thinking about how ink's supposed archetype being the trickster archetype feeds his hypocrisy and contradictory character wonderfully

trickster characters are mischievous characters that challenge the status quo and cause unexpected events to happen

but ink doesn't challenge the status quo in the slightest, he actively reinforces it and only allows himself to make unexpected events happen while policing everyone else on what they can and cannot do

he would preach freedom all he wants, but he doesn't realize that him not doing anything to change things because of his 'it is what it is' mentality makes him part of the problem. the problem that is the source of all his misfortune.

#'ghost. will u ever shut up about those loser skeletons?'#um. no.#the thing is that. sans is undertale could truly just live his life detached from what's happening around him without issue #the player doesn't even need to befriend him like all the other characters to get the true pacifist ending #that's how detached and unimportant to the plot he is #but ink PUT HIMSELF in a position that makes him directly involve with the plot so he really can't run away even if he tries #guy of all times #anyways. had this in my drafts for a while now #got too embarrassed to post it.... then I remembered that I can do what I want forever #ink sans
