We did that cabinet for @highland_interiors .. I just love how it came out!!! During designing process me and Ilene went back and forth with grill design, remember that we were trying 3", 4" 5" and 6" on diagonal.. Do you know what is the actual size of that circle? In this post I would like to explain how we trim window with oversized extension, casing, sill, and apron. As you go thru slides you can see that we do "flush" window sill with extension, we are using kreg pocket system for perfect joints and then we sand that molding with precision. Normally those extensions should be made from plywood but in THIS case homeowner wanted to buy mdf. It is ok for first and 2nd floor but I would never recommend it in basements, also if you do use mdf always use "window's foam insulation" we used it here also. As you see job looks very nice and clean and could be left like this without even painting it.
