Anyways do you think the Anadi lay eggs. I want to say no because it makes my life easier. They have live birth like humans since they can change shape into humans. however:

- their main/true form is a medium sized spider

- the hybrid form is as something that takes (I think. I'm not checking) level 5 to get. It is mechanically speaking not something all Anadi have (though judging off art/official stat blocks that's hard to tell...)

It would make sense if they laid eggs to avoid any stress on the body. I however hate it.

This is the Pink Motel, a landmark along Tsali Boulevard (US Highway 441) on the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina. Opened in 1953, the vintage motel was originally owned and operated by Lois Queen Farthing, who decided to theme the establishment around the color pink to differentiate it from other lodgings on the Qualla Boundary, which defines the interior decor, sheets, finishes, and exterior paint job on the building. The sign features the famous character Tinkerbell, whom was a favorite of Farthing’s daughter Lyna, giving the exterior a more whimsical appearance. The motel has changed little since it opened, and is a popular vintage mainstay along the main drag of the reservation, a relic of a fast-vanishing era, which sits at the southern gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Mostly human, DS Sith Inquisitor, Lightning Sorc, absolutely batshit crazy mad scientist man i love you<33, scary smart but entirely willing to let people underestimate him in that regard. im hovering somewhere between end, eye, and extinction for him. the end is the obvious one for any inquis tbh, given that its all about both literal and metephorical endings(death, ghosts/spirits, abandonment, silence, etc). Eye as well is incredibly on the nose for any inquisitor, with it being mainly knowledge(knowing+being known, being watched, secrets, etc). Exinction is the most interesting one for him, and the one im leaning towards the most. Considering the inquis is literally remade i think twice over the course of the story, technically being part bug bc of the balmorra mission, and technically being part rakata bc of the mother machine, the whole Massive change/ Something Other thing really fits him. and personally idk why but ive always associated the extinction w/ lightning and smog which is just really fun for a ds lightning sorc

Sith Pureblood, LS/Neutral Sith Warrior, allowed himself one(1) moment of insanity[befriending orion], the only one of my swtor characters that is even remotely chill. on a line between hunt and buried for him. on one hand, literally HUNTS down enemies of the empire, and was baras' assassin for the duration of his apprenticeship. on the other, has nearly gotten buried alive so many times, the immense pressure of being unwillingly thrust into the position of Emperor's Wrath. im settling on a mix of both for him but really it could go either way.

Mirialan, DS Jedi Consular, sneaky little cunt, hes so tall so he can fit more horrors inside of himself, evil bastard jedi the beloved<3, has managed to trick the entire council into thinking hes mostly a good person, is ABSOLUTELY NOT, is at a point in his life where hes honestly just seeing exactly how blatantly evil he can be before they notice. web/slaughter 110%. manipulative, a bitch, kills people just to get away with it.

Togruta, Neutral/DS Jedi Knight. had a major fall from grace, wanted to be good So Badly and tried So Hard but being steeped in the darkside and having the literal sith emperor in ur head for 6months leaves a MARK. after that whole Thing™️, he's so So angry at everything, and the council only seems to acknowledge him when They need something of him, and Scourge is right there saying everything he "needs" to hear. mans didnt just fall he lept off a cliff. definitely Desolation/slaughter. The burning rage, everything he lost/had ripped away vs being forced for months to kill and kill and Kill, and then once youve broken free of that control still turning to that violence because with everything stripped away its the one thing thats still familiar.

i cannot lie, if i had to rank it i'd say book 5 was on the end of least favorite out of all of the ones in the series bc i just felt like. emotionally distanced from it? but that is also understandable due to um- the main character himself being somewhat distanced from the story in the sense that he can't touch anything or anyone, and is not experiencing everything else that's happening.... if that makes sense.... and ALSO just me being like oh the story is coming to a close. yk. BUT it was also a beautiful ending to everything i did get pulled back and at one point i was thinking it was anticlimactic/boring and then we got to the kihrin/relos var confrontation and i got to go "OHHHHHH" once more so it was indeed enjoyable!!! 7/10 might read it again

That is a very respectable answer and one akin to my own reaction! It's not my favorite book in the series, it didn't have the same oomph factor, but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it and was already very attached to all the characters.

Emotionally distanced is a good way to put it. It's not that emotional things don't happen, but we're being pulled so many different directions and need to broaden our view to see it all, perhaps? And yes, stories almost always have that shift in tone at the end because you have to change your approach and manifest all these big concepts and conflicts into material, actual things happening.

The idea of "defeating Xaltorath", which is big and vague and ominously looming, becomes a fight between Kihrin and Ompher that lures her there so they can trap her with her tsali stone and Kihrin can drain its energy. Which is like. Solid plan! It worked! but it's so much more concrete and realized, and then you see the ways each author manifests these huge concepts in their story, and it's almost vulnerable, if that makes sense. To see what they choose to manifest it as, because everyone will think of something different as the optimal choice.

For me, the final book isn't a make or break situation. It is weaker (in my personal opinion) in terms of feeling, but it has enough intrigue and satisfaction in certain regards (e.g. that Kihrin/Rev'arric confrontation) that it's still solid. And alongside the rest of the series, it's still as a whole very much so up there for me. You know?

Legend of Spearfinger

I have always been fascinated by the legends and tales of the southeast. From Native American lore to traditional tales, I love reading about them all. Spearfinger has always fascinated me.

The legend of Spearfinger is a Cherokee folktale about a shape-shifting witch named U'tlun'ta who lived in the mountains of Tennessee. She was said to have a long, sharp finger on her right hand that she used to stab people and pull out their livers.

Spearfinger was feared by the Cherokee people, and they told stories about her to warn their children to stay away from the woods. One day, a young Cherokee hunter named Tsali was out hunting when he came across Spearfinger. She disguised herself as an old woman, and she tricked Tsali into helping her carry her basket.

When they were in the woods, Spearfinger attacked Tsali and tried to stab him with her sharp finger. Tsali fought back, and he eventually killed Spearfinger with an arrow. However, Spearfinger's blood was poisonous, and Tsali died soon after.

The Cherokee people were grateful to Tsali for killing Spearfinger, and they buried him with honors. They also built a stone monument to him, which can still be seen today in the Great Smoky Mountains.

The legend of Spearfinger is a reminder of the dangers of the woods, and it is also a story about courage and sacrifice. Tsali's willingness to fight Spearfinger even though he knew he would die saved the Cherokee people from a terrible threat.

Here are some additional details about the legend of Spearfinger:

Spearfinger's real name was U'tlun'ta, which means "the one with pointed spear" in Cherokee.

She was said to be able to change her shape, and she often disguised herself as an old woman or a child.

She was also said to be able to move boulders and rocks with her mind.

The Cherokee people believed that Spearfinger was a punishment from the gods for their sins.

The legend of Spearfinger is still told today in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Another version of the tale includes a hunting party and a chickadee. The Cherokee were fighting U'tlun'ta and not having any luck. A chickadee landed on the wrist joint of Spearfinger, just below the pointed edge. Tsali shot an arrow through the wrist, which is where Spearfingers heart was, and killed her.

Regardless of the tale or version, Spearfinger represented a very real fear to the Cherokee nation.

I'm Doing Great i say before proceeding to work out which of my TTRPG's characters are actually blood related to him based on my HC of which of the race's heritage they are because his parents got that polycule situation going on and there *has* to be at least one that isn't a full sibling right. there's 4 parents and 7 of them there's no way all of them are half/full blood sibling right.
