The beer a year in the making… In early 2018 Tring Brewery excitedly launched our second ever MEMBERS BREW competition at our Golden Toad weekend extravaganza. Over 500 votes were cast to decide which member would get their dream Tring beer brewed on our 200l pilot kit, released exclusively in the brewery shop. With a landslide victory Pedro Demetriou (Berkhamsted based graphic designer) won the popular vote. Pedro’s creative streak conjured up a PEANUT BUTTER MILK STOUT. 🥜 Unfortunately, Pedro’s PBMS wasn’t to be – red tape with allergens meant the beer would not be accessible to our complete member base, the core drinkers of this brew. The Tring Brewery team went back to the drawing board, Pedro again playing modern day Willy Wonka. After a little deliberation over sweet treats soaked in nostalgia, we found ourselves a winner. SALTED CARAMEL MILK STOUT (6.0%) is a sweet milk stout brewed using caramel - salted to taste. Robust with notes of sticky treacle and rich chocolate, this beer is liquid indulgence.
