ive tended to avoid mainstream rap/hip-hop, first bc i have very paranoid xtian parents and second bc i got to watch my older brother in real time get into gangsta rap and subsequently decide he was a gangster himself, and as it turns out both those things were quite traumatizing for me

but now having learned that music isnt so strong an influencer as many insecure folk like to believe it is i just kindof listen to whatever i come across, and if im being honest a lot of this "devil music" is just rather sad. both the kind thats being sincere and the kind made for posturing
