Hi, I love your Gen Rex fic and I have a question about the upcoming part. I saw the timeline and I am curious if you are planning to include the ’Basic’ episode. I would love to see how your Noah and Rex react to Providence recruits training against once human EVOs (including sentient ones like the guy in a suit who just wants to get out of there) and learning how to dissect live specimens.

Oh my good you're doing great work, I'm so excited for the next chapter and what you're working on next! It's always so exciting and I may or may not be in the middle of binding the whole series after eating through what feels like the entirety of the generator rex fanfics.

Do you have any recommendations actually of other good fics like yours?

HELLO????? you HAVE to show us. progress pics also would be so cool if youre willing to share... i (fae) actually also do bookbinding, but only blank sketchbooks and other art things, no words yet. definitely a little bit scared to try lmao. i hope you're using the intended font because i know some people dont have >>the play font<< downloaded even though we put it at the beginning of the story to remind people. but it is the optimal reading experience with the correct font. and there will be even more messing around with fonts and formatting in the next fic :]

as for recs!

largely we wrote fhs BECAUSE there's not really any content like it in the fandom, so we went insane about it and decided to feed ourselves. but we do have a few things we can toss at you!

lots of body horror lots of medical experimentation lots of trauma! its a complete fic, AND it's actually written by one of our friends @abrielarnold who helped with our early development of fhs and also wrote several scenes in establish connection!

another rec: >>CHECKERBOARD<< is an au where, when rex comes back after the time skip, césar successfully collars and controls him. sadly this one is unfinished, but its still absolutely worth the read!

told myself I'll be reading this during the summer but I got way too curious and read Failure Condition and OMG IT'S SO GOOD!!! I'm so so so so pumped to read the rest I literally have to hold myself from not doing it because I can't let myself get hyperfixated rn ')

i would slap you on the wrist (joking) for reading out of order but we DID post failure condition first (thinking it would be a one-off as stated many times), so you are in fact reading in the order that most people did last year lmao.

but now that we've proper written everything else, the correct reading order IS chronological so make sure to start with the first fic first next time!

I've been rereading the series in prep for the update (because I am. normal lol) and I KNOW this series is about Rex and Noah (and it is very, very good btw, it's given my Gen. Rex gremlin fan brain life) but god I love the way you all write Six and Holiday. Like these stories are how *I* think of the main cast now. okay that's all, hope you're all having a good day!

Hi! I love the series, have read everything you've put out for it so far... finally had a minute to read updated Failure Condition and it punched me in the chest (emotionally) again like I was reading it for the first time... Fantastic!

(More Fic anon) No I knew you guys were talking about updating an old fic! It's still more content dude! In my brain that's not different from writing something entirely new because it's still more information and you still get to see more of the characters interacting or learning more about the world and that's the part that's fun! I loved failure condition I'm not going to be upset about more of it!

finding out theres s group rewriting generator rex is all i ever needed, is there anyway i can join? i am an artist and a writer

its really cool that youre excited about our series enough to want to be a part of it, but im sorry to say that we're not open to new "members", since its not an organized rewrite project.

me and kei have been writing partners for a while, and for the most part its just us doing this. this series has been our baby for the last 6 months and we have a very specific vision for it. we've got the general structure of everything plotted out already, and it just has to be actually written down for it to be finished.

occasionally a couple of our close friends help us with plot problems or specific scenes (we credit them as guest writers), but this isnt a big project with a writers room type discord or anything. its 2 people with a hyperfixation.

we're glad you like what we've got so far, and we hope you like the what's coming up next!

Noah IS an asshole and it's GREAT. <3 the psychology of this white boy... I am studying him under a microscope. (I will continue to study him far into the future... So much change will happen with his character over the course of this fic series and I can't wait)

I was obsessed with Generator Rex when I was younger, and it always made me sad that very few people had ever even heard of it. I love you guys for writing Establish Connection, I'm enjoying it so much and can't wait to see where you take it! 💙🧡

We also wish more people knew about Gen Rex! The reason Fae and I (Kei) went so crazy when we found out we were both fans is because it's so easy to feel like the Only Gen Rex Fan on this Earth
