Saw a Twitter thread about this and it made me curious
#for me personally I can smell them when they're squished#as a kid I could smell them even when they were alive ESPECIALLY when there was an ant infestation#but I haven't lived anywhere lately that's had an infestation so I'm just sticking to the first option#people always thought I was joking when I said I hated the smell of ants 💀#to me it was always a gross ass combination of sweet and bitter. beey potent kind of smell
