For 18 seasons, CBS’ Tuesday lineup was anchored by NCIS before the venerable crime drama moved to Mondays in fall 2021 to make room for an FBI night. The NCIS franchise is returning to the Tuesday 8 PM time period this fall with the Paramount+ Australia series NCIS: Sydney, which will premiere in the slot Nov. 14.

NCIS: Sydney, the first international spinoff for a CBS Studios global drama franchise, was originally slated to debut on CBS Nov. 13, three days after the series’ worldwide premiere in Australia, and air in the Monday 10 PM time period.

However, ABC announced this week that it will simulcast 10 additional Monday Night Football games. With the move, NCIS: Sydney, a rare original scripted series on the fall broadcast schedule, severely impacted by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, will not have to face NFL football while also capitalizing on NCIS fans’ longtime viewing habits of tuning in Tuesdays at 8 PM.

In the hour, NCIS: Sydney will succeed Big Brother, which will have wrapped its season by then. It will be followed by an NCIS rerun for a two-hour franchise block, and Paramount+’s FBI: True docuseries, which will slide from 9 PM to 10 PM starting Nov. 14.

Originally, NCIS: Sydney was supposed to follow an NCIS repeat on Mondays and air in NCIS: Hawai’i‘s Monday 10 PM slot. Back-to-back NCIS repeats will now run from 9-10 PM Mondays as CBS is relying on its arguably most resilient repeat performer against MNF while also keeping the block warm for NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i’s eventual return to originals.

I hear the 10 PM slot is envisioned as a drama procedural wheel, with FBI, whose repeats will be airing Tuesdays 9 PM, leading to FBI: True, until NCIS: Sydney‘s arrives, expected to be part of the rotation.

In other CBS fall schedule tweaks, new reality series Buddy Games, currently airing Thursday 9 PM behind Big Brother, will swap slots with Big Brother on Thursday, Sept. 28.

NCIS: Sydney, starring Olivia Swann and Todd Lasance, sees rising international tensions in the Indo-Pacific. Phoenix Mercury player and two-time Olympic gold medal winner Brittney Griner has announced that she and wife Cherelle have welcomed their first child, a son named Bash. 

In 2022, Brittney was arrested and charged in Russia when customs found vapes containing hashish oil in her luggage.

The basketballer was detained for 10-months of a 9 year sentence and her return to the US was only secured through a one-for-one prisoner swap with Russia.

Now, less than two years since her release, Brittney and her wife have welcomed their first child.

Speaking on CBS Sports’ “We Need to Talk,” the basketballer confirmed that the newest addition to their family arrived on July 8, and revealed she hopes her son will call her “Pops” instead of “Mum.”

Are there any cases where countries have introduced a CBDC while maintaining control over their citizen’s financial resources?

Christine Lagarde, head of the European Central Bank, admitted that the purpose of CBDCs, like the digital euro, is control. She also noted that those who pay more than 1,000 EUR in cash for any transaction are doing so off the grid and will be fined or go to jail.

Whoa, using your own cash for private transactions over 1,000 EUR in the European Union will send you to jail? That’s a pretty scary thought.

Then we have Sen. Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) pro-digital dollar draft—Senate Bill 3571—Banking for All Act. It describes Federal Digital Wallets.

Now, to add icing to the cake,  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), along with Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), introduced legislation to abolish digital money privacy. It’s called the Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2022.

This Act could strip privacy from digital money transactions, should the United States enact a CBDC, also known as Fedcoin. This is what American Banker, an organization dedicated to updating bankers on all financial and banking affairs, had to say about the Act:

This bill violates our digital privacy. The bill would require digital wallet companies to register as money services businesses, which means they would have to monitor clients’ payment transactions like banks even if they don’t move money. This means that a wallet company would be responsible for monitoring our personal digital wallets … for filing reports to the federal government.

As Forbes has reported in the past: “Privacy advocate experts worry that digital currencies would give governments too much control over how and where people spend their money. Many see them as the ultimate tool of government financial surveillance.” …

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) says, “CBDCs pose a clear threat to Americans’ financial independence.”

Rep. While various ones in the USA and elsewhere have concerns, digital currencies are more and more being studied and implemented.

That said, I believe that Donald Trump would make CBDCs a BIG election issue if it looked like they would be fully implemented before the 2024 election.

The European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties and Justice (LIBE) has overwhelmingly voted to endorse the latest digital euro report backing the European Central Bank’s (ECB) proposed digital euro, taking the bloc one step closer to a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

The draft legislation would make a proposed CBDC legal tender and was passed by a resounding 48 in favor of with only six against (and with seven abstentions).

A digital euro has been in the works since June 2023, and the latest draft of the bill, approved by LIBE on February 15, includes amendments that provide support for permissionless blockchains and address prior concerns raised by European banks. We continue to to see many European and some American leaders pushing for CBDCs.

According to the Bible, Europe will end up with the ability to control and monitor buying and selling.

That would seem to have to require some type of computers and digital currency.

The Bible says that a coming totalitarian, European Beast power will control buying and selling.

Moves in that direction were part of #13 of my list of 24 items to prophetically watch in 2024:

13. CBDCs and 666

Notice the following prophecy:

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)

This type of financial surveillance could not have happened during the time of the Apostle John as there was no real way to monitor many financial transactions then (despite the fact that ‘preterists’ believe this was fulfilled almost 2000 years ago, see also The Dangerous Rise of Preterists). The same was true for all the centuries that followed until the late 20th and now the 21st century. But now not only does the technology exist to monitor most financial transactions, the political will is there as well.

It will be a European power that will fulfill the above prophecy of 666 (watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

It will likely take supercomputers aided with artificial intelligence to aid in the fulfillment of the scriptures in Revelation 13:15-18, as well as cyber-spying/monitoring. I do believe that cyber monitoring will be used by the European Beast, King of the North, 666 power.

We are seeing a move to digital/electronic money. Notice a news item from 2023:

Knowledge and monitoring of financial transactions is greatly increasing.

Europe has claimed that it will be the dominant force in cryptocurrency.

The Europeans will push for a CBDC.

Many within BRICS will push for a CBDC.

While 2024 will not see a cashless world, expect to see more movements towards monitorable payments.

Expect to see more steps related to Central Bank Digital Currencies in 2024.

The fall of the US dollar and the trend towards digital money will concern many.

Look for more totalitarian steps to be proposed and/or implemented in 2024.

Biblically, we know that 666 financial controls will be put in place in Europe, and likely elsewhere.

Actions towards Central Bank Digital Currencies looks to make that easier. The US Congress will not stop what the Bible shows will happen in Europe.

World Economic Forum, CBDCs, and 666

Are there concerns about CBDCs (Central Bank Digitial Currencies)? The Summer meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) was held from June 27-29, 2023 in China. Did WEF speaker and Cornell University professor Eswar Prasad warn of CBDCs could “take us to a pretty dark place’? What did the European Commission say about the future of a digital euro and various protections the same week? Is the tweeted statement, “No one will be able to control how you use your euros” false in the long run according to biblical prophecies, such as Revelation 13:16-18? Is there a real ability to program a CBDC with an expiration date as well as restricting what it could be used to purchase? Has monitoring of purchase transactions been proposed by various European leaders? Does the EU already have a potential enforcement arm of ‘666’? Has the European Central Bank said that cash was “not fit for the digital economy’? Are we moving more towards a cashless world? Are things really changing towards that? Maria Hinojosa is among one of the first Latina journalist at NPR and CNN broadcasting newtwork. In addition, she is the anchor and executive producerr for Latino USA, and founder/CEO of Futuro Media.

In an interview with Raul. A. Reyes, she lays out all about her new memoir "Once I Was You: A Memoir of Love and Hate in a Torn America". Within it, she states that many individuals contacted and reached out to her via social media to tell her how they relate and resonate to her story, to which she mentioned it "meant a lot to me". Born in Mexico City, when Hinojosa was young she emigrated to the US with her family in 1962 and grew up in Chicago. Early in her career, she experienced many discrepancies, such as how identifying as Latina and Mexican-American shaped her perspective on media platforms. As a result, and later on into her career, she started believing in herself, stating "I had to stop fighting against everyone and every institution. I had to change the way I was fighting". Moreso, the title of the book derives from her experience and conversation with a young girl being transported in McCallen, Texas at the height of Trump's family separation policy. Where in having a final word with the young girl she said "I see you-because once I was you".

In 1892 Dvorak landed in the USA, newly appointed director of the National Conservatory of Music of America, in New York City. During his three years in the USA, he was also tasked with the job of spearheading the synthesis, or creation, of a truly (North) ‘American’ musical form of expression. Though still a post-colonialist viewpoint -widespread quintessentially North-American music already existed in the form of the music of black and native peoples- the choice of Dvorak, as a composer who might be able to do this was within the realm of art music, was an inspired one. Dvorak had for years made music of his native Bohemia an integral part of his compositional output. Children of this effort include his symphony no.9 ‘From the New World’, the cello concerto, and the ‘American’ string quartet, performed tonight.

At the Conservatory, one of his black students, singer, composer, and arranger Mr. Harry T Burleigh frequently shared black, and other native music, with Dvorak. It was through Burleigh that Dvorak came to feel that much of this music was (as still is much native music in many other parts of the world) based on the pentatonic scale. Every theme in the ‘American’ string quartet is pentatonic, as is the anonymous negro spiritual ‘Deep River’.

The British-Sri Lankan composer Yshani Perinpanayagam has based her ‘We Folk Disquieten’, here a world premiere, also on the pentatonic scale; or rather, several. There is really only one pentatonic scale, which can be anchored to any given note, ie played ‘higher’ or ‘lower’. Perinpanayagam, giving each instrument a distinct pentatonic scale, represents the local voices of different peoples in different parts of the world, gathering them in a single, powerful, unified voice as the work unfolds.

‘Pyramid in an Urban Landscape’ by the Mexican (hence North American) composer Diana Syrse is given here its UK premiere. In it she combines the use of traditional string quartet instruments with pre-Columbian ones. At first, one may wonder why these pre-Columbian shapes and sounds are irrupting into the old, established order of the string quartet- until we realise it is the ‘West’, the colonisers, who have encroached around the pyramids, the ayoyote, the ocarina and the shaker, all of whom were there first.

The title of the concert, ‘Emerging’, evokes the idea of the new: new music, new paintings, new art. But these final expressions cannot be understood without also delving somewhat into the different processes and cultural environments, which lay out the conditions in which artists work, to generate this new art. We invite the audience to join us in being a part of the process that underpins the genesis of some of the works we perform today.

ABC News’ ‘Nightline’ Ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

‘Nightline’ Beats CBS’ ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’ In All Key Target Demos

‘Nightline’ Posts Gains Week-To-Week and Year-to-Year Across the Board

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 during the week of Nov. 28, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” also beat CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in Adults 18-49.

“Nightline” posted double-digit gains week-to-week in Total Viewers (+18% - 858,000 vs. 725,000), Adults 25-54 (+15% - 199,000 vs. 173,000) and Adults 18-49 (+33% - 144,000 vs. 108,000), drawing its largest overall audience in 9 weeks ― since w/o 9/26/22.

“Nightline” improved on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+20% - 858,000 vs. 714,000), Adults 25-54 (+8% - 199,000 vs. 184,000) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 144,000 vs. 133,000).

Season to date, “Nightline” is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+8% - 890,000 vs. 826,000) and Adults 18-49 (+3% - 156,000 vs. 152,000). In addition, “Nightline” leads CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in all key target demos.
