hi leif can you explain lobotomy corp to me. i bought it because of your posts played until day seven got confused and havent touched it since 👍 /nf lh
oh my god you bought lobcorp because of my posts?? i'm honored
but to be completely honest, i haven't actually played it yet ghsdhg. i've been meaning to get it but right now i'm still in the "read every page on the wiki and absorb all the lore without actually playing the game" stage of the hyperfixation. i don't know how it works either, i was just there a few times, and unfortunately my kin memories can't teach me how to play a video game lmao. i'll tag @tronlightcyclerun since i know he's played it, though, and if anyone else wants to respond, you're welcome to!

Wk 20: TRON Lightcycle/Run Vehicles Arrive At The Magic Kingdom!!!
We have been closely monitoring the progress on Magic Kingdom’s new and upcoming attraction, TRON Lightcycle/Run and back in early December, a pair of TRON Lightcycles appeared outside of Space Mountain’s gift shop (The Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.) for guests to try out way before the new attraction makes its debut. There’s a sign that shows guests how the loading procedure will go once TRON opens, but the lightcycle designs are very much like the ones found at the Shanghai Disney Resort theme park. The only minor difference that I have l have found on the ride vehicles are the back restraints: the half circle design is flipped so that the cutoff ends are right-side up, and the ones in Shanghai are upside-down. I am super excited for this ride to open. If you want the best photo-op experience to test out these new vehicles, then head on over to the Magic Kingdom towards the evening hours, as it gets dark, so the neon lights will turn on. The lights aren’t on in the daytime, when the sun is up, so be there when it’s completely dark outside.

Wk 25: Arrows added to the TRON Lightcycle/Run Display at the Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World Resort is currently ever evolving as construction continues on the TRON Lightcycle/Run roller coaster attraction that is set to debut next year for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
There is no construction update on the attraction itself, due to the fact that the walls are the only elements going up as of right now, but there was a small addition that was added to the TRON Lightcycle vehicle displays.
Tumblr media
There are now arrows on the ground that give guests an idea of how the boarding process will work. I thought originally that the arrows were drawn out with concrete, chalk, or if it was just some material that was placed on the ground. It turns out that these arrows are made out of tape. The tape is very similar to that of packing tape, because it can still be ripped off. It’s there to direct you how you would get on the left and/or right lightcycles.

I am very excited for this new addition to arrive at the Magic Kingdom!!!

Wk 22: More TRON Lightcycle Run Wall Panels Go Up!!!
I have been continuously checking in on the construction progress of the TRON Lightcycle/Run attraction that is currently being built behind Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, and I am very pleased to inform you that the wall panels that have started to go up at the beginning of the month has progressed rapidly! The entire front portion of the TRON show building is almost completely covered in wall panels, which is the direction facing the Barnstormer in Storybook Circus.
Tumblr media
In the photo above, you can see that over half of the front part of the show building is covered in wall panels that are two various shades of gray.
Tumblr media
On the side of the show building, the center of the building is covered in wall panels, while there is still work to be done on both sides of the paneling. Scaffolding has gone up, and you can see a little bit of the inside of the show building, but if the construction crews keep up construction at a this high pace, it won’t be long before we can’t see the inside of the building anymore, which means that the whole building is going to be covered soon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There have since been more supplies that were shipped to the construction site, to continue the foundation work for the launch section of the coaster. These poles are supports for this side of the show building. There are also concrete pillars and pads with rebar that have been added to the site. This attraction is starting to come together! I cannot wait for the canopy to be added to the exterior portion of the queue!!!
Tumblr media
One of the most exciting additions to TRON Lightcycle/Run is the addition of steel arches that were erected to the site a few days ago. These arches will serve as the attraction queue, and the attraction facade should be going here as well, when the attraction reaches completion.
TRON Lightcycle/Run is expected to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Are you excited to ride this groundbreaking E-ticket attraction when it opens at the Magic Kingdom?
Stay tuned for more information on the construction progress of TRON Lightcycle/Run and other projects happening at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Wk 13: TRON Lightcycle Run Exterior Track Installed
Two years ago, announcements were made to be upgrading the Disney Parks in Walt Disney World. My favorite announcement was the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom in 2021.
Tumblr media
The construction was moving along at a very quick rate and most, if not all, of the interior track was placed. Now, construction crews are working on the outside of the TRON Lightcycle Run attraction, where the exterior portion of the track is installed.
Tumblr media
Not all of the exterior track has been connected, but a lot of track has been added. The crews still need to connect the rest of the track to the brake run at the top of the structure to the right, to complete the outdoor portion of track. Some of the track  was installed overnight.
Tumblr media
There is still lots of work to be done, but given that the construction crews are working hard on this project that is looking to be completed in two years, we may begin seeing the attraction facade forming over the exterior track, which is shown in the concept art.

Wk 3: D23 Expo 2019: TRON Lightcycle/Run
The D23 Expo is upon us! There is plenty of announcements and construction from Disney Parks around the world, and Walt Disney World is not an exception. Today, we finally get to see new concept art released by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, the Cast Member outfits for the new ride, the ride vehicle, and the official name.
Let’s first start off with the name. Shanghai Disney Resort’s ‘TRON Lightcycle Power Run’ was a great title for China, but for Walt Disney World, Imagineers titled this attraction, ‘TRON Lightcycle/Run.’
Tumblr media
Next, we take a look at the Cast Member costumes for TRON Lightcycle/Run. They are very similar to those that of Shanghai, which include the reflective teal and white colors with the black cover.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After we get a good view at the new costumes, we take a quick look at the new concept art released on the show floor. The original concept art showed the attraction marquee above the attraction canopy and stair-like structures to get to the ride. In the new concept art, the marquee and attraction logo is shown on the ground where guests are walking to the coaster and instead of stairs/escalators to approach the ride entrance, there is a winding path/ramp up to the ride entrance. It is completely different from the old concept art.
Tumblr media
Lastly, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the ride vehicle itself! The Lightcycle design is the exact same model from China’s version, but it looks slightly larger than Shanghai in order to accommodate guests with a bigger body size.

Wk 15: TRON Lightcycle Run Exterior Track Pieces Completed
Tumblr media
Since a TRON themed roller coaster was announced back in 2017 for a way to celebrate Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, there is a lot of construction progress completed. The exterior track was starting to go up a little while ago, and then there was a track piece that still had to be connected to the indoor show building portion. Now, that final outdoor piece has been connected to the indoor building, so for the most part, the outdoor track is just about complete. The construction work has then shifted to building the LED light canopy that will cover the outdoor track and will have a light pattern that will follow the lightcycle ride vehicles when complete. The queue for the new attraction is being focused on as well, so within the next few months, there should be a lot more progress on the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster that will continue construction, all the way to the opening in two years. You can view the images here: https://wdwnt.com/2019/11/photos-final-piece-of-exterior-roller-coaster-track-installed-on-tron-lightcycle-run-at-the-magic-kingdom/ The TRON Lightcycle Run attraction is scheduled to open in time at the Magic Kingdom for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in 2021.
