Feeling every possible level of awkward and fucking wrong, Mav was doing his damnedest to "run into" Seamus' daughter Isabella. As his cover Linnaeus of course, timid and not all that much older than her, it still... How did you even talk to teenagers?

OOC ;
So as many of you have noticed, I have not been on this blog in awhile, mainly because I’m still dealing with rl shit. Plus, garrus kind of went bye bye, sadly. It’s hard to keep up with the mass effect fandom when it is like dead, basically. Aaaaaaaaaaand star wars has kind of taken over my life so this blog and the others are on hiatus. Perhaps I’ll have more of a drive after andromeda comes out but right now, no.
I love you all. See you on the other side.

Velox turned and gaped a little when he saw who it was. "Tavi?" he laughed light heartedly. They really did ran into each other everywhere. - from turianspeedjunkie in response to the open
Tavi blinked, then grinned wide, laughing just a little.  “Huh.  Didn’t figure I’d run into you here... You live this side or something?  Or am I asking directions from another lost guy?”

Siska had bought down all the blankets and pillows he could find. He wanted Cato to be able to build a proper nest, it had seemed important to the boy. So he put them all on the bed and went into the shower. Only stopping long enough to pull Cato into his arms on the way there, and give him a long kiss. He couldn't get those tones out of his head and Siska did a deep dive among his memories as he stood in the shower, cleaning off today's mishap.
He found it in a box he'd stashed away, labeled private, secret, dreams. The first time he told Dius he loved him.
Siska came out of the shower a few minutes later, got into the soft clothes Cato had put out for him. Face deep in thought, he padded on soft feet out to see what the boy had built.
......
Siska had more blankets and pillows than Cato would have thought and at some point, he promised himself, he'd go see what other neat things were in the attic. But not now. Now, he was busy arranging said pillows and blankets.
He fluffed the pillows to make them softer and made sure that only the softest blankets were near the center of the nest where they would lay. Cato purred to himself as he worked, making everything perfect and comfortable and just right. He'd never made a nest to share before, not in the same context. He'd made them with friends and family, little places to curl up and nap or just snuggle and talk.
This nest was different though. It was to show Siska that he loved him.

Outside, in the safety of Siska's enclosure, Cato had found the perfect spot to sunbathe. It was on that rock where he and Siska had watched the sunrise, and at midday, even at this depth the rock itself was sun warmed. Cato purred to himself and watched fish swim by overhead.

Dius took that shower, taking the time to enjoy it and get really clean. Feeling the remnants of the hangover it was really nice. And they could take the time today, there wasn't anything to rush towards, and letting it take couple of days until they met with Seamus again, effectively continuing their investigation, was the smart thing to do. Dius got out of the shower and after getting dressed, he booted up a datapad to keep reading through all the files they'd uncovered the other day. Just in case there was some other clue in there. And as he read, he started preparing breakfast. Even though it was probably more like lunchtime right now.
When he woke, Mav had no idea how long he'd been asleep. Or where his clothes had gone because he'd gone to sleep dressed- Oh. Oh, never-mind, he remembered now. Holy fucking Spirits. Him and Dius, the floor and sucking him and-
And subspace. Dius had put him in subspace. Mav stared at the ceiling for a little while and tried to process that. The last person had been Eryian. Mav didn't necessarily want to process that right now. He hoisted himself out of the bed on wobbly limbs and headed to shower.

Back at the apartment, Mav kicked his shoes off and shed the sweater he'd pulled on. "You want a drink?"

Walking through town at dusk meant putting on his role again. Linnaeus and Rogal out on their evening stroll, hand in hand, like every night. Appearances to be kept and so on. Never mind that Mav kind of liked holding Dius' hand, he kept that to himself. Or as much to himself as his lightly fluttering mandibles allowed him to.

@turianspeedjunkie “Huh?” Dius looked up, towards the bathroom door. “Yeah euhm… Sure. Whatever.” Shit. He had to snap out of this. Dius shook his head and threw the t-shirt onto the jeans. It wouldn’t matter, it didn’t matter. It wasn’t a big deal. No one cared what Mav was wearing… And still he couldn’t quite shake the uncomfortable thing that sat at the top of his spine.

Mav rinsed himself of soap and then stepped out of the shower. He grabbed the towel and wrapped it around his waist after he dried off his fringe. Then he meandered out of the bathroom to see Dius standing by the bed. An old t-shirt and an even older pair of jeans next to it. "That works," He hummed, letting the towel fall so he could dress, flicking a grin over his shoulder at Dius. "I left you some hot water. I think anyway."

Cato felt his mandibles drawing in without his conscious say-so. If he’d been on land, actual land and not in an environmentally controlled habitat, he’d had just thought a sudden dimming of the light was a cloud passing in front of whatever sun. But under Kahje’s Great Encompassing, inside an environmentally controlled habitat, the sudden dimming couldn’t be that. Still, Cato found himself looking up as if looking for the sun and trying to spot passing clouds. He didn’t see any, he just saw darkening ocean.
“...Siska!” He trilled.

“I can’t remember the last time I had to pick a lock,” Mav whispered over his shoulder, his attention otherwise focused on the numerical padlock in his hands. “Half the time folks leave combination the same as it was comin’ out of the box, but mostly-” It fell open finally and Mav grinned, showing it to Dius. “-they just set it to four-three-two-one.”

He might have preferred to break in at night and crack the computer by force, but Dius’ plan was more in line with their cover. They’d just go and talk to Lina about potential work and then at some point, he’d stash the little emp to activate remotely later. Effective, yeah, but not near as fun.

Mav flicked his mandibles in a little grin, playful at the edges as he wiped his hands on the rag hanging from his belt. He was thinking about twisting the rag up and using it to strike Dius’ backside. But he knew if he did he’d likely get a face full of the mortar they were using to spot fix the foundation of the house. The house Murk had singled out for them. Not one he’d built, or they wouldn’t already be having trouble with the edge of the foundation, but one of the ones yet to be claimed by the other people in the settlement. One not torn to pieces inside by the pirates a few weeks ago, one of few... Mav’s mandibles shifted and he let the rag fall to hang.
