A war memorial with a difference - this one has a view of Conisbrough Castle. The memorial lists the names of those who lost their lives in WW1 and WW2. You can find a full list of the names which appear on the memorial via the IWM website. St Albans Clock Tower, built between 1403 and 1412 has been claimed to be the only remaining medieval town belfry in England. 🕰 ‘A mediaeval belfry almost unique in England, it contains a large curfew bell dating from 1335. The adjacent french row was occupied by the Dauphin’s troops in 1216.
