While the populace of Greater Huccs toil in the shibbuilding plants, the owners of the plants and their families mostly live on the icy hell's sister planet. Much smaller and much less harsh, this planet is perfect for the elites who control the Huccs plants to sit back and watch the fruits of other peoples labor flow into their pockets. It is a highly private planet, with massive mansions accessible by invite only all over the surface. Several large companies are also headquartered here, such as Torrid Lake FTL and the Huccs Craft Company.

AXM Signals (Proton Vector Units)

To achieve Faster Than Light travel, several devices must be used in tandem, most notably, the FTL Drive and FTL Projector. The FTL Drive accelerates and condenses hyperfuel atoms, and inscribes them with a directional signal. This signal format is known as AXM. It consists of two values, each corresponding to a degree measure based on a universal constant xy and z plane. The first value taken determines the x direction in degrees, while the second determines the z. These values are read by the computer as A(x°)X(z°)M. The planes are also known as the A plane and the M plane. Once the atoms have the direction, they are projected into a bubble around the ship. Everything in that bubble will maintain a constant speed determined by the distance calibrator in the FTL Drive, so that no particles are left behind. FTL travel is an extremely precise process, and even small angular discrepancies could result in total ship failure and catastrophic craft tears. Luckily, Torrid Lake FTL has ensured the standard for all FTL technology across the Bay is maintained, and that minimal light speed related casualties are incurred. However, they have so far been unable to take any substantial steps in securing their vessels from the Faster Than Light life forms that plague the hyperlanes of the Bay...
