17 and 13 for the littlest guy ever v πŸ«Άβ“
13. What's their relationship to their body? Self esteem? Self image?
Little V actually hates being called little (im sorry buddy!!), growing up on Heywood and being on the smaller, shorter side had a lot of drawbacks. He's come to terms with it as he grew up, especially since he figured how to make it a perk instead-- being small gets you in tight spaces and that's great for sneaking in and out--but his defensiveness and annoyance when he gets called 'small' or 'cute' stuck. He used to be pricklier about it pre-heist, privately wishing that people would think he's cool and how it'd be better if he physically looked more intimidating and how that'd help him get respect. After the heist he worries more about not being the one to wake up in his own skin to not be comfortable in it.
17. What little regrets do they have? If we're talking about a BIG regret he has, it's sending Jackie's body to Vik's, which caused Mama Welles to not have anything to even bury. He had sent Jackie to Vik because he didn't want Mama Welles to see Jackie's body that way, hoping Vik would manage to clean him up before calling both Misty and Mama Welles. Sure, nobody knew Arasaka would've scooped Jackie's body up, but it still eats at him that he's the one that made that call.
If we're talking about a smaller regret, it's a friend of his back when he was growing up in Heywood. She was pretty but not particularly smart, so she got roped into the wrong kind of company and joytoy work. He occasionally gave friendly advices such as 'uh, you really shouldn't just lend strangers money just because they said you'd be evil if you don't.' but otherwise he steered clear, worried he'd get roped into trouble and thought he'd be better off worrying about his own back. when she got a particularly nasty client who was on the Valentino's bad side, he didn't give her a heads up because he wasn't about to try and get killed for being a hero or something equally stupid.
She died not long after, clearly caught in the crossfire with her client behind her back. It had been a pretty obvious ending for her story but when he heard the news and stopped seeing her on her usual spots, he can't help but think it would've been less about trying to be a hero and more about trying to be human. Afterwards, he's a bit more open to risking a limb out to help people.
