i like to imagine yj living together in the most chaotic way possible. like tim bought a whole ass apartment building just for the eight of them. its basically a frat house. just eight besties living in a building together. and i mean, it works. they all are able to do their whole codependent attached at the hip thing and have some private space to wind down at the end of the day. theres a massive basement thats basically their actual headquarters, its got training rooms and control rooms and a zeta tube so everyone can get to their respective cities. i also dont imagine it being in anyone's city, i think it would make sense to be somewhere else. either LA or new york, im unsure. they also just have a shit ton of dogs. like you cant tell me that kon, cassie, and bart arent dog people and the rest of them just have to deal with it. plus, cats dont like greta since she still has like lingering spectral energy or some shit.

Pune Couple's Organized Cyber Blackmailing Scandal Uncovered

In the state's sensational cyber black mailing case registered at Pratap Nagar police station, the court on Monday extended the police custody of the three accused arrested from Pune for one more day, including the main accused Pune resident Shatrughan Singh Tangral, his wife Manjusha and Rahul Satyendranath Jha. All three were arrested from Pune. After the arrest, the court gave them a 4-day PCR which ended on Monday.  On Monday, the Pratap Nagar police presented all three in the court, where the police sought more time from the court for questioning, in such a situation, the court extended the police custody of the three accused by one day.

Fake bill sent by e-mail

Shatrughan and Manjusha used to play the game of e-mail in a fun way to make fake bills of about Rs 8.76 crores and fake bills used to manipulate crores. According to the information received, Shatrughan used to send bills from Excellon's official email ID shatru@excellonsoft.com to his personal ID shatrusingh@hotmail.com. Then from here he used to send this bill to Manjusha. After this, Manjusha used to send this bill back to Excellon on behalf of BizCloud. In this way, after the payment of the bill, the money used to reach in the pockets of Shatrughan and Manjusha.

It has been learned that this whole scandal of cyber blackmailing has been done in a very organized manner. Being an employee of Excellon, Shatrughan was given an email ID by the company. Due to his supremacy, Shatrughan had also given jobs to his family members in the company. Shatrughan's brother Virendra Singh Tangral and his wife Ritu Jain are among the accused.

Ritu had received the email id rituj@excellonsoft.com from Excellon. After Bizcloud, Ritu had sent the names of the team of another company Trayasoft to Shatrughan with this ID. The special thing is that till this time Trayasoft had not been registered.

This email was done on January 28, 2019, while Triasoft's domain was registered on March 4, 2020 and the company's Pune address on June 4, 2020. Shatrughan and Manjusha's names were found to be directors in both Bizcloud and Triasoft companies. Apart from this, the names of the rest of the employees also looked exactly the same in both the companies. This shows that Triasoft was registered as a dummy company of BizCloud.

HEWWO EVERYBODY IT’S END OF YEAR RECAP TIME WITH ME: UR PAL ARDO

First of all if ur reading this, merry christmas if u celebrate it and happy holidays if u don’t!!! Y’all are amazing people and I hope this time of year is a good one for you, and if it’s not I hope you find the time to do smth nice for urself!!

Dam this year has been crazy tho. I mean if ur dash is anything like mine you’ve prob seen all those posts talking about how long this year has felt re: the sheer amount of stuff happening. But on a more individual level there’s some stuff I wanna say I guess so in no particular order here is my Thoughts™ coz there’s been some good, some bad, and some weird this year. 

So, this year has been a kind of wild one for me in terms of things changing. The big one being that I started university and kinda lost contact with most of my pals from high school. All goods tho, coz I met some amazing new people thru tabletop gaming who idk if I’m at the friends point with yet, but I defo wanna try and get there coz they’re cool as heck. It’s true what people say that starting university is a big change coz DAM things have been wild and hopefully are gonna keep being wild next year espc coz one of my online friends is moving down to start at my university and I’m super excited to meet her in person!! Speaking of meeting people in person I finally got to hang out with @chipmunkwithwings at her place and that was one of the highlights of my year for sure! She’s a super cool person and that week was just utterly brilliant.

Anyways while we’re on the topic of friends this year sure has been exciting for that as well. I’ve made some amazing new ones, gotten closer with some older ones, had some drift apart and thru it all I’ve learnt something important. Namely that, there’s nothing wrong with the friends I had before, but I’ve felt so much better and it’s just been so much healthier for me now I’ve also started pursuing and focusing on friendships with people around my age. It sounds weird to say, but despite having a good collection of close friends there was a part of me that was lonely, and that part has kinda stopped being so much now not all my friends are 10ish years older than me. 

That’s one thing I’ve discovered, but this year has been a big one for discovery for me. I tried a bunch of different papers and found out that I hate international relations and love philosophy. I’ve started learning Swedish!! And probably the biggest and most important discovery: thanks to my friends telling me ��dude you really need to do this” I’ve gotten on anti-depressants!!! Which have really been helping me so much. That’s probably.... my biggest regret is that I didn’t get on them a few years ago. Still, I’m on them now and my head is just working so much better. Also, and I’ve talked about this in an earlier post so if you wanna kno deets you can go read it, I properly I guess remembered? stopped repressing? how a friend abused me a few years ago and started working thru the issues I have because of that.  

At this point I’m gonna put things under a cut coz this is where shit is gonna get long.

around 4000 years before the battle of Yavin, there was a man who would become Darth Nihilus. This man has little origin known to the galaxy. but what we do know is this

Created when Malachor V was torn apart, Nihlius is intended to be interpreted as an Other Half of a certain exile. One who took a more self destructive path rather than denying the Force during the battle that ended the Mandalorian Wars.

Name coming from the word Nihilist- meaning one who believes in denial of all real existence and of the possibility of an objective basis for truth. This Dark Lord was once a human male, who reigned as a Dark Lord of the Sith during the Era of Strife that followed the Jedi Civil War. It’s believed and whispered that before becoming the Sith Lord we know him as now, he lost everything during the Galactic Republic’s War against the Mandalorian Neo Crusaders. During this war he survived the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator- a weapon of mass destruction super weapon that rendered Malachor V to be the inhospitable husk of it’s former self.

Experiencing the shadow that obliterated almost everything on and around the planet made Nihilus crave Force energy. The affliction painfully ravaged his body while rendering him a wound in the Force. (literally a wound, in the KOTOR 2 game it’s even mentioned how there is nothing physically there...just a void behind the mask and cloaked in robes dark as space itself)

A Dark Lord of the Sith, a Darth Traya, found him and offered to teach him how to feed his endless hunger. He not only accepted her offer but became one of the three who would form the Sith Triumvirate. Dubbed as The Lord of Hunger.

Over time, and along side Traya’s other apprentice Darth Sion, the two grew in power and eventually overpowered their Master. Sion defeated Traya, while Nihlius sapped her energy. The two Sith then combined power to sever her connection to the Force, sending her into Exile.  Nihilus’ affliction developed to the point where the Dark Lord was forced to call upon the dark side of the Force to encase his spirit within his mask and armor to stay alive. Sion and he then began a Jedi purge, causing the virtual extinction of the Jedi Order. Nihilus was responsible for the devastation of the planet Katarr in 3952 BBY, killing and absorbing the Force energy of the Jedi at the Conclave on Katarr along with every other living thing on the world save one Miraluka woman named Visas Marr. Marr was collected from the surface and Nihilus began to train her as his Shadow Hand.

After a year under his service, Nihlius sent Marr off to strike out and kill a woman Jedi, an Exile. Meetra Surik. In an attempt to stop Surik from finding the new Jedi Masters who had survived the Purge that Nihilus and Sion brought upon the Galaxy. To Nihilus’ misfortune, Marr was defeated by Surik but instead of slain, the shadow hand joined the Jedi woman, and led her to the former’s previous Master in attempt to stop him. This would occur over the skies of Telos when drawn out of hiding, Nilhius couldn’t wait to feed, and was trapped by Republic and Mandalorian fleets. Distracted by those two fleets Nihilus was then confronted by Surik, Marr and Mandalore the Preserver on his flag ship- The Ravager.

Darth Nihilus was a man who always craved greater power. However, unlike most Sith Lords, he cared very little for the Sith as an organization. Nihilus saw death as the sole purpose of life, and power as the means to achieve it. He was cautious, as his actions during the campaign against the Jedi showed, and was known as an aggressive, dominant figure who would not abide a threat to his power.

As said above, Nihilus was once a Human male with black hair coiled finely into strips that he tied together behind his head. After he indulged his hunger for the dark side he lost his corporeal form, preserving his existence only by having his spirit linger within his mask and armor. The Dark Lord fully embraced his condition, as the mysterious and monstrous facets of it instilled in people who met him a deep-rooted fear upon which he could prey. Ceasing to feel fear and other emotions, he became an entity of pure intent. Nonetheless, Nihilus was still Human enough to have some feelings, as his bond with Marr persisted until their confrontation on the Ravager. She was his only apprentice, and her betrayal was met with much anger.

As there is only legends material and very little at that, Darth Nihilus is one shrouded in more mystery than fact, literally as well as metaphorically. Claimed by many as one of the most power of the Sith because of his massive hunger, but also argued to be posisbly one of the weakest for the same reason. Nihilus will hopefully one day be brought back into canon, but until then we have these legends from the Obsidian game KOTOR 2 and other mentions in the Expanded Universe to go off

How an everyday oilsands byproduct has become an industry threat

From the lack of available pipeline capacity to the potential adoption of electric cars, there is no shortage of threats facing the Canadian oilsands. But the latest menace lies in a seemingly innocuous and highly common element: sulphur.

Long a byproduct of the heavy oil industry, sulphur is so common that it’s become a part of the general landscape at mining sites such as Syncrude Canada Ltd.’s Mildred Lake facility (now majority owned by Suncor Energy Inc.), where massive blocks of sulphur byproduct are stacked several storeys high, kind of like a yellow-stained low-rise apartment complex.

Global regulators are trying to stem sulphur-dioxide emissions, which will potentially shrink the market for heavy crude, but new marine regulations targeting the sulphur content used in shipping fuel could soon force Canadian oilsands companies to stomach an even steeper discount.

“This is a very straightforward issue,” said Allan Fogwill, president of the Canadian Energy Research Institute (CERI). “What we’re facing is a devaluation of oilsands assets in the marketplace.”

Fogwill and the industry’s concern is a result of new International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations that aim to dramatically lower sulphur content levels in bunker fuels that propel marine vessels to 0.5 per cent from 3.5 per cent. The changes come into effect January 2020.

The new regulations could force more oil companies to strip higher volumes of crude out of their product, adding more cost to an already capital-intensive process. In the absence of new technologies that would further refine Canadian crude domestically, analysts say exporters may face a widening discount for their product.

CERI released a report at the end of July that found as many as 574,000 barrels per day of oilsands production, or roughly 20 per cent of unconventional oil projects, would not be economic under a scenario where sulphur levels are lowered to the new IMO standards.

The report estimated the discount for Western Canada Select (WCS) compared with West Texas Intermediate (WTI), an international benchmark, could widen to as much as US$33 per barrel by 2025, compared to a recent average discount of around US$15 per barrel.

The additional discount would only intensify a pricing gap that has plagued the oilsands industry because of its inability in recent years to build major pipeline projects such as Enbridge Inc.’s Northern Gateway and TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL.

But Canadian operators are in a bit of a bind. The bitumen lodged deep beneath northern Alberta is one of the most sulphurous oil resources on the planet. High sulphur concentrations give bitumen its nasty-sounding “heavy sour” title, in contrast to the “light sweet” crude produced in, say, the U.S. Midwest.

Bitumen from the oilsands is the most sulphurous in the world.

The result could be that more companies will try to strip sulphur out of their product, turning sour crude sweet. But that process isn’t cheap.

“It’s a big part of what our upgrading process does,” said Will Gibson, a spokesperson for Syncrude, which is among the Canadian operations that produce a lighter “synthetic” crude.

The end product from that process is significantly different than its sour counterparts. Syncrude Sweet Premium oil was selling for around US$64 per barrel Thursday, compared to roughly US$37 for WCS, a heavy blend.

For every barrel of bitumen treated in upgraders, about half is separated out to make diesel and gasoline, while the other “heavy” half is used to make thicker, cheaper products such as bunker fuel and fuel oil. Meanwhile, diesel or gasoline product might account for 80 per cent of every barrel of lighter crudes.

Separating that heavier portion of the oil barrel, or stripping away the remaining sulphur and other detritus, requires an intense amount of energy, which raises both costs and emissions for producers.

Installing a coker unit to remove sulphur could cost oilsands producers up to $XXX

For refiners, installing coker units on site to remove sulphur can cost anywhere between US$800 million and US$2 billion, said Jihad Traya, a consultant at global firm HSB Solomon Associates LLC. That cost is steep, especially since refiners remain unsure how big the discount on heavy crude will be after 2020.

Canadian firms already upgrade about 1.1 million barrels per day domestically into synthetic crudes, or roughly half the oilsands’ total production. The other heavier crudes are refined at foreign facilities, almost exclusively in the U.S.

Very few Canadian companies that depend on U.S. coker units to upgrade their product have begun investing in new technologies to reduce sulphur concentrations, Traya said.

Large integrated firms such as Royal Dutch Shell PLC or Suncor and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. are fairly well prepared to absorb the IMO’s changes. But smaller companies focused on upstream production have instead opted to either accept the discount, or hope that more foreign refiners will make the investments themselves.

“They hope that someone else will take the risk,” Traya said.

But the push to reduce sulphur content levels — and by extension, sulphur-dioxide emissions — is unlikely to go away.

“There’s nowhere to go but down with sulphur,” said Neil Camarta, founder of Calgary-based Field Upgrading Ltd., which is developing a technology to strip sulphur out of heavy oil at a low cost.

Field Upgrading currently operates a micro facility that churns out 10 bpd of low-sulphur product, with plans to expand that amount to 2,500 bpd. The company is currently seeking financing for the expansion. Camarta said the pilot project was built with the explicit intention of meeting lower thresholds for sulphur contents in marine fuels.

“I think this (issue) will come back to haunt the oilsands around 2020,” he said.

An appetite for lower sulphur emissions will become especially prominent as sulphur levels in crude resources continue to rise around the globe. The Paris-based International Energy Agency has repeatedly warned that sulphur levels are reaching higher and higher levels as producers use up the lightest and easiest-to-access crudes.

That trend has regulators focusing on downstream consumers. According to the IMO, marine vessels are responsible for around 13 per cent of sulphur-dioxide emissions under current fuel standards. The latest tightening could dramatically reduce that level, as long as shippers comply with the international standards.

According to the International Maritime Organization, marine vessels are responsible for approximately 13 per cent of sulphur-dioxide emissions under current fuel standards.

Daan van Wieringen, a researcher at Netherlands-based Tauw Group, said sulphur-dioxide levels in some European bitumen sources are higher than commonly realized. He studied various European bitumen blends as part of a white paper in which he argued for tighter sulphur regulations.

“The concentration of H2S (hydrogen sulphide) is sometimes so high that there is an immediate danger to life and health,” Wieringen said.

Sulphur-dioxide emissions can cause respiratory ailments, according to the World Health Organization and others, and can even be deadly in high concentrations.

There is neither a clear consensus about how much the IMO regulations will cost producers, nor how much of that cost will specifically be shouldered by upstream companies.

“There will be a discount applied to higher sulphur products to the refiner that will be passed along to upstream barrels,” said Nicholas Lupick, an analyst at AltaCorp Capital Inc. in Calgary. “But what’s yet to be determined is the exact cost. To say that increased cost will be borne 100 per cent by one piece of the supply chain simply isn’t true.”

Part of the challenge in forecasting the potential impact is uncertainty over whether shippers will simply opt to install scrubbers that effectively clean a ship’s exhaust before letting it out. The technology would allow shippers to continue burning higher sulphur-content fuels.

Companies such as Norway’s Frontline Ltd. and Miami-based cruise-ship operator Carnival Corp. have already opted to install scrubbers in their fleets.

In the absence of that, refiners that want to accept a more sulphur-heavy feedstock will have to install coker units to strip away excess sulphur.

Either way, the impact on the oil market could be temporary. IHS Markit analyst Kevin Birn said a steep discount for sulphurous crude would only spur refiners to more quickly recalibrate their facilities and take on heavier blends, which, in turn, would mop up any excess supply.

“We don’t think this will be a permanent thing,” he said.

Analysts also point out that any discount on Canadian heavy oil could be lessened if midstream firms manage to expand major pipeline routes in coming years, such as Enbridge’s Line 3 replacement project or Kinder Morgan Canada Ltd.’s Trans Mountain expansion, now owned by Ottawa.

There is also growing demand for the petroleum coke — another product of the cheapest and heaviest portion of the barrel — in India to fuel its numerous power facilities, which could help offset any waning demand in heavier marine fuels.

CERI’s Fogwill said the technology required to decrease sulphur levels is already available, but requires potentially steep investments at a time when major oilsands players are more focused on delivering cash to their remaining shareholders.

But some companies may simply have to accept a discount and hope new pipelines ease their market woes.

“It’s not like they don’t have options,” Fogwill said. “But as with anything, these options will cost money.”
