Whiskers Sewing Shop. Brindleton Bay 1842.
The winter holidays were approaching, Evangeline was finally starting to notice her pregnancy. At the same time, she had to take care of Cynthia, something that was totally new for both of them, since Evangeline had never had to raise a child. The first decision she made was that the young girl needed new clothes.
Evangeline was embarrassed to be out in public with her husband's illegitimate daughter, she tried to remain firm and serious with her, but Cinthya seemed to be happy with this new life.
Evangeline saw this happy and innocent little girl going into a world that was not for her, rarely did this get Evangeline to empathize with Cinthya, as she saw herself mirrored when she married Francis Boneville.
Unexpectedly, Clara and Suzette had also been out buying fabric and ribbons for Harvesfest. Evangeline had not expected to see anyone she knew while out with Cinthya as she was a secret, but not so secret....
Clara: Evie, what a surprise to find you here! It's been a while since we've seen each other... Who's the little young lady?
Evangeline: Oh hello Clara, I... I'm out shopping for clothes. This is Cinthya Cushing, Claudius' daughter. We're out shopping for clothes for Harvesfest and I want her to look beautiful.
She didn't hide her, she didn't deny her kinship, she treated her as if she were her daughter The fact that Evie introduced her to Clara, even if it was small, meant a great deal to Cinthya.

Cynthia is still staying with Justin and Steph and the kids, otherwise none of this would be possible. Stephanie is also pulling big hours at a place where the staff has just been decimated, and they need the help at home.
Cynthia is holding down the fort… Or, well, barely holding down the fort. But she appreciates the distraction of caring for her grandchildren. Everyone is fed and gets to school on time. The chaos of her grandbabies is helping her drown out her grief. And maybe that means she’s not actively dealing with her grief, but that can come later.
They’re thinking about putting her home on the rental market because she’s not interested in moving back into it. (Maybe after EA fixes the buggy For Rent pack.) This little cottage on the hill is bursting at the seams. It’s definitely not big enough for six, but moving would be such a chore right now with everything else going on.
Also, part of the reason Justin is going back to school for architecture is that he has dreams of designing and building their forever home by himself. Big plans with this man!

Sul Sul, Theo Emmanuel Villarreal-Bridges.
These were from right before I lost my mods folder, so I didn’t quite get to finish the photo set how I had originally hoped, but I don’t really feel like redoing it. 😬
These super cute poses are from @chaotic-simss.
