Say what you will about the Looney Tunes Show, but you have to admit (or maybe you don't) that its incarnation of Lola is superior to her Space Jam one.

THIS IS TRUE! Lola is one of the things i like about TLTS and do think they did well with. likewise with turning Gossamer into a kid, i always get whiplash when i remember he's just a regular ol' monster LOL. Lola barely registers as a character to me tbh/i don't really consider her or Tina a LT character, so maybe that's why i enjoy them... kinda... in the show

#i like Tina but typing this i remembered she was mean to Porky once so nevermind. < worded facetiously i don't believe this but also i do #ugh. LT is very much a sausage party in its characters and definitely creators but unfortunately a lot of attempts to rectify it just feel #... i don't know! i don't know how to word it #i like the early Granny shorts where she's voiced by Bea Benaderet and very senile and has a gun or is literally burning her money or #something. and Witch Hazel is fun (and that's another thing i liked about TLTS i love Roz Ryan voicing her)#i like Petunia..... because i've co-opted her and made up my own lore and stuff for her and so usually when i read comics with her or #something i'm thinking of my headcanon for her rather than her as an actual character #same with Penelope #i'm trying to word something here and don't know how to articulate it. the lack of women characters in LT is disappointing #but attempts to force it feel even weirder to me. such as Lola in Space Jam. and even though she's been rectified in TLTS there's still a #weirdness there for me i guess. she's not a LT character to me #and that's why i like her in TLTS because there's no way they can screw her up worse than her source material #unlikealmosteveryoneelseinthatshow #mysteriouslystrangeyeti #asks #i'm sorry women </3 #maybe my standards are too high though because in terms of women in golden age animation Olive Oyl is a golden standard #one of my favorite fictional characters ever i love her #and i like Little Lulu a lot though like Olive she didn't originate from those shorts #but i guess... there's something that feels condescending and weird about these things #like hey kids here's this FEMALE BUGS BUNNY for all you GIRLS out there!! like... don't condescend me just give me the regular Bugs #maybe all of this is just my inner 7 year old tomboy who hated anything girly or appealing to girls because i felt like i was being #condescended to
