I do think it’s pretty gross that so many people will see poor people managing their dog(s) to the best ability that they can while living in poverty and be like “imma ban that bc uwu animal cruelty”.

#dogblr #poverty #ah America.#anyways this is about dogs on tie outs #a very secure and relatively cheap option to safely contain strong dogs #fences are expensive #shelter is expensive #outright banning dogs outside or on tie out will hurt people and dogs #instead your governments both local and federal should be helping people #to 1.) get paid a fair amount and be able to afford adequate dog care #but I don’t see how providing low cost or free shelter is a bad thing #nor is low cost spay neuter clinics #nor is any low cost vet care #so many people want to do better by their dogs #and it’s difficult af #of course letting poverty get to this point #where dogs are only able to be afforded a tie out and no adequate anything else #is a problem of our society failing PEOPLE #and dog peoples lack of empathy over this constantly astounds me #of course when people are living bare bones others are able to get away with the same lack of care #even if they could afford better care #so maybe start by uplifting people at the bottom #instead of banning one of the few ways they can afford to not let their dog roam
