I reverted back to the days when I used to acknowledge my every step on the sidewalk. Memories of arriving at a friend's house for a playdate and how the walk from the car to the door seemed to take an eternity. Noticing cracks and bumps in the concrete. Cats lazily resting on porches, neighbors doing yard work, kids playing in backyards, pinwheels spinning in the wind. I definitely need to do this regularly.
