If you’re privileged to live near any movie theater currently showing Netflix’s Tick… Tick…. BOOM!, JUST GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE AND GO SEE IT!!!!
Yes it’s going to be out on Netflix online soon but don’t watch it on your tiny phone screen!!! Or laptop!! Or whatever inferior to the real cinematic experience!!!!!!
It. Was. Amazing. It was beyond what I’d expected. Only in good ways.
Thank you Netflix. Sorry for canceling my subscription because I have other streaming services. But I definitely will subscribe again only if you don’t exclude Star Trek Discovery from Netflix Japan
Thank you this movie theater franchise (“ew franchise?” shut up Lucas, it’s actually a good cinema) who kindly selected the theater in my area to screen it for a week or probably more.
Thank you Lin Manuel Miranda. I’m sorry for not having seen Hamilton yet and saying negative things about you. But do you still hate b**tlegs? And I see you sneaked an ITH movie homage.
Thank you who wrote the screenplay who I believe also wrote the original DEH stage libretto (sorry forgot your name but Steve Somebody. I’m on my way home and can’t google it)
And.
Thank you Jonathan Larson.

I finished Tick Tick Boom libretto and then reread the monologue before the song Why. I remember when I saw Yousuke Ichiwa, a talented actor I’d seen for the first time, performing this part alone on the small stage with the minimum set and props. I remember I clearly saw the sight of Jon running through the city after he was told the fact about his best friend.
It was surely one of the best moment I’ve ever experienced in live theatre.
Spoilers below:
