Hello moon! May I ask which resources you used to learn Tarot? Any websites? Or special books? Thx a lot! I want to get into this myself I have a deck around already but don't know where to start
Hey there, dear.
The list below only contains resources I personally used/use but at the end of it, I included a few options I heard about but couldn’t connect with well for varying reasons or simply didn’t feel interested in. I hope it helps 🌻
Websites
The Tarot Lady
Learning the Tarot - an online course
Physical Books I own and can recommend
Tarot - 22 Steps to a Higher Path by D. Baloti Lawrence
21 Ways to Read a Tarot card by Mary K. Greer
Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom - A Book of Tarot by Rachel Pollack
The Complete Book of Tarot Reversals by Mary K. Greer
The New Tarot Handbook by Rachel Pollack
The Internet Archive: Digital Library
I am very certain I simply searched for “Tarot” and read whatever book I came across.
Tarot by Dennis Fairchild
Tarot by Janina Renee
Tarot by David V. Barrett
The Tarot by Paul Foster Case
Tarot Classic by Stuart R. Kaplan
Tarot Mysteries by Jonathan Dee
Tarot Basics by Evelin Burger
The Tarot: a contemporary course of the quintessence of hermetic occultism by Mouni Sadhu
Simply tarot by Leanna Greenaway
Tarot Masterclass by Paul Fenton-Smith
The Tarot Revealed by Eden Gray
Mastering The Tarot by Eden Gray
Choice centered tarot by Gail Fairfield
New Age Tarot by James Wanless
The tarot handbook by Angeles Arrien
Mastering the Tarot by Juliet Sharman-Burke
Tarot for your self by Mary K. Greer
Jung and Tarot by Sallie Nichols
Tarot made easy by Nancy Garen
Understanding and Using Tarot by Emily Peach
Tarot for Dummies by Amber Jayanti
Dictionary of the tarot by Bill Butler
The Mandale astrological tarot by A. T. Mann
2008 Tarot Reader by Llewellyn
2007 Tarot Reader by Llewellyn
The Tarot Handbook by Naomi Ozaniec
The art of Tarot by Elizabeth Dean
Pocket Guide to the Tarot by Alan Oken
This is only a part of my reading log and as my account on that site is a little older already, I barely have an overall perspective on how good or bad they were.
I took what resonated and left what didn’t and that’s the process I advise everyone to follow as well because what might resonate with you, might not for someone else and that’s fine 🌹
Other resources I’ve heard of or come across but didn’t use
biddytarot
labyrinthos
trustedtarot
thesecretofthetarot
The Fool’s Dog Tarot Apps
With all these resources, interpretation possibilities and different opinions on meanings it can feel like your own intuition may be “inexperienced” but actually, above all, follow your own intuition when it perks up during a reading, dear 🌻
Happy learning!

Hello! I’m interested in doing tarot readings on myself but I’m still quite new when it comes to interpretations, and you’re readings really help a lot! Do you have any tips? Also how do you do your readings? (Spread, amount of cards). Thanks, love!
Hey love! I actually made a tarot tips post long ago which might be helpful, you can check it out here.
As for learning the interpretations, I think practicing a lot on yourself and your friends and family can really help! I first learned all the meanings by looking it up online a lot and by reading on myself using an app I had on my phone (called GalaxyTarot). Some of my favorite sites for tarot interpretations are Biddytarot, PsychicRevolution (which I lovee cause they show all the meanings for love, career, etc), and TrustedTarot. So practicing constantly on myself and others I knew (even though I was quite bad in the beginning) helped me in interpreting because I’d always have to think about how the cards would behave in different situations. Also tuning into your own knowledge about certain symbols or numbers may help, like if you see a lion then think of what you associate a lion with and try combining that into your interpretations.
Now for how I do readings, the spread and amount of cards I use depends entirely on the question asked and how much information I’d like to get for the answer. Sometimes I’ll make a spread on my own for a question, that way I can place cards wherever I’d like and it’ll answer certain things I want to know. You can even organize the cards in any shape you’d like (like a circle or a letter shape). Whenever I do a full relationship reading on someone, I like to make both people have their own sides in the spread– that way I can see if their cards are looking at the other person’s side and this can show me how they interact with each other. So yeah you can get really creative with making the spreads, but if you don’t want to make a custom spread, then you can always check online for something that’s related to your question.
Also if you’re going to read for yourself, try making sure you’re being unbiased when asking questions so you can get a more accurate and clear answer. Sometimes our own energies and thoughts get reflected in the cards if we’re feeling too strongly about something, so it’s best to remain open-minded and objective about whatever answers you get. A lot of people may struggle in doing this and prefer others to read for them usually (which can actually be very helpful tho since other readers can be unbiased for your question). But you can always read on your own, just make sure you’re not putting out any strong thoughts or feelings into the cards when shuffling and you should be good!
I personally like to read by trusting that my own higher self (or the universe) will provide me with the most accurate and purest answers, so if you feel unsure about reading for yourself, then just allow the universe to do it for you through the cards.
I hope this can help! Have fun with your readings! :) 💖✨

I just had an online tarot card reading on trustedtarot, and it actually made sense. I'm not a huge believer in tarots or psychics or anything but I'm interested in testing it. Go check it out!
