The auditorium was buzzing with excitement, filled with parents, friends, and teachers, all eagerly awaiting the start of Alice in Wonderland. The lights were dimmed, the stage was set with elaborate props, and backstage, you were practically vibrating with excitement. It was your birthday, and you had one of the lead roles in the play. For someone who loved the spotlight as much as you did, it felt like a double win.

You'd always thrived under pressure. The costumes, the lights, the energy of the audience—it was all intoxicating. Dressed in a colorful, intricate costume that had taken weeks to put together, you gave your reflection a final glance before stepping on stage. Your makeup was flawless, and the crown on your head glistened under the backstage lights.

"It’s your day, Rockstar," you muttered to yourself, psyched up.

Charlie had sent you a thumbs-up from the wings, while Tori gave one of her rare, supportive nods. Everything was perfect.

The show started smoothly. You nailed every line, every cue, until the middle of the second act. That's when it happened.

Right in the middle of one of your biggest scenes, your mind went blank. Suddenly, the lines that had been second nature to you vanished, replaced with a sinking, heavy feeling in your chest. Your heartbeat thudded in your ears, louder than the applause that had come before. You froze.

You could feel the silence from the audience growing longer. Someone tried to improvise, but your costume—designed to be grand and elaborate—caught on one of the set pieces as you tried to move. With a loud rriiiip, the fabric tore.

It felt like the world stopped. The sound echoed in your ears, and the gasps from the audience only made it worse. You stood there, frozen in the spotlight, unable to move or think, your costume half-shredded and your mind a blank canvas.

Backstage, Charlie and Tori watched in horror. Without missing a beat, Charlie slipped through the side curtain and rushed toward you. Tori was right behind him, cool and composed, but you could see the concern in her eyes.

“Hey, it’s okay,” Charlie whispered as he gently guided you off-stage, trying not to make a scene in front of the audience. “It’s okay. You’re fine.”

You were trembling, overwhelmed by a mixture of embarrassment, frustration, and disappointment. This was supposed to be your night—your birthday, your moment in the spotlight—and now it felt like everything was falling apart.

Tori knelt beside you, resting a hand on your shoulder. "Everyone makes mistakes," she said softly, her voice unusually gentle. "The important thing is how you handle it after."

Tears welled up in your eyes, but you blinked them back, trying to keep it together. You’d never felt like this before—so vulnerable, so exposed.

Charlie gave you a soft, encouraging smile. “We’re going to fix your costume, okay? And when you’re ready, you can go back out there. You’ve got this.”

You wanted to believe him, but the weight of the moment still pressed down on you. The play felt like it was slipping away, and your birthday... well, that didn’t feel much like a celebration anymore.

But Tori, being Tori, wasn’t having it. “You’re not letting this ruin your day,” she said firmly. “It’s still your birthday. You’ve worked too hard to let this stop you.”

She handed you a tissue, and Charlie gave you a side hug, his warmth comforting. “We’re here, alright? We’ll help you through it.”

Their confidence in you was the boost you needed. With their help, you managed to get the costume patched up enough to return to the stage. Your heart was still racing, but knowing Charlie and Tori were right there, supporting you, made it a little easier.

The rest of the play wasn’t flawless, but you made it through, and by the time the final bows came around, the audience was cheering just as loudly as they had in the beginning.

Backstage after the curtain closed, Charlie wrapped an arm around your shoulders and grinned. “See? You’re a rockstar.”

“And it’s still your birthday,” Tori added, pulling out a small cupcake with a single candle from her bag. “You made it through, and we’re proud of you.”

Despite everything, you couldn’t help but smile. Maybe the night hadn’t gone perfectly, but with Charlie and Tori by your side, it still felt like a win.

Goth But Loud: Charlie is used to their younger sibling’s loud music and even jams out to a few of their emo playlists from time to time. Tori, however, is constantly threatening to throw their speakers out the window if they don’t turn down the volume. Despite the noise complaints, both siblings secretly find their goth aesthetic kind of cool—even if it clashes with their loud personality.

Lazy Stoner Vibes: Tori is the first to call them out on their laziness. “Do you ever do anything?” she’ll ask, watching them sprawled out on the couch. They’ll lazily lift a hand, point to their phone, and say, “I’m mentally preparing for my next role.” Charlie just laughs, shaking his head as he watches the back-and-forth, knowing his sibling will never change.

The Scapegoat Sibling: Anytime something goes wrong at home, Tori is usually the first to assume it was them. “Who ate my chips?” she’ll ask, already glaring in their direction. Charlie, on the other hand, tries to be more fair, though he often gets pulled into the chaos when they inevitably put on an exaggerated performance, defending themselves. “It wasn’t me, I swear! High-Key Loud: Charlie is used to the noise. He grew up with them constantly talking, singing, or performing in the background. Tori, on the other hand, has a much lower tolerance for the chaos. “Do you have to be this loud?” she’ll ask during a quiet moment, and they’ll respond by speaking even louder, dramatically declaring, “Silence is a prison, Tori!”

Gothic Aesthetic Meets Theater: They always try to convince Charlie and Tori to help them with costumes for their shows. Charlie has been roped into helping with makeup or costume ideas more than once, while Tori usually watches with amusement from a distance, arms crossed, occasionally offering sarcastic suggestions like, “Why don’t you add more chains? But even Tori can’t help but crack a smile when their sibling’s antics get especially absurd.

hello rileyyy my dear,could I ask for an imagine where genderfluid theater spring sibling have a show on their birthday,maybe alice in wonderland (just something that takes a lot of effort in equipment and costume) and they have one of the main roles and are like really excited cause its their birthday too,which is their fav cause all the attention is on them and that along with a show that day seems like a win win. But then in the middle of the play they mess up like REALLY mess up,maybe they have stage fright or a blackout for the first time or/and get their costume ripped on accident. So Charlie and Tori have to comfort them and try to kind of rescue the happy birthday spirit yk. Im sorry for over explaining lol,anyways love you have a great day
