I have this fever dream of the tlou3 protagonist meeting 30yo Ellie, all alone somewhere out west, and when they decide to travel together and they see Ellie masterfully tracking game and building trap mines and silently taking down infected they ask her:

‘Who the hell taught you all this shit?’

And she replies softly, proudly,

‘My dad’

Sometimes I think about when TLoU3 finally comes out, first how utterly pathetic it will be when I’m heartbroken over fictional characters, but also how all my canon works will be changed by new information.

I have a lot of theories for part 3. I expect a 10 year time jump for part 3. Ellie may have found some peace and place in Jackson as a leader, something to fight for that isn’t sacrificing herself. JJ will also be old enough for some dangerous adventuring.

Like maybe the farmhouse scene is already after Ellie’s met with Fireflies or whatever the quest may be in part 3. She looks older in the Farmhouse final scene, maybe 25ish? Definitely more weathered 🥵

Also Dina is wearing an earring in her journal. How unusual since we didn’t see her wearing anything but the hamsa bracelet before. A make-up gift (like Tommy’s necklace)? Or a marriage bond?

And then maybe one of those prisoners Ellie let out survived and knows she was bitten. She did get pretty careless about bites, no masks…and remember the flash back where Joel warned her to be careful about people seeing that.

And Abby…it would be a bit predictable if she was also immune, but she was bit by Ellie in the same place (symbolic, not time of infection). I think about the line of Abby telling her dad she would want to be used for the cure if she was The Chosen One. It would be poetic in a way. Abby sacrificing herself 😪 instead of Ellie to fulfill her dad’s quest for a cure. And it would also piss tons of players off since they want Abby to die, but in a very specific way (sound familiar…Abby, Abby, Abby. These infected better not have killed you…because I want to be the one to do it!)

Just morning rambling. Might write a one shot about the earrings for marriage. But, I really need to finished the next chapter of Story 1 first. So, I will put that thought in my queue along with HVAC Ellie 😆

If you had to kill off either Ellie or Abby in TLOU3, who would you pick?

For the record, I can't abide the deaths of Ellie, Abby, or any of the few remaining main characters. I'm going to say something controversial yet brave... I would kill off Ellie.

I think Abby has a lot more character development to be had and I would much rather see that than an Ellie redemption arc. I CANNOT see Lev go through one more trauma.

This is outright cruel and now that tlou3 is pretty much officially possible and confirmed I really hope that the harassing won't start all over again towards it's release it's literally just a game with PIXELS and they're just acting the part god get a grip people

TLOU 3 is happening 🎉. From my understanding there is not much info about anything regarding it, but we got confirmation that it will still be about Ellie.

TLOU 2 basically established Ellie and Abby as the main characters, so I wonder will we see Abby as well?

Also, what would be the storyline of TLOU 3. I doubt they will continue with the revenge storyline, if the finale of TLOU 2 was any indication.

Will it be finding the fireflies?

I guess it’s a safe bet that that’s where Abby went (considering that’s where she was heading before getting captured). What if it turns out they are still searching for a vaccine and they actually have someone capable of making one.

Could this be how Ellies story ends, after everything, she gets to the fireflies and dies for the vaccine?

Still not sure they can make one tho or at least make one the way they implied in the game with having to kill her etc etc.

Idk , I just hope we get Ellie and Abby as mains again (probably not, but still 😆).

please god let tlou3 be “ellie realizes her life has value beyond her immunity.” and yeah, it’s going to be fucking difficult, but she’s already taken the first step to recovery. she let abby go. i want to watch her stumble and claw and fight her way back to herself. i want to see her become an incredible leader, a wise mentor, a loving, adoring parent. i want to see her tackle new dangers and challenges alongside her community. i want her to find meaning. i want her to be the person she deserves to be. i want her to feel true joy. to seek and achieve closure for everything that’s happened. i want ellie to just…be. as much as one can in the world of tlou.

Suddenly thought it would be amazing for TLOU3 to start just like TLOU2 with Ellie waking up, the player close up to her face, mirroring the scene almost exactly. Except this time she’s older, 30ish, and it’s JJ who is knocking on the door (a nod to Jesse waking her). She sits up in bed next to Dina who is still sleeping. And they are clearly in what had been Joel’s house. Would show comfort in still being near the memory of him, while creating their own family space.

Maybe she’d walk downstairs and get out the owl mug to make some tea or coffee. She’s come to tolerate it (ok, maybe she’d secretly begun to enjoy the warmth and bitter bite and the ritual of preparing it) and occasionally invests in a bag of beans when a trader has it. She’d stand at the dining room window and look out over to the cemetery and just have a silent moment of peace with him. Before JJ comes in and starts clamoring for breakfast. Ellie needs to eat and get ready too, she’s now a leader in the community and work starts early.
