every once in a while im like. hm. maybe i SHOULD actually attempt to Style My Hair instead of my usual tried and true method (brush it and hope for the best, rawdogging through life without a single hair product in there except the dry shampoo that allows me to hide my greasiness from the world). so im like okay i'll attempt a Hair Product and see how it goes. and much like every other single time ive tried it my hair immediately loathes the product and looks 10000x worse so in the end i just give up and go back to my messy bedhead ways. this is why i cant be trusted with long hair, i would be letting that shit figure itself out every single day of my life.

#liveblogging life #my hair is fine & annoying it shapes so easily but its a curse bc it means #that any time i try to give it any kind of texture it takes it TOO well and my hair ends up being a crumpled weird mess #also every single like. texture thing ive ever tried has been too heavy???? even when i apply really lightly????#hairspray is a Bad Texture feeling to me so i never use it #ive tried mousse and texturizing sprays and honestly it's just more effort than its worth #also have never once been able to style an updo on my own lmao #like the best i can do is a semi-tidy ponytail and even that's iffy #i can braid my own hair but it's like the super duper simple braids that just look utilitarian bc THEY ARE to me just a way to keep my hair #out of my face - which has always been the end goal for all of my hair tidying endeavours #saying this bc i got a hair cut yesterday and remembered i wanted to buy a new round brush #bc no joke ive had the one i currently have for at least seven years #and it's honestly. very gross. bc i dont clean it.#and i literally only use it when i blow dry my hair which is maybe. twice a month??? usually only when i want my hair #to look somewhat respectable. which is only achieved immediately after a shower + blow dry and only lasts #for about a couple of hours tops #anyway this is a long way to say i probably shouldnt be trying to grow my hair out again bc god knows what i'll do with it
