Hey sorry if this is weird or out of the blue-mostly sending this to ask for 2nd opinion if that's okay. So I ID as trans, but I haven't made any sort of transition yet. I just know I'm not *this* gender. However is it weird that I don't really want to transition? Not only am i not in a financial position, but other than chopping off my boobs I kinda don't want to? I'm fine being feminine so long as ppl known I'm not...female? I catch such a high from being called he or they but I don't feel like I "qualify" as trans. Are there even qualifications?

Disclaimer that I am cis, and as such take the stance that ‘I don’t get to define what being transgender is’. That being said, my take on it is:

‘Trans’ is just a label that refers to a group of people with shared experiences. You do not have to know whether or not that label applies to you in order to know what feels good and what doesn’t, and to experiment with that. If being called by male pronouns makes you happy, fucking do it! If dressing in a more masculine or androgynous fashion makes you feel good, do it! And if your feelings on this change, and later on you decide you do want to say, go on T, that’s fine too! If you end up deciding against top surgery but still want he/they pronouns, guess what? That’s fine too. 

 You do not need to prove that you meet a specific label in order to make the decisions that help you feel comfortable in your own body. You don’t have to like, earn the right to manhood or the right to be trans. Hell, if we built The TransJudger 9000 that could scan your soul and determine if you were trans or not, and it said you weren’t, but you still found using he/they pronouns and having a flat chest and identifying as male made you feel happy and comfortable, it would still be good and okay to do those things. 

But honestly? You sound pretty damn trans to me.
