you know i really love that priest wrote that wcx dresses masculine and deepens her voice to pass as a man. there's really no reason at all for wcx to do this, she's long past the point where her grandfather dressed her like that for her protection, but she does it anyways because she just prefers to present herself this way, AND its consistently brought up by the narrative and not forgotten or pushed to the side. i genuinely appreciate it a whole lot :)

#pip speaks #unsolicited tai sui opinions #hi. read tai sui. we have gender here #also wcx got a wife. like idk if it'll be canon yet but they live together and had the funniest possible meetcute #im obsessed with them #women <3 #wcx continues to be the coolest tai sui character #i really like the cool noir detectives pj has but you know what he doesnt have? gender and a vengeance arc. so wcx wins.#i feel like normally when a character is written as presenting themself as a man it's both under duress and something they want to escape #+being able to present themselves in a more feminine way is shown as being liberating by the narrative and then its never brought up again #which is perfectly fine!! and can be done really well AND also has its own fun gender stuff #but like. i also really like it when they continue to present themselves masculine because thats just what they prefer #there's a lot of things tai sui does that i like a lot #normally thoughts like these get slapped onto my side twitter account (zapphalt) but i went over the word count #and apparently i have more to say than i thought. oops @ these tags
