GOT MILK?....... Malanda Does! . Malanda QLD, located in the Atherton tablelands is not only known for its successful dairy industry but also gifted with beautiful panoramic views, wildlife like platypus and Tree Kangaroo’s, Rainforest walks and some stunning waterfalls just to name a few. . This Easter Holiday we made temporary home at @malandafallscaravan with good friends. Whilst at the CP the kids made the most of the facilities which included an animal nursery and plenty of space to whip around on the deadly treadly’s. . In between eating the continual provision of Cheese/Charcuterie Boards or the Mexican Fiesta Themed dinner night, we did get out to adventure the beautiful surrounds of Malanda. . Our Adventures saw us visiting the waterfall trail, surrounding lakes, Platypus Rock and the Beautiful   Cathedral Fig Tree to name a few. . Dreaming of that van life 🚐👫 ↠ We first took a campervan trip together around Europe for 50 days. There were bets that Jasmine wouldn’t make it but lo and behold; she actually loved it! 😅 our next campervan trip was on home soil touring through tropical North Queensland. By our last day, we didn’t want to return our temporary home. Now, we dream of perhaps one day, picking up a campervan again and travelling slowly. Palm trees for days 🌴 ↠ Truth be told, we got quite lucky finding this spot. Yes we originally saw a similar aerial on Instagram and after a bit of online research, Bevan managed to locate it on Google Maps. We had almost forgotten about it until Bevan’s keen eyes spotted it on our drive back to Cairns from Port Douglas and we pulled over to drain the drone batteries before our flight! ↠ We’re always a bit torn with geotagging on Instagram - a place that becomes popular due to social media will incur positive and negative impacts and we don’t want to contribute to the latter! ↠ How do you feel about geotagging? Mission Possible 🌴 - The benefit of travelling around @tropicalnorthqueensland in a campervan meant that we could park right next to the beach, set the alarm for 5am, roll open the slider door and be on the sand in less than 5 minutes. Seriously ideal conditions for a sunrise session on a bendy palm tree. - We arrived at Mission Beach driving through Djiru National Park which includes a cassowary conservation area. Where else but @queensland ☀️ • • We spent 4 glorious days up in the Whitsundays with some of our closest friends to celebrate Jas’ 30th birthday. For many of us, it was our first time up to this beautiful part of tropical North Queensland and boy, it did not disappoint! • • Our days were sun drenched as we cruised along aquamarine waters and sunbathed on the famous Whitehaven Beach. We were lucky enough to spot some migrating whales and Jas started her special day by jumping out of a plane! ✈️ • • We can totally see why families and honeymooners holiday here.
