Transhuman House 2.0 Launch
With the donation of a new 3 bedroom condo in Provo, the Transhuman House has moved to a new location that is bigger and better and as we are setting up, we hope to open the first week of dec. We also have a new Sponsor ‘Metric.Media’ that has supplied a new 86 inch interactive touch wall panel you can see us installing as well as other interactive screens.
In the new house, we have added touch displays for key projects, more of the library is available but other more technical displays such as a south-east Asian bio-topic biosphere is running and a different hydroponics system and solar examples along with more smart home features.
If you’re in the area, check out the transhuman house in Provo and you can even book a stay in one of three rooms including the post-human suite under construction now.
check out our new sponsor at http://metric.media/, in particular, their blog at http://blog.metric.media/

Canada Post The Phygital Road Show
Canada Post’s direct mail business continues to decline as marketers increase their spend in digital channels. To put direct mail on their consideration list, we needed to deliver something disruptive that was fresh and intriguing.
Envisioned as a kind of travelling science expo, the Phygital Road Show positioned the integration of physical and digital media as the “future of marketing.”
Hosted over the course of three days in three agency-rich locations in downtown Toronto, these pop-up events demonstrated just how effective direct mail can be through a range of exciting, hands-on experiences.
Attendance exceeded expectations by 180% and requests for a sales follow-up exceeded the objective by an astonishing 360%.

6 Elements to Add a More Natural & Rustic Feel to Your Space
The key to the rustic design is a simple style that emphasises the beauty of muted colours, natural materials including wood beams or small touches of stone & clay, and cosy furnishings. Over the decades, people have aspired to be able to incorporate nature into their homes. People have a long-standing affinity for organic and natural-looking things because they make a space feel warm, inviting, and natural.
So, take a look at these ideas for incorporating natural and organically inspired materials into your interiors if you've been attempting to come up with creative ways to bring the outdoors inside your house.
1. Exposed Bricks for a Natural Look
Nowadays, you'll see many people are shifting their interests towards exposed brick walls rather than using different textures and colours. This is because the look and feel of the bricks give a traditional look to any space. Apart from this, its uniformity in the pattern creates a focal point and provides a great texture to your walls.
2. Natural Stone Wall Cladding for an Opulent Touch
If you want a natural look and, at the same time, want to increase the aesthetics of your home, then consider installing stone cladding for your walls. Natural stone wall cladding adds a sophisticated touch to your room and provides a layer of protection from harsh weather conditions.
3. Invest in Wood
One of the simplest and cosiest natural materials to incorporate into interior design is wood, available in various treatments, species, and uses. Older buildings' wood can be salvaged, refinished, and used for anything from flooring to ceiling beams in your home to extend its useful life.
4. Incorporate Natural Flowers Rather than Artificial Ones
In the past, maintaining houseplants was considered a burden. Today, you can instantly brighten any space by planting indoor bulbs, caring for low-maintenance plants like succulents and cacti, or just adorning your home office desk with a fresh bouquet. As flowers and potted plants like succulents have made it simple to add natural appeal to your dining room table, coffee side table, or front foyer table, nature is now making its way into more and more interiors in actual and natural condition.
5. Wall Murals to Add a Unique Touch
Wall murals are a unique way to bring a natural and classy look to your home. You can incorporate different wall mural ideas to embellish your room. Countless colours, materials, patterns, and design options will help you create a dream space.
6. Natural Sunlight is the Best Option
Sunlight is one of the most accessible, affordable, and stunning natural resources that many people overlook. Natural daylighting can provide life to any space, bring out the colours in your furnishings & wall decor, and energise people.
Conclusion
So, these six elements can bring a natural as well as rustic feel to your home. However, you can incorporate any of these ideas into your space that fits your style and budget best.

To achieve this increase in damping when approaching a wall or line, the following lines of pseudocode were written:
FBox touchWall ;
for (Wall item : wallList) {
touchWall = wallToWorldList.get(item);
if(C.isTouchingBody(touchWall)) {
playerToken.h_avatar.setDamping(770);

Canada Post The Phygital Road Show
Canada Post’s direct mail business continues to decline as marketers increase their spend in digital channels. To put direct mail on their consideration list, we needed to deliver something disruptive that was fresh and intriguing.
Envisioned as a kind of travelling science expo, the Phygital Road Show positioned the integration of physical and digital media as the cutting-edge, innovative way to do marketing. To live up to this promise, we started by creating a fresh expression for the brand.

Equal parts science and inspiration, this was a whole new kind of undertaking for our client. For the first time, we could demonstrate the benefits of direct mail in a truly engaging and interactive way.
vimeo
Hosted over the course of three days in three agency-rich locations in downtown Toronto, these pop-up events demonstrated just how effective direct mail can be through a range of exciting, hands-on experiences.

Using cutting-edge neuroimaging technology, guests could test their brain's real-time reactions to various media formats.

Touch-triggered displays delivered insights on data intelligence, the nature of consumer attention, and the effectiveness of direct mail.

An artful touchwall invited guests to explore the possibilities of direct mail with their hands.

The big creative challenge here was coming up with exhibits that would be engaging and inspiring enough for our savvy, sophisticated audience that were grounded in the nuts and bolts of product benefits. Then, of course, came the just-as-formidable challenges of executing on our ideas within time and budget constraints.
For the client and the agency, this event was a juggernaut – unique in its complexity, involving the collaboration of many teams both inside and outside of each organization.
As a result of everyone’s hard work, it was a resounding success. Attendance exceeded expectations by 180% and requests for a sales follow-up exceeded the objective by an astonishing 360%.

Trend alert: The future of in-store shopping goes high tech
Retailers are responding to this new "mission shopping" phenomenon by giving shoppers an intelligent, in-store experience driven by technology. The next time you visit your favorite store, don't be surprised if you see high-tech innovations that enhance your experience and make shopping easier than ever before.
Trend 1: Gamification
It's no secret that gaming is a popular pastime for many people. With the growth in availability and affordability of gaming systems in recent years, it seems everyone has their favorite game, and retailers are taking notice. It's no surprise that stores are integrating the fun and interactivity of gaming to bring the shopping experience to the next level.
At the forefront of in-store gaming interactivity is the HSN Touchwall, which is enabling the company to expand its reach beyond existing channels to new shoppers. Using this digital display, shoppers can take a virtual cooking class from world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck, learn how to use his products and create shopping lists. It's all at the tips of their fingers - literally.
Trend 2: Connectivity
As our world becomes increasingly connected, people expect this trend to seamlessly integrate into every aspect of their lives, and retail is no exception.
Today, more shoppers are conducting research prior to making a purchase. Even while in-store, you'll see many people looking up additional information on their mobile phones. In fact, 52 percent of adult cellphone owners use their devices while in-store to assist with purchasing decisions, according to the Pew American & Internet Life Project.
Much like how you access your smart phone to get additional information and to connect to others, the shopping experience is becoming more connected as well.
This transformation can be demonstrated with the Adidas Virtual Footwear Wall, which is powered by Intel and allows shoppers to access the entire shoe inventory via a digital display, view the product from any angle and see what others are saying about it on social networks. The capability to communicate in real time with fellow shoppers about your purchasing decision is essential in today's fast-paced, connected world.
Trend 3: Intelligent, customized advertising
Americans today are constantly bombarded with irrelevant advertising while companies are searching for ways to determine if their campaigns are effective. To resolve this, many retailers and advertisers are turning to digital signs to bring meaningful, immersive experiences to shoppers and enable more effective marketing for companies.
How does it work? Intel Audience Impression Metrics Suite (AIM Suite) anonymously detects user demographics - like gender and age - through an optical sensor, allowing the digital sign to instantly tailor its content. It's a win-win situation. Shoppers now get personalized information and advertisers have measurable results. To maintain shopper anonymity, the software doesn't collect any personally identifiable information or record any images or video footage.
One example is Kraft Foods' DIJI-TASTE, which offers complimentary samples of TEMPTATIONS by JELL-O desserts. The innovation? This product is marketed exclusively to adults, and with the Intel AIM Suite software that can detect if an adult or child is approaching the kiosk, only adults will receive the samples.
These three technology trends are only the beginning of what likely will be big changes for the future of shopping. Visiting your favorite store has never been more useful and fun.
