Ardbeg Whisky 25 y.o. 2021 Release
Ardbeg 25 Years Old is a remarkable single malt whisky from the famous Ardbeg distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. The 2021 release of Ardbeg 25 Years Old is particularly sought after and offers a unique tasting experience.
Ardbeg 25 Years Old is made from heavily peated, malted barley, which gives the whisky its characteristic smoky flavour. The water used in its production comes from Loch Uigeadail, renowned for its purity.
Ardbeg 25 Years Old is matured in ex-bourbon casks, giving it over a quarter of a century to develop its full-bodied and complex character.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Review by: dustbunna I’m not sure how many folks here were introduced to Ardbeg through the smash-your-face intensity that is Corryvreckan. Most seem to get their hands on the 10yr first, or fall in love with Uigeadail’s sweet-peat. (It’s also reviewed about half as often as the 10yr and Oogie.) Not so for me– Corryvreckan was my first love as far as Ardbeg is concerned. Several years ago, I was…

We are planning on going. Or more accurate.. was informed that we will be going 😂
I’m down for drinks author that would be fun. I’ll check how Ki’s socialmeter is 😂 And single malt scotch uh? Nice. I have a couple bottles on the collection. But you know what.. I had this Irish single malt few months ago that I really enjoyed i don’t recall the name perfectly I think it was something mills. I don’t remember.. anyways it was aged in bourbon and sherry cask and if I remember correctly was a 21 yr.. it was very good. Does it ring a bell? Anyways if you got any recommendations I’ll appreciate them I don’t know much about scotch honestly.
On another note.. I don’t know how to use this app. I’m old ok? I barely know how to use instagram.. but a guy reblog the post thing, and sent a gif..
Anyways.. My man who did the reblog..
Tumblr media
😂
Wait.. I’m stupid. Was that 🏀 ? No.. was it?
LMAOOO that’s how it goes🤣 and yes, down if ki is down! I think that’d be fun. Got any nice spots in town you suggest for casual meetups? I visited a ton of fun places with my friend when I went for Lollapalooza. And that was remmy, not 🏀 !! You’re okay, tumblr is definitely intimidating if you’re new to it.
For your drink, I’m pretty sure you had Bushmills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which, I’m jealous. Because I haven’t had it yet but I’ve heard good things. As for recommendations, I’d need to know if you’re down for peaty drinks (very smoky, reminds you of meats and fires.) Because the ones I like are peaty and don’t play around with flavors💀 i can elaborate on scotch when I’m more free (because i love it so much) but here’s some I rec from my shelf!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if you’re down for something challenging, the ardbeg uigeadail is my absolute favorite but almost everyone that I let try it does nottt enjoy it LOLOL but it’s 54.2% abv and unlike anything you’ve ever drank. I’d try it before buying.

5/8/24: Mixed Bag
I put the vape in the basement last night, and chewed 5 pieces of gum throughout the day. I went for a run in the afternoon, and felt halfway decent by the time I got back. I finished the homework that was due tonight. I had some vegetables with dinner, and took out the trash so I wouldn't have to worry about it tomorrow morning.
I also didn't initiate my ambitious schedule. I slept in til nearly noon. I watched Arrow way too much before finishing my homework, and not at all now that I have the theoretical freedom to do so. I received a barrage of texts from Zoe, got overwhelmed, and grabbed my bottle of Uigeadail and vape from the basement. I still have uncertainties in my mind about my relationship with Zoe.
I don't know where I heard it, but I have the schema in my mind of a typical "Final visit in a Long Distance Relationship" in which one last visit is made before fully realizing that the relationship must end. Not only is there the lack of excitement or happiness or even contentment at the prospect of seeing her, there is the presence of anxiety, tension, stress, apprehension. I have been hoodwinked by my biology and accompanying emotions, bonded to a sexual partner by intense emotional drama, and feel quite the fool for all that I have put myself through this past year.
Oh but you learned so much, didn't you? You've discovered your limits, you've grown wiser for your pain.
Have I? I do not know.
If I cast my mind back to the person I was precisely one year ago, I do feel decidedly wiser than that guy. I am no longer indulging in psychological analgesia without introspection, without awareness of the unsustainability of such a day-to-day existence. But compared to who I might have been if I had simply left that summer night and never looked back?
It is unproductive, foolish, never-ending to consider what MIGHT have been. What's done is done, and you must live with that.
But I must learn from my mistakes mustn't I? If I go to California and feel more exhausted than when I left, am I not faced with a difficult decision that ought to be made? For both our sakes? What good is sparing someone great pain if only even greater pain lies in the future?
...
I have reached the bottom of the glass and found myself significantly more maudlin than when I started.
Today was a mixed bag. Better than the past few days in many ways, no better than the past few days in others. But I would say that finally journaling two days in a row is a win. Makes me feel hopeful. Maybe if I can make one or two changes in a month, like running and journaling, just imagine what cumulative and beneficial changes I can make in twelve of them. I can't have had more than twelve things on my one year plan from last night, right?
I will try not to backslide too much in the last hours of my first decent day this week. I will try not to judge myself too harshly.

As an artist, 2021 has been the kind of year you hope for. Creatively, I feel I’m tapped in to that elusive zen where everything is coming together. Added to that, even though I don’t equate success with sales, I am incredibly humbled and grateful to say that a record number of my artworks were acquired this year. I can’t help but get a little misty eyed at the thought of folks liking my work so much that they want it in their homes. Thank you seems like such an understatement. So, as we come to the end of the year, I first and foremost wish to express my gratitude and will forever remember the kindness. I felt it was time to also time to award myself with the best. I feel I’ve earned it. 🔷 #2021 #grateful #thankyou #artistslife #paintings #internationalartist #contemporaryfineart #galleryartist #collectedartist #portlandoregon #portlandartist #portlandartgallery #ardbeg #uigeadail #fineartpaintings (at Milwaukie, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWb3_80vXET/?utm_medium=tumblr

(Not original picture, taken from Masters of Malt)
Ardbeg Uigeadail Islay Peated Single Malt Whisky
54.2% ABV
Dark-medium pilsner hue with very oily legs down the glencairn - almost unappetizing, I now understand why some add caramel coloring to their drams. Campfire and barbeque on the nose.
Taste like how you would think a malty, sherried, peated Islay would taste - rich, deep, salted caramel and campfire smoke. The peat is obviously in the center of everythint, but it is the briny malty sweetness that sets it apart from every other whisky I've ever tasted in my life. To use an analogue, this tastes like a less spicy Talisker, blended with a smokey Lagavulin, sprinkled with some wheater bourbon sweetness - amazing!
Very long, lingering finish all over the mouth, still campfire overall, with slight medicinal/iodine showing up for the first time since the nose
5/5 - PERFECT

Ardbeg Uigeadail 2016
Review by: ZoidbergOnTheRocks Finally, the last Ardbeg lurking in the back of The Scotch Cave, a good ol’ Uigeadail. A whisky buddy of mine knows how much I like to compare different vintages of Uigeadail and kindly slipped me this 2oz sample of a 2016 bottle. I’ll put it next to a bit of the 2003, which I consider the best one, and some 2020 which I think is a cracking recent version. I…

Ryen… I’ve read it twice now and I’m still speechless. Like there is so many fantastic and deadly pieces of dialogue in this that even thinking about them is wild. Dom is seriously one of my favorite oc characters I’ve ever read though. Also, Taehyung will never not be an entire mood, I laughed way too hard at the end.
This was absolutely wonderful and I just want to reiterate what some of your amazing readers have already said: thank you for your hard work. Enjoy your next resting period!
Also, haven’t had the pleasure of 12.2 but the the 12.1 is absolutely delicious. My mom got it for an award at work but she hates whiskey of any kind. Her win is my win 😂
Tumblr media Tumblr media
KAYYY thank you so much for all of these kind words oh god😭💕 you already read it twice?! Did you catch stuff on the reread that you didn’t the first time?👀 I will agree that some of the dialogue had me rolling in bed and Dom is my mf soulmate lolol AND TAE. KIM TAEHYUNG💀💀💀
Thank you for acknowledging the work, love🫂 this one was fun but it took some brainpower just like the others did. Especially figuring out how to combine the two holiday ideas together. But I figured out how to arrange things, it got smoother and smoother!
Omg.. that’s so exciting for you🤣 you get a whole Octomore to yourself?? What’s ironic is that I was most def reaching for our uigeadail in the end anyways LOL
