Anyway, for the 'Bad beginnings AU' I was wondering, what would happen during the Ghost marriage event? Cause personally I like to think that Yuu totally wins the 'Composition' I think this is how it goes:

Eliza: STUPID, ALL OF YOU ARE IDIOTS!

Yuu, being pushed to the front by Crowley: Uhmmm, Madam Eliza. If I may, I don't have a kingdom, a wolf or a castle, but I'm here to ask you, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart, will you marry me?

Vil: They'll blow it-

Eliza: Hmmmm, YES!

Yuu was trying their best to not be kicked out of the only place they could sleep, bc seven know the headmaster wouldn't provide another room and all seven dorm leaders are dieing for the chance to have them in their grasp and lord knows very well Yuu couldn't take more of their daily weird bullshit than they already take

So if what it takes to stay in their only home is negotiating with... ghosts... great....

"Look what a second! Please! Listen! I-"

"NO MORE WAIT! Our princess needs her room for our stay to her wedding! She has waited too much already!"

As the time comes for the boys to storm in the weeding, Yuu makes sure the preparation and food is editable for the groom, wich means, Idia, trapped as he may be, is having the most stressful evening of all time, for his crush looks like a servant... and by the seven they look so good and proper and this is the longest they both have been alone... together

It's silent, mostly at least, Yuu cleans and, most times, tries to make themselfs useful, even if the ghosts already did all there is to do, and then there was Eliza... oh dearest ghost princess, sweet and kind, even if she's a little bit too obsessed with the idea of a perfect prince

The stories Yuu hears are of her past, of loves never blossoming and kindness ever lasting. And the few interaction they had had been... good.

For running and felling always watched, with Eliza they felt almost at peace, so a bit of their true personality shines at her presence, tired, hardworker, soft, and so much more

And Eliza... she takes such a liking to Yuu, they speak as in fear of anger, wich makes them clearer in their words, and their eyes, tired eyes screaming gratitude at her, as if she's a goddess of eternal mercy, her subjects always said she was/is such a kind person, but they have always lived in her reing, not knowing hardships of another ruler, Yuu whoever... Yuu confirms to her, how her kindness is true... so much alike... a love of a servant to their mistress...

And Idia, he's in awe, he saw it, shining brighter than any star, rarer than any character he has wished for, Yuu's smile... oh he wishes he had a cellphone, he wishes the ghost apearence didn't interfere with the cameras, he prays to hear their laugh... but the burning feeling of jealousy... Eliza... not only is she trying to speared him of Yuu but she... the glimmer of want... he knows it well, as a distorted mirror in a sweet face, she wants Yuu... wants them as he and many other wants them... and... she has them...

That smile was never show, never seen, never existed to any others after Yuu had finaly understood how things work at school, too soon for any of them to see their true self... but Eliza... merely a day has passed and she has already cracked them... a smile... Idia wonders... if he accept the proposal... would Yuu came too?

They were there...

The boys saw at the right side of the so famous Ghost Bride, Yui hasn't been seen I'm campus for a day, they tried to argue with headmaster about the insue, to unburden them and scearch for the poor magicless handyman of the school... but there they are...

Proper, quiet, servant of Eliza, and desire of thousands... oh how lovely how cruel, how... perfect. Why act, if it can be true? They glanced at Yuu at every sentence, a clearly attempt to signal to them, this can be us, this will be us... can you picture it Yuu?

Oh Idia is fuming, he knows what they are doing, each and every single one of them were rejected, Yuu continues silent during it all, eyes downcast, but then... he felt something droping in his hand, small, cold... circular. A whisper in the loveliest sound made his spine tremble "propose"

His breath was rapidly, his face contorted in a frown only to hold the panic and euphoria inside... Yuu smelled like lavender, their hand harsh from work but in their head such a cleaver being... how can he let Yuu down? Not after that... not after he felt Yuu's breath in his neck and hand in his even for a brief moment

"T-that's not fair..."

"Oh? Did you said something love?"

"I mean-Shouldn'tIproposetoo?"

"What?"

"Princess, I think your prince has been overtaken with jealousy" Yuu interfered, bowing gently and placing their hand in Idia's shoulder, if they felt him tremble they didn't say "Perhaps letting him propose would quell these feelings"

The whole hall echos with "WHAT???"

"has he accepted his fate?"

"ARE YOU TELLING ME WE WASTED TIME AND EFFORT FOR NOTHING?! "

"I... never understood how someone in the real world could make the kinds of actions Videogame characters did so flawlessly in games. The shout frightens all, Idia drops the ring, only for Yuu dive fro it grabbing the princess hand and sliding it into the proper finger "sorry"

"At least the headmaster didn't lie about it... this ring realy does send the ghosts back..." turning to Idia Yuu gives him a sheepish smile "you did great... Idia Shroud was it?"

He can't stop replaying that smile over and over again in his mind... it was for him...

I'd like to think that Micky Mouse, the poster mouse for all that is good in the world, would see what nonsense bb!Yuu has to going through at NRC on the daily and would try to cheer them up as best he can. Even offer to lending a ear to hear the overworked handyman struggles if they would want someone (or some-mouse in this case haha ) to talk too, even if its for a little while.

BB Yuu probably think it's a hallucination of stress so why not just talk with this... mouse...

Yuu: sure hallucination I ate waffles and got beaten up by some students before one of the boys arriving and then they asked me to pay up the "graciousness" they showed... I no longer eat waffles

Leona: a bit of pity, but not realy, they become an inconvenience, but at the same time, are the only one who could see pass his lazy facade, Leona finds then intriguing now, an interesting toy who can last longer

Azul: Haha say sike, he's absolutely annoyed by Yuu, trapping them in a contract was hell on earth, they literaly are detached from any bonds with anyone so he can use them, they have a shitty life but are way smarter now and it's hard as fuck to get to them, so he is annoyed as fuck, and then this cat and louse chase becomes the most thrilling thing of all time to him, after Yuu finaly got into his deal trap and all their attention was into him, he becomes addicted to Yuu's gaze only on him

At first I was uninterested towards BB AU because I don't like evil or angst cruel stuff but the more I read it. I'd like to see how it goes but man it do be painful.

So how does Chapter 5 work here? I doubt the VDC Group would stay in the Ramshackle Dorm because Crowley ain't fixing it, unless someone decided to pay for it to be furnished without Yuu's knowledge or as a gift for Yuu. Does Yuu not enter the audition room to watch or they watch from the otherside of the window while cleaning Pomefiore Dorm? Would the beach scene with Epel not occur? It does but Yuu takes Deuce stead causing Epel also start having a Yandere obsession as well? Does Yuu also become manager as well? Even I don't know if the part where Malleus fix the stage occurs. Unless Yuu was given an extra VDC ticket to invite others but knows no one to give it to then Lilia barges in and recommends a friend of his that never gets invited a lot (not mentioning Malleus). Yuu feels skeptical and could guess it's Malleus but decides to give them an invitation even knowing the consequences. They're done with this, they're ready for what's coming

That's so many questions and thoughts

First things first I want you to know how touched I am, bc you specifically said you didn't like cruel aus and even tho you read, probably by curiosity, and then you got invensted and for some reason that made em feel like I'm doing a good job so thank you so much??? I don't even know how to explain it??? Just ( ;°;)

And second: I am VERY SORRY for the LONG WAIT IN THIS ONE

So, remember how chapter 4 is before 5 and Kalim goes Yandere for Yuu there? Yup, Kalim offers to pay for a reform in Ramshackle, wich Yuu partially agrees, just the most serious things got fixed like the roof, Yuu would be happy with only their room being in good condition but Kalim insisted in reforming some more bc sleepover he's dieing to suggest

Early mornings were always a blessing in NRC, when the students were too groggy to care about their surroundings, when the headmaster was mostly found in his office, when teachers were only preparing their classrooms, when the sound of birds were Yuu's only companions

Today Pomefiore was the dorm assigned to Yuu's care, it's one of the friendlier dorms, for what Yuu most got from the students was a snobbish look and nothing more, but it's always a breathtaking to see it's walls and garden shine in the early morning sun

They swept and cleaned until the floor shined, finally taking a break as the first busy hour of the day started, as they rested a boy with lavender hair passed running by, he looked extremely tired and angry, but that's noone of their business is it? No. It isn't.

They lie to the hunter anyway...

Rook: pardon me but, have you seen a boy passing by in a hurry?

He approached from behind, quietly as a cat and Yuu is sure his intention was to scare them, poor guy should have tried that before Azul's overblot, Jade made sure Yuu knew how to perceive someone's presences now, by... prolongued experiencing it

Yuu: wich one? Many students seemed to wake late today y'know

The boy's eyes narrow, a glint of something more, something dangerous lured behind his smile, and Yuu knew they attracted the attention of someone they shouldn't, he already knew the truth didn't he?

Rook: is that so? A purple haired one perhaps?

He leaned in closer, watching and memorizing every inch of Yuu's presence

Yuu: yeah,but I don't know where he went tho, didn't pay attention

Yuu holds his gaze, instinct screaming to look away, hide, run, get away from the hunter

Rook: AH! That's why you look so familiar! You are the magicless janitor aren't you? The one who lives at the Ramshackle dorm?

Yuu: what about it?

Rook: you see, there's an event, VDC, that's going to happen in the school, a talent show if you will, and our dorm leader, you might have heard of him, Vil Schoenheit, is in desperate need of a place for our team to train, would you be so kind to let us stay at you dorm? Just dor a couple of weeks! Promise we are very well behaved!

Yuu: look dude, even if I could let you, the dorm is called Ramshackle for a reason, trust me it's easier to gain an injury there than to bound with your friends

Rook: but we could help you! We could do an easy fix in the basic needs and stay, please, just dor some days!

Yuu is tired, they have more tasks to do than to refuse this guy's request to sleep in a old dorm

Yuu: look... I-

The playful nature that surrounded the Hunter minutes before vanished in a blink of an eye, he leans closer and whispers

Rook: I suggest you accept my offer so you can get on Vil's good side before even meeting him trickster, I ask, not demand, a no is welcomed anytime, but for him... trust me, you do not say no to the queen... I could very well say you recovering for our precious Jewell to escape his morning practice so easily, and you don't wanna see him mad do you?

Yuu shuts their mouth, no is not an answer... then again... when do they choices even mattered in this school to beggin with? They smile bitterly looking at their feet hanging by the bench

Rook: wonderful! Thank you for your support Yuu! See you next week!

Epel couldn't belive his ears, they were hiding him

The magicless human of NRC was sticking their neck out for him and they didn't even talked

He... couldn't help but fell guilty when using that to his advantage, leaving Yuu behind alone with Rook

He would come back he just... needed a break... they would understand it right? Surely

As for Vil well... he watched it all happen form his windown, Yuu's quietly working, Rook's treat and Epel's retreat, he would be lieing if Yuu didn't intrigued him

Their resilience of the rumours and bulling is something he admired if we're being honest, being an actor came with a price and Vil could recognize a diamond in the rogue like them

He did planed to introduce himself... eventually... if his schedule permitted, there's just something about the magicles handyman that just... calls to him

And when Rook said they accepted their stay at their dorm? well... his genuine smile did put off some students during his classes

Yuu had to deal with Kalim, Jamil, Rook and now Vil's yandere asses while they stayed and... let's just say... things turned a little bit diferent

Yuu wasn't a manager, nor a member of the dance team,but they did always watched them train, the janitor of NRC saw how strict their routine was and how hard all member were dedicating themselves

So when Epel snapped and ran, they decided to help, as a stand in

And when Vil got away in the middle of Neige's performance? A chill ran down their spine... Kalim's behavior didn't help, him and Jamil tried to get out with Yuu before Vil's overblot ... but Yuu...

Blinding rage boiled in Vil's veins as Rook took the poisoned apple juice, he vold strangle him right now and watch as the life faded from his eyes even before the curse took effect in the hunter... if it wasn't for Neige's presence he wouldn't be conflicted on wich end first

Liquid poured from his eyes, what he could only think be tears... fainted in black and then- a slap in Rook's hand

Yuu: YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!

The human's eyes burned intensely at the Hunter's, fury, exhaustion, fear and... hurt, all danced in their face, their attention shifting from him and Vil and then Neige, who was still standing there

Yuu pushes Rook aside and goes to Vil but... it has already started

"DON'T LOOK AT ME"

As Kalim entered the scene Yuu pushed Neige to his direction screaming for them to get out

Rook drags Yuu along as Vil overblots

Minz what if instead of expelling Ace and Deuce crowley just made them like Heartslabyul butlers or something. Way worse since they could bully Yuu and blame them for the incident that lead them into being servants for Heartslabyul. They can barely attend class and gets bullied by everyone.

It's Sloth again, back with another long ask, sorry 😅

This is something I'm using in my story, but I want to share (because it's fun) and get an opinion on it. I usually get my sister's opinion on this type of stuff, but I haven't gotten her into Twst sadly :(

Now anyway. It's a sad concept, it gives off some heavy hurt/comfort vibes.

Let's say, Yuu used to have a twin back in their world, but their twin died one way or another when they were about 11. The Leech twins remind Yuu of their twin and so they tend to avoid the Leech brothers because of the sad memories. The twins, thinking Yuu is just afraid of them or something don't think much of the avoiding. However, eventually the two of them (and/or Azul) find out and are just... shocked.

I haven't figured everything out yet, but I can imagine something like this. Azul offers "anything" Yuu wants in exchange for whatever he is aiming to get from them. Yuu, who is slightly angry at Azul for trying to make a deal with them (this is probably before Azul's overblot), doesn't bother with beating around the bush and asks this:

Yuu: Can you bring back the dead?

Azul: What?

Yuu: Can you bring back the dead.

Azul: N... No.

Yuu: Then what I want is not within your grasp. Have a nice day, Ashengrotto. *leaves*

And thus Azul's and the twin's curiosity absolutely skyrockets. They have so many questions;

"Who do you want to dring back?"

"Were they a family member? Or a friend? A lover?"

"How long have they been gone?"

All these unanswered—and frankly insensitive—questions just make them want to find out more.

(Btw, my story is an octa trio x oc, so yeah)

And not to mention all of the new friends Yuu has gotten in Twst, when would they find out? How would they find out? So many questions.

I have a lot more to say about this but I'm limiting myself, hah...

(This is a little long, so I apologize)

I was gonna use this in my own story but I'm probably never gonna post it anywhere, so I thought I'd share my ideas :)

At one point in my life I think I remember hearing about how some castles have secret passages for servants to use to get around without being seen by their masters or guests, I don't know if this is actually true or not but just imagine the potential for NRC.

The school has secret passages that no one knows about, not even the sly/sneaky students like Rook or the twins (Crowly would probably know because he's headmaster).

But just imagine if Yuu found out? That would make their life SO much easier, like maybe walking from A to B would be a 15 minute walk normally, but with the passageways it would cut it down to like 2 minutes or something. Personally if I was in that situation I wouldn't tell anyone except maybe Crowly (he could tell you more about them) and Grim (it would be a crime to hide it from him), because do you know how funny/useful that would be?. Maybe there's even a passageway from Ramshackle to the main building.

Imagine—

Rook stalking watching Yuu: *He looks away for like 5 seconds, looks back and Yuu is just GONE. Poof. Disappeared.*

Rook: !?? Trickster???

*Being late for class*

Ace: Crap we gotta go or else– where is Yuu and grim!?

Ace & Deuce: *arrives at class late, sees yuu + grim already there* !?!!??!? How did you get here so fast!?.

A rumor spreads, saying that Yuu might have the ability to teleport.

*Yuu is just very careful as to make ABSOLUTELY sure that no one is looking*

Depending on who you think is the owner of the castle there could be 2 possibilities

1) Grimhide was the owner, she knows the secret passages and forgot about those, so when she notices Yuu vanishing she remembers and that becomes a Yuu/Vil secret passages, wich helps Vil with his busy schedule and guess what? TIME TO BOND BABYYYY HE HAS TIME NOW WHO WOULD HAVE IMAGINED?!

2) the castle is just a normal castle, so Yuu learned those passages when looking for a feral Grim, and when THEY OVERBLOTED GUESS WHO KNOWS THOSE PASSAGES NOW BC HE'S PART OF YUU'S SOUL?! CHERNA-FUCKING-BOG, he's so gonna use them with Grim, he literally knows so many secrets now, Yuu has a powerful ally in their side

Malleus, Vil, Riddle, Leona and Jamil live in castles, however only Vil and Jamil are aware of their secret passages, and yes, they were furious when Yuu discovered them, but soon changed their minds once they discovered there is more and Yuu found those, they have little adventure exploring those parts of the castles

Azul has some shortcuts in the area he lives in, they are dangerous shortcuts but useful nonetheless, he uses them with Yuu once, and Yuu found more when bored with Floyd, and with Grim they found a passage in Rielle's castle once they visited, this one Azul doesn't know yet

The underworld, I'll take inspiration from Supergiant's Hades, bc I like it, it's in constant change with little places staying the same, so it's almost impossible finding shortcuts and secret passages... almost... Yuu finds some when running around and learning about the nature of teh realm, Ortho teaches them some, Idia uses others, Yuu never ruinned on them when exploring bc the flamy hair gives away who is coming

Chernabog's mountain is full of tricks and passages that were never used to it's full potential... until a little human was brought by the demon

The meetings are happening in there,m it's only natural that Yuu knows many of those passages, they used to play with Grimm in them, and now... they play tricks in their new friends :) bnp Rook is dieing to know how they do that!

The seven know about all the passages in Ramshackle, after they grow found of this little human they tell them about those, and Yuu and Grim, began to search for them, now they know almost all of them at this point

Not only those of the school, oh no, they know the dorm's secret passages too, you can imagine them playing pranks on each dorm and getting away with that, not even Crowley knows about those

Blessed be however made those passages, Yuu needs them so much in here, yes, they may run in Grim and he may try to fry them but good seven it's so much better than being beaten up or... felling eyes everywhere

They try their best to never, ever, run by Crowley, those passages are too good for them, they aren't giving them up, NEVER

I came up with this at 3:00am, don't judge. (bad beginnings au)

Imagine RSA vs NRC some random contest and Yuu is forced to participate. They meet twst jasmine (I'll call him Jasam for now) and they become best friends. Like they hang out on the weekends, week-days every day basically. (Jasam starts going yandere for Yuu)

One day the boys see them hanging out, laughing, having fun, etc. Cue yandere jealousy. But Jasam ain't giving up until he gets what he wants, so he convinces the directer to let Yuu stay with them for 1-2 months at best. Yuu (obviously) agrees cause, come on. No one wants to stay somewhere where no-one likes them. Crowley agrees with Yuu's decision as long as it's for 1-2 months. Cue EVEN MORE YANDERE JEALOUSY

And then Yuu discovers the RSA boys are crazier, ah yes, nice and nice and then Bum! You aren't allowed to not pay attention to me or I'll play victim

NRC? Jealous? Ha! neverrr... they are breaking in RSA and acting like they always do this, what do you mean Yuu? It's not like they know your room or anything... anyway wanna go on a date stroll?

KALIM'S TRUE RIVAL

Octavinelle trio is the most worried.... they know Rielle is there and this boy falls and he falls HARD. And HE'S A PRINCE WITH A CUTE SMILE

Neige sweety... Vil is gonna kill you for real now, Neige will take Yuu on set if they ever desire just so they think he's very friendly and so kind!... and to shove it in Vil's face

If you think Chenya didn't had anything to say to it. THINK AGAIN! Boy loves Yuu's stay, he loves messing around with them in a friendly manner and he is bold, very bold, he'll say he loves Yuu in their face and with everyone present, don't care, will steal pice of comfortable clothes Yuu has, even if they are small to him, and wear it like a trophy

hahaha for the bad beggining au, lol i think both kalim and jamil would instantly be yandere towards yuu, like imagine yuu accidentally saves kalim at the right moment and place, but surprise yuu doesn't know about kalim being rich or his identity, and kalim starts to obssess over yuu, but with jamil under kalim's orders, the best option for him to use snake's whisper to find out about yuu's origin and learning the true reason of their predicament, and jamil projecting his issues on to them thus making him a yandere to yuu bc of how they never asked to have this happened to them, viper family being servants to the al-asims and yuu's forced servanthood to NRC, lol jamil being a manipulative and obsessive yandere and kalim being a delussional and obsessive yandere go burr

Yuu at this point is well aware of unique magics, and overblots, they have scars and a "job" at Sam's store, being able to buy little tickets to themselfs at least, and blankets, many blankets

After Leona's overblot most of their fisical bullies got scared and don't interact so much at plain sight, the streets are finaly being used by Yuu

After Azul's overblot they got many presents, a "compensation" for their trouble, Yuu sold most of them and asked Azul to cut the crap and leave them alone, they don't need those presents, they know very well that he would just use those for guilting them at some point

Those were the most drastical changes that Yuu noticed, the others were more... subtle, for them at least, Leona bumps into them often, and seems to prefers stiking near them when they have a task to clean some places, it's just silence and staring... much staring

The Leech twins always make time to bother Yuu at some point, mostly Floyd and his squeezes, when Jade tags along he usualy wears a knowing smirk, Yuu got used to their presence and refuses to put an effort to seems entertaining enough to them, Floyd quickly gets bored and that can end two ways, he gets aggressive or he just walks away, if Jade is there he stops his brother, if he isn't... well... at some rare occasions he just picks Yuu and throws them at mostro louge work or something...

Azul refuses to meet Yuu face to face after his overblot, he's fuming that Yuu is the one in charge of bringing him homework and sending reports to the headmaster, tho he does wish to see them at the lounge after he recovers, their presence wasn't that much of a bother...

That was just a quick summary of how things were going to Yuu, now, in canon Yuu met Kalim and Jamil at chapter 4, but we say fuck it, so it's almost winter break

You see, Yuu isn't a heroe, Yuu doesn't have the time nor mindset to help others at any given point, a student stumble over and his books falls? They just walk pass, if they can't clean room 5 by the next lunch break Crowley will lecture them gain, a student lost something? If they don't know were it is they don't stop to help the guy, they are just the silent and mysterious handyman of NRC

However... unbeknown to Yuu... they have a name, because Yuu may not help, but they are efficient and thick skinned now

One day a potion was clearly going to blown in Crewel's class, that day Yuu just happens to be Crewel's helper of the day, this wasn't the first time, and honestly be a teachers helper is way more interesting and less tiring than being the handyman, so Yuu listened, Yuu knew how Crewel organized the ingredients, Yuu separated the piles of corrected tests and read some right answers, and Yuu is too tired to clean the mess this is going to cause, so what do they do? They fix it

Crewel noticed almost too late, he shielded the students and Yuu, in the last moment, threw the right ingredients and started to mix them FAST, slowly the potion stabilizes and everything is fine.... except that teh students are in awe, this is the "useless and magicless handyman" they aren't suposed to know how to fix potions

In the other day Yuu saw a curse that went terribly wrong, it transformed a poor student in a giant beast, the student it was pursing threw them at said monster and Yuu knew they couldn't escape so what did they do? They made eye contact with the beast and stood in the hallway

Yuu realy didn't cared if they would die... but destiny said not today, the beast almost knocked the human, but it stoped at the last minute and stared at Yuu... Crowley arrived to a crowd of students filming and murmuring rumors, who's the new kid? Is that their unique magic? They saved that student, what is going on?

Yuu collapsed once the beast was under control, that was terrifying....

Yuu awoke at night time in the infirmary, they decide to head to Ramshackle

Meanwhile Kalim was held until midnight to a extra class with Trein, he realy didn't understand one thing that was being said din those books.... he realy should have waited for Jamil to pick him up, NRC at night is scary....

Everything had happened so fast, one second they met a friendly boy the other said boys is being kidnapped right in front of their eyes, and against all odds Yuu pursued them

They jump, and dive, and turn, and scale walls, the kidnappers are so quick almost too quick, but Yuu knows this grounds, Yuu can make a pretty good guess to were the bastard is running to so they make a leap of fate, taking the nearest shortcut adrenaline plumping their veins they run and run and jump

Kalim can't feel his legs, he doesn't understands were he is, but he knows what is happening, it has happened before... he hopes Jamil can get to him before his parents get the tiresome notice of another kidna- he's thrown in the ground, no, he isn't thrown, his captor feel

The boy feel worried hands turning him, they are kind and panicked, the face of the stranger he met mere moments ago, did they... did they come to help him? Realy? Why?

He still can't respond properly, but he knows he's in their back now, and they are running to somewhere... to Scarabia

Jamil was the only one that wasn't surprised by the attention skills of the mysterious handyman, no, he better than anyone always suspected the magicless human to be more than they let on, because he himself is in a similar position, don't be seen, don't be heard and let others think less of you so you don't get in trouble

He may have been planing interacting with them if he had any free time, it would be better if he could engage someone like him in his plan, or dispose of someone who could ruin it, he just didn't plan to it occur now and in this circumstances

A frightened strangers with a knocked out Kalim is their back enters in full speed in the main hall, they look terrified, Jamil's first instinct if to get to Kalim, he fakes confusion about who they are, but is a good host, after putting Kalim in bed he interacts with them, he learns about the captors, the run, the incidents and even gets some inside information about the overblots that are occurring in the school

It's very useful and he judges he made a great first impression, but nothing prepared him for Yuu's coments:

Yuu: Jamil Viper... oh! The guy with the unique taste for grades?

Jamil: what do you mean by that?

Yuu: I mean, I saw your tests, and I hear the teachers too, they say you have plenty of potential, but refuses to give it you all, but judging by your results it's realy weird, you are very precise with your answers and even more careful with your error, almost as if you know the right answer but doesn't wants a hight grade? I dunno it can be only my imagination too...

Jamil: ... you are... very attentive for someone who isn't even a student

Yuu: it gets boring being always confused, so I just overthink everything and try to understand were I am, doesn't seem like Crowley can get me home anytime soon anyway...

Maybe in magic but not at all useless, no, Yuu just proves to be in a very similar situation to Jamil, he sympathizes with them, but can't do much about it either, maybe they can be of a better use, yes, they met Kalim but they don't seem to know who Kalim is, or why he almost got kidnapped

It's a interesting evening, they don't know much about this world, very reclusive about their routine,but slowly they open, and soon enough they are playing games while Kalim recovers, Jamil doesn't notice that he let's loose

Yuu: I knew you were smarter than you let on

Jamil: ha, you don't even know this game, how can you possibly know what a good player looks like?

Yuu: because I lied and because your eyes shine like a pro when you are focusing on winning

Kalim awakens the next day and starts bumbling about the stranger that saved his life and how he wishes to meet them again, while Jamil wants to know more about Yuu, they little chat and game last night left him craving for a rerun... but that can wait a little bit more...

It's a sparkle that culminates in chapter 4, Kalim falls like a brick, he wants to be with them so bad, he wants to hold them and shower them in jewelry and them to pay attention to him, he wants those caring gestures again, he wants to fell safe,a nd he knows they want to fell safe again, he can provide that! He knows he can

Jamil falls slowly by the way Yuu treats him, Yuu sees through his bullshit and it infuriated and intrigues him, he empathizes with them and honestly hopes for a better future for them, he wishes he could do more to help them, he can't do anything for now, but he knows who can... he hates sharing, but is it sharing if he can make them fall for him first?

Riddle's mood is getting worse and worse, slowly he notices that a part of him misses the handyman, a little pet project of his own, someone to guide through the rules of the queen and through the rules of this world

He notices them around campus, walking and cleaning here and there, and then he notices how... alone they are... noone to come back to, staying in a ramshackle dorm haunted by ghosts and having to run around to find the headmaster, Riddle decided to observe, and he saw the growth

Yuu was faster than last time he saw them clean, they were learning the ins and outs of the school, they know proper greetings and talk to the paintings in their break, they are getting better at catching the annoying raccoon, and... and Riddle notices that he misses them

He misses the smal talk, the little snarky remarks, the misbehavior that was soon corrected, he misses their little game of "how far can I push the rules until you break"

He learned something with Yuu, that students will find loopholes to break the rules, he learned that you can talk back in a proper way enough not to sound vulgar, he learned that if you have a punish bag that would be back for you again and again you could teach a lesson to yours students without danger of involving the headmaster

He's sure they know it isn't serious, they have talked and learned so much about each other, this little punishments weren't because he wanted to, but he needed to make an example, and Yuu is... nothing... but not everyone knows that, so that make them the perfect candidate! Sure they knew that... so why... why did they leave...

It's no wonder that he overblots that day, but the surprise was... how relieved he felt the moment he saw Yuu... they came back... they did, he wasn't alone anymore, Yuu was joking... Yuu... Yuu understands him... he knows they do

The night he awakens Yuu is by his side, so he observes them, tired... so very tired and having nightmares... he can't comfort them from were he is, it's frustrating, so he focus on their face, the shape of the jaw, how their chest goes up and down, how their eyes flicker because of the nightmare, how the moon illuminates... what the fuck is the thinking of?????

Riddle is in denial mode until he heals, well... until his sense of duty can't be still for any longer, until then he demands Yuu's full attention, by the end of it I think he pass his denial fase.....

So, bad beggining au is inspired by a comic/douji/manga/what you may call a sequence of scenes draw by the jp part of the fandom that I found wayyy back, we didn't even knew what overblots were, you could say the concept didn't exist!

This guy made a story/"theory", it showed a what if Crowley didn't gave Grim and the gang a second chance, what if Crowely didn't realy cared in the beggining, so Ace and Deuce were expelled, Grim never became Yuu's roommate, and because Yuu felt so alone, they hadn't the chance to meet the others

In the end the school was a war zone, because nobody reached in and stoped the boys, Yuu found a way to send back in time a letter to Crowley, asking for him to "please don't give up on me, one more chance is all I ask" and that's why he send Yuu and the gang to get that crystal in the beggining

The AU is very similar to that concept for now, but without the time travel letter part

Pure angst or even yandere tendencies here and there

Yuu isn't a student and is pushed around even more by Crowley

Grim is jumping from place to place with a grudge against Yuu, bc he blames them for him not being able to enter NRC

Ace and Deuce were expelled the instant they broke the chandelier

Yuu is so exhausted that they slept trough Malleus introduction and didn't met him that night, so they know only the rumor about Malleus Draconia the dorm leader of Diasonminia, and can pice out things quicker than OG Yuu bc they aren't blind by a growing friendship, making them more cautious in his presence

Ramshackle will be broken during Yuu's stay bc Crowley doesn't pay them and don't plan to fix it either

Yuu is probably bullied by other NRC students, without Ace, Deuce and Grim by their side they are completely alone, the only friends are the 3 ghosts in Ramshackle and even them are mean sometimes

The most difficult task is handling the overblots, since the boys can die if they stay in that form, at least in OG twst, so I'm still thinking what to do, bc Yuu is very hurt in this one, their trust is and will be broken many times, they can't be the therapist or the leading hand in combat at least not without extreme conditions

Chapter 3 would be realy diferent bc Azul will have to elaborate another plan to catch Yuu's attention, no friends for them to care for, and honestly nothing to lose, only their dorm and that's what he wants to gain, he could have Crowley kick Yuu out but let them have this little mercy of the headmaster, he may be a even more incompetent dick in this au but he draws the line on letting the kid sleep in the cold outside

The bad beggining is because of that, it's a really hopeless beginning, not a bad end

Aaaaaaa the bad beginning thing made me feel sorta like... Te empty nest thing with Ace, Deuce, and Grim dbajsbak. It feels odd to think if an AU without them around, I'm so emotionally attached to these three idiots

That's the main reason I think it's very angst, bc Yuu is all alone! No friends to help or turn to

Without friends there Yuu is always in survival mode

It is cold in Ramshackle, that's the first thing Yuu learns, the second, there are ghosts, and they come and go as they please, no way of getting ride of them, even if Crowley did helped, but he isn't always around, in fact, he is never around

On the first day, Yuu had to chase the headmaster so they could discuss their situation, earning them the title of handyman of the school, and their first job? clean the streets...

Yuu never thought of seeing the raccoon again, and of course he would cause trouble, at least this time the headmaster made him help clean the mess

100 windows and even with help that seemed too much, and that help never arrived they and the monster cat had to chase the student, shenanigans happenend and by the end of the day two students were expelled, the monster cat was thrown away again and Yuu had to came back exhausted to a unwelcoming dorm

They wonder what became of the two boys that were expelled, one seemed so broken by that... it doesn't matter anymore does it?

The night was filled with cracks and shattered sounds, cries and laughter of people they can't see... Yuu didn't slept that night

Same thing as yesterday, clean the streets, clean the rest of the windows and be introduced as a erand child to the teachers, not too bad, just monotonous

Until... until the students noticed them that is.... it wasn't much, just some inconveniences, a nudge too hard, a broken broom, and the murmurs, a magicless student can't really be at a magical school, for the others perspective this is cheating, and people hate cheaters

As the days pass Yuu notices more and more students with the strange collar that stoped the raccon's flames days before, they wonder what is this strange felling of dread....

The answer is given in the day Yuu had to inform dorm leader Rosehearts of the next meeting by Crowley's demand, the boy doesn't want excuses to why they were late, nevermind that one of his students said it was a rule to paint the rose's before entering, nevermind that they had many errands to do, yeah, sure, go off I guess

As punishment for their late arrival, one more task was given, be a butler at the unbirthday partie, and as dorm leaders are figures of authority, what power does Yuu have to contest?

It was all fine, Yuu even got to get some snacks, until Riddle went... "mad"

So Yuu did what everyone did at the time, they ran, faster and faster, they can hear Riddle's roar in the distance, a body flys pass them, they ignore it

They cry... they hear, they know the whys and hows and the felling of wanting to go out but mother-..... they awaken to a destroyed garden and a Riddle painted in ink and blood

A cold runs their spine, they stomach sinks, they can't look away from the broken boy, at his feet is a older one with a clove in his cheeks, his chest goes up then dow, still alive...

Neither the dorm leader nor the magicless human move, they stare at each other, waiting for something... anything... then Rosehearts smiles and collapses

... Yuu can't remember how they got in the infirmary in the first place, everything is a blurr, the nurses pass them, they are fine... Trey is the boy who got it worse, Riddle is still passed out, and by the headmaster demands, Yuu is the one responsible for Riddles well being until he can finaly do it himself

Yuu had nightmares that night, they awaken jumping out of bed, holding their neck and gasping for air off with your head... Riddle is looking at them from his bed...

Hey!! Love Potion Anon from before!! I just recently finished the [ Wish Upon A Stars Event ], and I just realized since Grim uses the wish in OG!Timeline, what would Bad Beginning! Yuu's wish for? Would they wish for a way home or for some friends? I also had this angst idea that BB!Yuu wouldn't wish in front of others in fear that people would ridicule them for whatever they wished for. If asked they just say they wished Crowley would give them a pay raise.

Ohohoho that event was realy adorable!

The wishing star is for students

The movement had died in the school grounds this morning, the teachers weren't in their classes and only some staff members roamed around doing their own thing

Yuu soon found out why as they passed through the lecture hall, the "wishing start event", three students were chosen to be the stargazers of this year, and a wishing star was given to the students

Yuu was the handyman, not a normal student like the others, so they weren't surprised to not receive one

As the night of the event finaly arrived so did the rain, the event was canceled, few stars hanged in the tree, their blue light slowly fading away as the sky darkened and darkened, Yuu stood there wondering if any of those wishes came true, or even if they could came true

An unfortunate incident

The headmaster gave them a wishing star, he said it was a courtesy, they may not realy belive it would work but it doesn't hurt to imagine

Any wish would suffice, so Yuu just had to think of something...

But a "incident" happened, sure, most students don't belive in wishes, but it's a little pleasure that only students are allowed to have and Yuu isn't a student... they break the wishing star... Yuu doesn't bother to ask for another, they know the headmaster well enough at this point

Having thought of something they went to the nearest stargazer, only for a certain someone jump in, grab the wishing star and scream loud and clear "I WANT TO BECOME THE GREATEST MAGICIAN THAT EVER LIVED!" Gaining a vivid blue light, the star shined at his paws, his wish was heard

In the walls of Ramshackle

The event was canceled the day before, the stargazers stopped gathering wishes, the tree was empty and everythig was back to normal

But one wishing star remained at the hands of a little human

The sharp hedges danced in their hands, the light seemed to be sucked in the wishing star, dead was the only way to describe it, and as the storm continued outside, Yuu whispered, like a child confiding a secret to another

"I wish for peace... however may it come"

It remained as before, dark and empty
