okay the beginning is MUCH harder than i was remembering. my feeling that the clunkyass snes smt1 still was a breeze compared to "nes-level-of-shit" mt1 ended up being right

differences to smt1 - they start with nothing equipped, no money and no skills for yumiko - demons are unfriendly. reactions from negotiations are awfully less consistent, pretty much down to luck - humans aren't resistant to light basically, go very slow or get fucked

the thing that definitely is a relief here is that the encounter rate isn't nearly as insane as in smt1. even if negotiations there are much easier, enemies in smt1 often respawned 3 times in a single encounter (and the whole process could restart in just a single another step)

10 different realities, 10 generations

The main focus of this legacy challenge is to complete 10 generations of 10 different lifestyles. This is a little challenge I wanted to make for myself or my friends so It may have features/traits that other ppl might not. If so, those can be swapped out for similar things.

This challenge is unique in the fact that with each generation your heir will move on to pick between 2 different playstyles for the next generation based on how you raised your heir. (At least I think that's pretty unique.. cri).

if you have LMS roommates you may move in people to the trailer park to help pay rent

okay anon just know i would die kill etc for u but YES i do have a dedicated sims blog but it’s not very active! i used to have a sort of idle gameplay but i haven’t queued up any content in a while so it’s a little bit barren but in like? a fun way ig anyway i’m gonna talk about my sims family

this is their family tree n they are the anguiano family founded by averie anguiano in december of 2016 which is sort of shortly after i got the game as a birthday present so i’ve been playing w/ them for about two and a half years on and off as u do w/ sims

so if u don’t know what a legacy challenge is you basically buy a massive plot of land (and in the sims 4 u either cheat ur money down or buy an expensive decoration) that leaves u with about 1300 sim moneys which if u know anything about the sims it is not a lot of money so averie’s first house?

(if you’re like wow a bed AND a toilet what LUXURY feel bad for my old sims 3 legacies where they had three pieces of wall, a single bed, and a burglar alarm because i was too afraid of their wall getting burgled)

After the fifth time he broke it the last month, you decided to take the maintenance expenses from his salary

But that didn’t really do anything

About a week ago, you spent an hour putting up ornaments on the ceiling by the window

Daniel comes in for his shift and he’s always easily amazed by things and he touches the ornaments hanging down

You shout in surprise “WAIT! THE STRINGS ARE REALLY-”

Then the strings holding up the ornaments snap and they end up on the floor as shattered glass pieces

So much for that hour

He always says he’ll be more careful, but it’s always the same

You can’t really hate him tho bc he’s always so nice to you in general

Anyway

You thought Daniel would fail in working

But you found out that he actually work really hard and manages to have a smile on his face whenever taking orders, serving ppl, and just everywhere/everything he does

You sorta kinda TOTALLY fell in love w/him and his personality

Even when his shift ends, he stays an extra two or three hours just helping you out bc he’s supposed to leave right before rush time

And he doesn’t want you and Seongwoo to be suffering from the impatient customers

So he stays extra but he ends up staying until closing time and helps you clean and close up the store

Then he walks you home

You always tell him to go home since it was always almost midnight and his shift starts at 6am

But he stays stubborn and insists he walks you home since it’s dangerous

And when you get home, he smiles his gummy smile, his eyes disappearing

Like girl how are you NOT head over heels for him yet

And you also noticed he stays in front of your house until some of your lights go on, knowing you’re safe inside

I can’t he’s so sweet

He actually tries to walk you to the shop in the morning, but he just can’t wake up no matter how hard he tries lol

So he always beats himself up about his sleeping habits, but it’s all good

You wouldn’t want him to be falling asleep while handling hot coffee anyway

The day your small crush on him just shoots upwards is the day when your ex comes into the shop

You were at the register bc Daniel was packing up his stuff to get ready to go home (even if he was gonna stay till closing) and Seongwoo was running late as usual

Then in comes Minhyuk your ex-bf who cheated on you a few months back

You felt like you couldn’t function bc you realized Minhyuk was sort of a creep

thank goodness you found out about his true self b4 it went too far

He came at the time when there were no customers 

and wow lucky you

No one else to be taking the register either

“Hey, Y/N…..What’s up?”

He does a sly grin and you feel like throwing up

Minhyuk notices it’s just you and him in the shop, so he uses that to his advantage

When Daniel hears “Get away from me!” from the employee room

He drops down his backpack and rushes out to see a guy, on the “employees only” side, seeming to harass you

And oh hoho

He ain’t having none of that

Daniel roughly pushes Minhyuk away from you and throws a punch at his jaw

You run up behind Daniel and pull him away b4 he gets too agitated bc Seongwoo once told you how Daniel shouldn’t be messed with and when he gets mad….HE GETS MAAAADDD

Daniel immediately calms down and turns around to ask if you’re okay while grabbing your shoulders, looking at your arms and face

You assure him like ten times that you’re okay and he turns back to Minhyuk and gives him the scariest glare that gives you chills

Daniel’s voice goes like twenty octaves deeper when telling him to get lost and never show up in front of you again

After that incident, you never saw Minhyuk again and you cannot stop staring how angelic Daniel is

So charismatic *squeals*

He likes you too, if you didn’t notice, and he accidentally confesses to you while cooing at some mistake you did

“OMG Y/N. This is why I love you so much!”

“....”

“....did I say that outloud?”

You start dating and it’s so cute

During your short breaks, Daniel whips up a latte and draws all these cute hearts on it since he’s really good at latte art AND making lattes

Daniel doesn’t even pack up anymore and works for the whole entire day

Getting more love AND more money

But now Seongwoo doesn’t do those types of pranks bc Daniel lowkey highkey gets jealous

I love the smell of coffee

When he wraps you in a bear hug b4 sending you in your home, a whiff of coffee hits you

scarlett was born in petaluma on january 16, 1986 to wendolyn and reynold doherty.  she’ll be 32 in just a couple of weeks.

growing up, she had always felt the pressure to be the perfect, proper girl her mother always wanted her to be

wendolyn is very vain and very selfish, much like how scarlett is now

even when scarlett was a child, her mother dictated what she ate and how she dressed

has never been close with her mother

and while her mother wants to reconcile, scarlett, stubborn in nature, will not budge and will not see or talk to her

while her parents are still married, her father used to cheat on her mother with multiple women when scarlett was a child

when her mother first found out, she sent at the time, ten year old scarlett away to live with an old filipino couple in oakland, california, with whom she stayed with until the age of 17

her mother blamed scarlett for the affairs, claiming that if she looked the same as she did before she gave birth to scarlett then this never would have happened

scarlett has never been called beautiful by her mother

when she was at a gas station, she bumped into one of the tourist magnet stands and one magnet fell, and that magnet was of portland, oregon

two days after that, at just 18 1/2 years old, she packed her bags up and never looked back

PERSONALITY

much like her mother, scarlett can be very vain and very selfish

does not have the maternal instinct that she’s heard she’s supposed to have

she also fiercely independent, and doesn’t depend on anyone to provide for her

through all this, she’s extremely loyal when she’s made a friendship connection with someone

which is how she uses her business

scarlett also has a very good memory; it helps with remembering client names and tidbits about them

she’s no bullshit at all (which is also how she runs her business. if something doesn’t look good on a client, she would be straight up honest and tell them)

along with this, she’s also no filter and will say what’s on her mind 

being a personal shopper, she has a great sense of style and she knows all the sales and trends happening now and for specific ages

she’s closed off when it comes to her past, not seeing it as relevant to her life now since she had left it behind her 13 years ago

he was perfect, basically. did everything a good boyfriend was supposed to do. and scarlett acted like how she believed a good girlfriend was supposed to. but nothing seemed right.

this guy asked for scarlett’s hand in marriage two years into their relationship, believing he was in love and impulsively, she said yes

then regretting that decision just days later

she believed if she continued to keep up with the engagement, got into the wedding groove, her attitude and feelings toward him would change

a year into their engagement, they got into a huge argument and he asked scarlett if she was in love with him

she took too long to respond

three days later she gave back the ring

CAREER

scarlett didn’t go to college because she didn’t have the money for it

also because she just didn’t want to go

back in california, she worked in small boutiques as a personal stylist 

she brought those skills to oakland and started her own personal shopping business

it took her a couple years to get it up and going so she was making a living on just that

now she’s been doing this for thirteen years, and as much as she complains about annoying clients, she couldn’t see herself doing anything else

she’s great at her job, and she knows it.
