a couple hundred years into the reaper business lup starts aggressively pushing for kravitz to retire and spend time with taako etc etc and it eventually surfaces that she realized how cool it'd be to title herself the queen of hell

"this isn't hell," kravitz clarifies for the 1007th time(he counted) but lup flippantly waves him off for the 1008th time.

"wouldn't the raven queen technically be the queen of hell?" barry interjects. lup turns toward him with a frown most betrayed.

"how can you side with him, babe?" then, completely brushing the grave betrayal aside: "also i asked and she said she's the queen of death, which, metal as hell. AND she said that if I manage to make kravitz retire i get to call myself, and i quote, 'whatever the fuck i want'."

"she never said i could call myself the king of hell," kravitz pouts. (he never asked)

lup eventually does crown herself the queen of hell. she materializes an incredibly cool dress for the occasion. taakos a little miffed that he has to attend what is essentially another blupjeans wedding(Barry's not super on board with being the King of Hell™ but was eventually won over by the drama of it all), but he gets over it as he realizes it's a perfect excuse to make an obscenely large cake. the raven queen attends. she's got a little silver brooch with 'queen of death' written in cursive on it. she gifts a similar one to lup, who denies crying despite many eyewitnesses.
