me and my partner are thinking about rehoming one of our dogs because we don't have the money or energy to take care of such a big dog with medical and health issues, esp not since we're about to be living out of our van once we get everything settled and figured out. I'm a little bit sad about it but its not fair to him that we can't afford to take care of him or take him to the vet and its not fair to him that we don't have the kind of energy to meet his enrichment needs either

#truthfully i wish we could rehome both of the dogs #theyre both pretty big and expensive ($60+/month on dog food not including flea meds)#hes having some kind of severe allergy issue which is causing open wounds bc hes scratching so much and a swollen eye #weve tried like 5 types of flea medicine and cleaning and bandaging the wounds and various other stuff #and we just don't have the money to take him to the vet even though he desperately needs it #and we are not going to have the space for two 80lbs dogs in a van #im just venting about it #cayden vent #original content #october 2023
