This post will contain spoilers about The Last of Us 01x07, Left Behind.

So I knew when I met Riley that I was going to adore her. I also knew what was about to unfold. Because I’m stupid enough to keep picking a character and loving them. And they all die when I do that.

Storm Reid and Bella Ramsey broke my heart, but damn they were amazing. Also...RILEY IS GIA FUCKING BENNETT FROM EUPHORIA.

This entire episode was so well done. I don’t even know where to begin.

Ellie sharing her feelings while being so afraid that she would be rejected...I know this episode resonated deeply with those in the LGBTQ community.

THEY WERE SO HAPPY AND I JUST....

I fucking knew it was going to end with Ellie getting bitten, but Riley, too? Jesus.

The anger and rage was so heartwrenching to witness, especially knowing that Ellie survived and Riley...presumably did not (I haven’t played the game, so I don’t know anything for sure).

The last ten minutes had me full on sobbing like a bitch baby. I have admittedly teared up watching this show. But the last time I actually cried was when Sarah died. I cried about Frank and Bill, too. I cried even harder at this.

This hits so hard, especially now that I think back to Ellie telling Joel she’s lost people, too. And her outburst about everyone she’s ever cared about either leaving her or dying in the last episode is so much more brutal now.

God, she is probably racked with survivor’s guilt.

Poor Ellie.

I don’t even want to think about what happens after this. If she has to kill Riley after she turns I don’t know if I can survive that. Watching Sam’s brother kill him before turning the gun on himself was enough. I can’t handle Ellie having to kill Riley.
