Big Physical Touch guy

When was the last time you received a hug. Not just any hug but a true genuine embrace. A hug that has no strings attached and is completely unconditional. A hug that wraps around you even though you may not deserve it.

Today I received one of those hugs from my brother. Let me tell you, it has been a very very long time since I received an unconditional hug.

Part of me is embarrassed to admit it but I am a big physical touch guy. Unfortunately I went through some traumatic stuff which made me feel hesitant with getting close to guys. Beyond that, I felt the lie that I have no people in my life who would want to give me an unconditional hug.

It’s funny because I would always sing about running to the Father and being welcoming to his loving arms. I envision the Prodigal Som being deeply and joyfully embraced by his loving father, despite all the wrong he has done in his life.

So deeply do I want to be hugged by the Lord. I want to feel his embrace, his warm, and his protection. I want to feel his arms squeeze my entire body and ooze all the lies, worries, fears, and negativity out of my system. I want his Hug tk feel me with peace, love, joy, and genuine refreshment.

I still look forward to my hug God. Until then, thank you Miles for hugging me.
