Ugh I kinda really petered out on my True Blood re-watch, huh? Honestly, with the Tara and Lafayette's deescalation of importance and relevance in the overall narrative really put me off the show. Like they were so integral in the beginning of the show, shit season 2 was pretty much "Tara's season" cause it can be easily argued that she is basically one of the main protagonist of the season considering how her character arc effected the overall plot the most. But in season 6, Tara and Lafayette just take a backseat to Eric and Bill. Which just... Ugh. Like Eric has charisma and intrigue. But I honestly have such a hard time giving a fuck about Bill. Like he just isn't hot and sexy. I don't find him attractive. Like Eric and Alcide and Warlow and Eggs and Coot and Jason Stackhouse and whoever the hell Christoper Meloni played all are men of like great masculine beauty. They really embody that supernatural attractive allure that works for a sexed up fantasy narrative like True Blood. And I believe all the women of the show meet up to that standard as well (idk I'm gay). But Bill straight up does not give me that drop dead gorgeous vampire sex appeal the show pretends that he has. He literally just looks like any white. Like throw a stone and I can hit 10 mofos that look just like Bill.
Anyways, my chicken is almost done, I haven't seen the show in a minute but I took a really long nap this afternoon so I have no need to go back to sleep yet and this show is better viewed in the evening.

True Blood 3x03
Okay so like this episode was a little stupid. There were a lot of "girl what?" moments that felt very... unmotivated to me.
I don't understand why no one tells Jessica anything. I feel like everyone would find her less annoying if they like umm... tell her how the fuck to be a vampire? She got turned against her will and is thrown into the middle of all these people's drama like give her a break. I find her annoying to be goddamn I would be all up in someone's business if they made me a vampire and then proceeded to just sideline me.
So like the werewolves have a bar where they have giant images of well photographs wolves? Are... are they there friends? Like they are light up displays too, like not just some printed at Kinko's. Nah the had to get like a private company and commissioned to have those designed and installed in their "under the radar secret werewolf dive bar" AND THEN THE BOUNCER JUST RANDOMLY TELLA ALCIDE HIS EX IS ENGAGED BRUH
All the stuff with Sam's family is very 馃檮
I hate hate hate this arc for Jason. I def remember back becoming significantly less attracted to him cause he is going through all this trauma. But like... his white privilege is on full display on how Andy is protecting him. Like fuck I almost wish he would just confess and get sent to jail. That feels way better than what actually is happening. Like fuck it just feels like the plot is protecting him even though Jason suffering the consequences for his actions would better suit his character. Like yeah he fails about being a cop now but then he literally becomes one. Ugh just ugh
I'm just glad the show keeps a relative good stock of hot guys to thirst over. Alcide may carry me through the show. But it's nice to see Coot while he is here. And Eric is showing off, despite how like 110% abusive he is like DEAR GOD vampires really are evil. Godric was so right. I can't wait till Eric loses his memory and becomes decent.
And Bill hate fucking Lorena umm like ......... 馃檮 I don't..... Ugh..... I'm just happy that after this season, there is no more Bill/Sookie cause this is the season that comes out that Bill is like more creepy than he leads on. Granted, I don't remember what all that was. But hey, I'm still at the beginning of this season.
I'm just noticing how the cracks are starting to show. The first two season felt pretty tight and deposits I feel season 3 being a good follow up to the last two seasons, just certain dumb small decisions are adding up. Cause I know the show gets like hella wonky towards the end. Like I feel like I'm still at the "good out weighing the bad" part of the series.
