mass effect 1 kinda has fallout 3 vibes. endless identical (or borderline identical) locations? plot surrounds chasing a guy? kinda xenophobic warrior woman (ashley williams, sarah lyons) met early in the game becomes close friend, who you can choose to sacrifice toward the end? secret, technologically superior enemy (reapers, enclave) are waiting just out of sight to destroy the world as the main characters know it, and only they can stop them for some reason? sidequests are more fun than the main quest by far? 2008 really produced 2 fantastically mid games with extremely yummy lore and idk how i only just noticed they're weirdly similar.
