thinking about the crack au i had in the depths of a dream once where Adrien was the frontman of One Direction, Marinette was Y/N in the front row reading a book (with the sole intention of making Adrien think she wasn't like other girls)...

...and Claudia was the person who set off a bomb backstage so she could steal lots of 1D's personal belongings without getting caught (and hopefully make millions), but who happened to briefly take Adrien as a hostage at one point and that basically NLOGs her harder than Y/N ever could so he's infatuated.

UNBURIED AND MARRIED - Part 2

It was chaos. The mere second the realization has truly set in, the group rushed to make calls. Madame Sancoeur was the first to be told, naturally, as she was the sole beneficiary of the Agresté Estate. His cousin Felix didn't care much for the news, other than snidely noting that he apparently "was certain the bastard didn't actually die". Chloé was already on a jet back to Paris to see the invitations for herself. And Marinette... did not take the news well at all, but that was really the least of anyone's concern at the moment. Every call was different, every voice a different tone, with but one connection; April 23rd, April 23rd, that was the mantra of the hour. Do you have any plans for April 23rd? Are you free to make it to Lyon?

"This is ridiculous!" Chloé Bourgeois gasped, turning over her own invitation: She was addressed the "cop and robber" card, which she kept turning over in her hand with increasing intensity. "He's been gone for years and this is how he treats us? Inviting us like nothing ever happened?"

"To be fair, Chloé," Nino—who had appointed himself leader of this impromptu committee—replied, "It's not like there was ever a funeral."

"That's because everybody who could've put on a funeral was already fucking dead, Nicolas!" she exclaimed. "...Well, I guess it was only confirmed with his dad. Would Emilie have faked it too?"

No answer. Nobody knew Emilie better than Chloé had, anyways, so if she wasn't sure then the whole room was shit out of luck.

"Well, either way I can't go," she sighed curtly. "To think one of my best friends rises from the dead to get married, and it's during Berlin Fashion Week. Ridiculous."

"Well, I just called Marinette and Alya," Alix added. "They also can't go, so you're not the only one."

"Why did Marinette decline?" Nino asked, before remembering he already knew the answer far too well. "Right." He leaned further back into his living room couch, staring patiently at the remaining invitations on his coffee table. "I might be busy that time in April as well, I don't know. You can't exactly take off long hours when you're running a tech start-up, can you?"

Alix took another large swig of their drink, commenting "I wouldn't know, I've never wasted money like that before."

"Alix Kubdel, you are unemployed. You don't even earn enough money to waste!"

"Well excuse me if I'm someone who understand the value of having free time, Miss Bourgeois!"

Unbeknownst to her, that remark was what cemented it: The first person to RSVP with an emphatic "yes" would be the punk by the name of Alix Kubdel. Until anyone else spoke up, she would be tasked with noting down absolutely everything that went on at the wedding. So much for "free time" indeed.
