The way I cackled when I saw your hashtag about Tara (> your post about S9 so far) because yes exactly !!! I wish I could have known when I watched it the first time too because GIRL! How are you one of the worst characters of TeamFamily, have one of the most boring and lowest-rated episode of the show AND are gonna have an attitude towards Michonne. If you don’t get out of my face !!! When what happens happens..ngl, her being amongst them almost made me ready to defend Alpha a bit cause…
(Side note about that moment tho: Haven’t seen it in fiftyleven years so I could absolutely just be forgetting somebody… time just does not help the fact that it was not that memorable in the first place 😬… I think Tara is the character up there that the audience has known the longest and well… like you said, for some of us, it was definitely much more good riddance than sobbing 🤷🏽♀️… and most of the others are characters we met about 2secs prior… Why they thought this would hit is still absolutely baffling to me)
Glad you enjoyed my commentary 😌
And not gonna lie, I definitely teared up because one of the fallen was the older lady from Hilltop whose son died and then she and her husband adopted the baby that Alpha was gonna sacrifice to the walkers.
(... that sentence and description is BONKERS. This show is wild.)
Outside of that, eh. Enid made me a little sad because of sentimentality and I liked seeing how she was growing into more of a leadership role, but all in all 🤷🏾♀️
I will say the cinematography and the score were well done. I can tell they were going for a ✨moment✨ but it didn't land as hard for me, mainly because by this point I was just annoyed at all these kids not having any type of sense or spirit of self-preservation.

them having negan just walk out of prison only to show him drinking mysterious water and then immediately cutting to him throwing it up is the funniest way to show him being pathetic now

someone needs to tell Angela Kang what a redemption arc is because it's not "actually he's totally fine and chill and everyone is overreacting,"

Really interesting to note that in S9 Ep13 ‘Chokepoint,’ Henry was stabbed in the same place that Benjamin got shot at (in S7 Ep13 ‘Bury Me Here,’) both on the same side of their leg, while the bullet hit an artery in Ben’s leg, causing arterial bleeding that caused him to bleed out while Henry getting stabbed by the knife didn’t hit his artery, though there was a lot of blood, but not enough to be potentially deadly, they were also able to stitch it up when Henry, Daryl, Connie, and Lydia got to Hilltop. I just think it’s interesting and was wondering if anyone else noticed that. Also, I miss the potential that Ben and Henry had that the show wasted, they could have been such badasses... anyways, I was just watching S9 Ep13 and had that thought so I went back and rewatched S7 Ep13 and saw the similarities and wanted to put it down.
