, how it happened was not. During their initial school years, the two were more passing acquaintances; attending the same parties and hanging around with the same groups of people. After the untimely death of Jenny’s parents, Josh felt compelled to try and ease her burdens in any way possible. He mentioned the fact that Jenny was going into care to his mother, a family-orientated woman who had fostered and adopted many children since having her two biological children, knowing that she would be unable to sit back and not do something to help. Thus, Jenny came to live with the Alvarez family. At first, things were difficult, as Jenny was intent on self-destruction in the mourning of her parents. Nevertheless, Josh was consistent in his attempts to get through to her: inviting her to the parties they used to frequent, asking her to spend time with his close friends, refusing to start family events until she was present. Eventually Jenny began to open up and allow him in, causing the two of them to forge a deep connection that lasted even after Jenny moved out of the Alvarez house. Josh would never admit it, but he sees himself as closer to his foster sister than his biological sister. Yet, lately, Josh has noticed Jenny retreating back into herself once again - she seems more withdrawn and has become secretive. Josh is concerned but also knows better than to push.

Xander Campbell: Best friend - Joshua and Xander became friends at the age of 12 when Josh stood up for the other boy against school bullies. After that, the two became inseparable and saw each other more as brothers than friends, to the point where people would think there was something wrong if they saw one without the other. Josh was the first person that Xander came out to, with Josh yanking him into an almost bone-crushing hug as soon as the Werewolf began to cry during his admission. Xander also became an honorary member of the Alvarez family due to his own turbulent home life, sleeping on Josh’s floor more often than his own bed. When Xander left Brookhaven, Josh was torn. Obviously he understood that their hometown was not a healthy environment for his friend and he wanted the best for him. However, due to the unresolved issues he has related to Zadkiel leaving, Josh also harboured a feeling of abandonment. Xander’s letters to Josh detailing his adventures “out in the real world”, helped quell these feelings somewhat but it wasn’t long until Xander’s letters became less and less frequent - resulting in Josh feeling alone once more. 

Sterling Price: Past classmate/Best friend’s ex-boyfriend - Josh was friendly towards Sterling in the same way he was towards everyone. This quickly increased upon finding out that Sterling was dating his best friend, with Josh being happy with anyone that made Xander happy. However, this only lasted for around a year before Josh started to notice that something was off. Xander no longer seemed happy, he seemed wary around his boyfriend, and sometimes even held a look that Josh had only seen on him when he was forced to be around his father. After Xander left Brookhaven, Sterling came to Josh demanding answers as the two of them were supposed to left together, except Xander had suddenly packed up and left without a word. Since Xander’s departure, things between Josh and Sterling have been strained as Sterling believes that Josh knows more than he is letting on and Josh believes Sterling may be one of the reasons his best friend left so much sooner than he had initially planned. 

MISC

Speciality: Flight - through the use of Angelic wings that are produced from his back. However, using this ability causes Josh immense pain and results in him needing to rest for days at a time.

I just asked the same thing on my art blog but.... Dose anyone have any good free animation programs and things? Like good ones for beginners that's easy to use and you can add music to it.... I technically want like, to do those flip animations with a cartoonist desk, but I'm not sure how to really do that...
