literally every time i remember that supernatural has the boys growing up in LAWRENCE KANSAS and it never did anything of interest with it i just get. really pissed off. they’re just like “oh yeah typical midwest place” and i’m like. what the fuck. you could not have chosen a more atypical kansas town if you did it on purpose

Ok. I have no idea how LC is going to end so *hypothetically* if everything ends well: NQK and the boys make it to the end, Hiruko loses, everything is well. But *hypothetically* Hiruko's like "You think this is over!? Well you haven't seen the last of me NQK!!" And POOF! he does something and she it reborn in another universe (anime/manga). What other stories would you consider for that *hypothetical* scenario?

Well, if we're speaking hypothetically...

He'd send me to worlds/universes/canons that fit one of the following three descriptions.

Canon #1: He'd send me somewhere I'd be utterly bored.

I'm like a dog with a lot of energy, in a way. Boredom turns me into a force of destruction. Mischief. Tomfoolery. I'll basically chew off my own arm if I get bored enough. If I thwarted Hiruko's Big Evil Plot in the YYH-canon, he might send me somewhere that would simply drive me up a wall with boredom. Think a canon like Maria Watches Over Us, which is about (possibly gay) school girls who have the tendency to fall down in a dead faint at the thought of events as mundane as going shopping for jeans. Sending me to a dramatic slice-of-life canon with low stakes (particularly a canon that I don't much care for or enjoy) would be my own personal version of hell.

Canon #2: He'd send me somewhere unfamiliar.

Think Naruto or Bleach, basically. I know only a little about each of those shows. Combining my lack of knowledge with their end-of-world stakes (or at least I THINK they have stakes that high??) would be a recipe for disaster. I'd go stir-crazy, not having a canon roadmap in my head the way I do for YYH, and he would enjoy seeing me squirm.

But on the flipside, NOT having that roadmap might actually be kind of freeing?? I think Hiruko might think I would be very unhappy about not having information on my side, but I could surprise him by simply saying "fuck it" and throwing caution to the wind. I tend to be very calm in situations I can't control, whereas in situations I can control, I overthink and overstress. So potentially, he might make a mistake by sending me to a place where I don't know much about the canon. One Piece would definitely fall into this category. I know very little about it and might just end up freely enjoying myself since I don't know anything about canon to adhere to.

Canon #3: He'd send me somewhere I'd be totally terrified.

There are lots of fictional universes that scare the crap out of me. Sending me to one of them, particularly one where I'd be a regular human up against eldritch/evil/inhuman forces I can't stand against, would be just plain sadistic of him. Think canons like Attack on Titan with big scary monsters, Alien with big scary... well, aliens, The Grudge with unkillable ghosts, etc.

YYH doesn't fall into this category because humans can develop powers in that universe, plus I can count on the main characters for some protection. ALSO I just love that canon, which keeps some of the fear at bay.

... but actually, now that I bring that I mention loving the canon he sent Not-Quite-Keiko to, a fourth scenario occurs to me.

Canon #4: He'd send me somewhere I actively dislike.

Sending me to a canon whose world and characters I actively dislike would be it's own version of hellacious. I won't yuck anyone's yum and sit around bashing any one canon in particular (although I did mention one or two earlier in this post that fit the bill), but going to a world I dislike would be uuuggghhhh.

And of course, sending me somewhere that fits a combination of the above scenarios would be a Special Hell. A place I'm scared of, know little about AND dislike??? That would SUCK.
